Knowledge of Good and Evil

Knowledge of Good and Evil

I pray this article will find you well and bless you with truth and spiritual development. I believe it is crucial for me to understand the knowledge of good and evil. I hope you will find value from sharing the experience of my inquiry.

What is knowledge?

Knowledge is information. If I take away all information but the fact that I exist, where does my knowledge come from? How do I understand anything? Take away the “search bar” and ask me what I know. Knowledge is circumstantial. I could tell you what my perception of knowledge is, but it’s the knowledge of Nathan.

How about you? Apart from the education you’ve received and environmental influence or governance. Would you be able to explain how and who you are? What does knowledge mean for you? What is the knowledge of you?

It is interesting, at least for me, when I consider that I know nothing apart from divine inspiration. It only makes sense that knowledge comes from the spirit of my being, my soul. Here is where it gets fascinating. The soul breathed into man by God was sustained by the garden of Eden which was/is a divine place of God. Something happened when Adam and Eve ate of the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The tree was divine in that when we (humankind born of Adam and Eve) ate of the fruit became like God (knowing good and evil).

Before we ate that fruit were made in the image and likeness of God but did not know what God knew. We cultivated and governed as representatives of God, but were not God; eating of that fruit made man become like God without being THE God, if that makes sense. We were given divine inspiration to the knowledge of good and evil upon eating what God warned us not to eat because we would be condemned to death.

The curse of death is the mark we bear as a testimony of the truth to our sin and punishment for evil.

There are two deaths, but I won’t get into that now. The point is that we have divine knowledge of good and evil. The Bible teaches us about this knowledge and with the Holy Spirit enlightens us to salvation from death. And that is good news!

What is good?

Only God is good! That is how God, is God, because God is good. If my God were not good, but evil also, then there is no God, but only chaos. Truth is good. There is a reason death is a consequence to my present state. This is also why my God can be trusted, because His judgement is just. How I know is by Jesus Christ. If God were evil would not go to the extent of giving His only Son as a living sacrifice for the sin of the world, provided to and for all that will come to believe in Him to be saved and ultimately rewarded depending on the race you run in salvation. Good is what pleases God, and God is love.

What is Evil?

Evil is Satan. Seeking out the vulnerable for abuse. Distorting the truth. Thinking I am the God of my life. Believing that Jesus Christ did not come in the flesh. Evil is Judas Iscariot betraying the innocent blood of Jesus Christ. For the love of money is the root of all evil. Adultery at heart. Murder at heart. Lying. The sinister element that tempts the heart to corruption. The desire to take and consume life rather than to give of it. To steal rather than serve. To not clothe the naked. To not give food to the hungry and drink to the thirsty. To not visit those in prison.

To understand the tree of the knowledge of good and evil means to discern your spirit and the spirit of those that come to you. The only thing I care to find out about a person is whether they know the truth and believe in Jesus Christ.

Do you know the truth about our condition of sin and do you believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ?

Nathan Dooley

The Shadow Of Death

†The Shadow Of Death†

Why do we die? What happens when we die? Wait, soooo…two people have not experienced death? Did we die at the beginning of mankind?

I take for granted this “blip” of life given me by God. It’s been quite a convicting ongoing study of death, key in on the “ongoing” because there are so many testimonials of this experience that it’s difficult not to get lost in confusion and fear of the unknown, to the point of just … giving up.

It is also difficult when finding the answer of consequence in relation to those not believing in Jesus Christ (The Word of God) to be that they are destroyed in hell. To think about someone you love so deeply being in such a place. It just doesn’t seem plausible that a loving God would do that. The experience that surrounds the event of death can cause many to question their faith, or understanding of life, it’s traumatic.

From my search and study in Genesis of the Bible found that I die because of the warning “…for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.” I live in a “garment of skin” that testifies to the ground from which my father (Adam) was created; this ground I walk on, the dust that I am and will eventually return to, is cursed. Because the curse consequently … is death.

But that’s not the end.

The reason I believe Adam didn’t die as expectantly was because of the length of time that concludes 1 day. Adam lived to be nearly 1000 years old after the consequence of his sin, but it says that God warned “…for in the day…” so what happened? Why didn’t he die in that day? And why don’t we die in a day?

The apostle Peter of Jesus Christ enlightens me to this truth “that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.” so that explains the reason why Adam didn’t just die as expectantly. These forms of enlightenment are all throughout scripture.

Please don’t do yourself a disservice not to at least consider trusting God with your time in His Word to help you through very hard and difficult times and questions.

Ultimately my Lord God and Father in Heaven is sovereign in how life is governed. I can only hope that those who’ve heard or are hearing this gospel will believe in it’s message. Because the message will give warning and reward. To believe means you bear responsibility to the preaching of this Word that confirms your eternal salvation. To do so means to love, not only your family, but the entire world. Because my Lord and Savior did not die in vain, but so that the world might be saved through Him. The gift of the Holy Spirit that records your name in heaven is the reward.

I pray you will trust in the providence of God. Because none are without excuse, even the dead have heard and are hearing the gospel.

LIVE

In love,

Nathan Dooley

P.S. Tell me who the “two people” are that have not experienced death.

Broken | Coffee Cup

Went to wash my coffee cup and it slipped right out of my hand with a failed attempt to hackysack that sucker. Boom! Broken. It’s interesting though, how that reflects me. I’m broken. Are you broken? I need some coffee…oh wait. That’s alright, I have the coffee cup my grandma gave me.

How am I broken?

I’m broken by the reality of sin. I understand my condition, prone to selfishness. my body is descending to a place of death. But why? And what does that mean? Being equipped with the Holy Spirit inspires to enlighten me with the truth.

I recognize that the condition of my body represents the decaying matter of my soul passed on through Adam and Eve at the time of their deception and disobedience. The ground from which man was made is cursed because Adam listened to his wife by eating the fruit he knew not to eat.

The fruit Eve and Adam ate of was from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. So we now possess the knowledge of good and evil understanding our guilt and just judgement of God.

↓But why didn’t we die?

The human intelligence has evolved to the point of creating simulations of ourselves with the intention of birthing an artificial soul or souls that can feel, think, and relate for it/themselves without human involvement; we will build a beast, the beast of revelation (mission complete). What next? The point is we want to determine for ourselves our time of death or to avoid the experience altogether.

↑We didn’t die because we don’t determine our time of death. God does. God created us. We didn’t create God. There is a time of death I pray the person reading this will not experience, but it is determined by God. Don’t try and say you weren’t warned.

Would you like to know when that time of death is that God determines? Me to, join the club, but we are given signs of the times to watch for. Pay close attention, because the time is near.

Although in process of sanctification…

I’m broken.

In love,

Nathan Dooley

Grandma

The Difference Between A Relationship And Religion

I was talking with a guy here recently about life. A military man. This guy has quite the story, a lot I can relate and not relate to, been through more than most in a short period of time being in his early thirties. It’s no wonder the reason he questions his relationship to God. He believes there is something, a higher power; but the God of the Bible and Christianity, not buying it or any other gods/god of the many facets to other religions.

Did you know that anger can be a religion?

How about a sport like soccer?

Even the military?

I resonate especially with the first two “anger” and “soccer”. But now, my religion, is my grandma. That might seem weird, but I’m telling you, only if you knew my grandma would you understand. This woman believes in visiting the orphans and widows in their †distress, that is literally her job as a caregiver at 77 (nearly 78) years old. I’ve seen my small but strong and wise grandma lift and guide an older gentlemen from his seat to the wheelchair and help people in their distress over and over again.

I’ve witnessed how this woman (my grandma) has loved a family that has rejected her time and time again. My grandma has slept outside in her cold car because she was unwelcome by family only to come back and love again and again. How… do… you… do… that? I’ve heard and seen the treatment, the abuse, she’s endured for the sake of Who she believes in and yet with humility sharing only her mistakes without blaming anyone else. She was told where to sit and what to do if she wanted to see her grand kids and guess what…she did. Writing this infuriates me, yet remembering, “Nathan, Nathan, how I was treated doesn’t matter…” are you kidding me!

My grandma is the type that might scold me for this praise but you’re reading a result of her labor in the Lord her God and I’ll scream aloud “Jesus Christ is Lord!” Because no navy seal can compare to my grandma, bring it! Just kidding, don’t hurt me. The point is religion is a religious practice of what you believe. And my grandma practiced hard with her Bible not only in hand or by word, but her actions. It’s true there are a lot of religions that provoke a lot of questions and demand certain practices, but that is the reason I labor for the preaching of the gospel to all nations.

Because religion to the gospel is defined by visiting the orphans and widows in their distress while being unstained by the world. It is not putting yourself in chains as though you can’t have fun or enjoy life. But it is respecting the true God of your soul and having a relationship with Him every moment of every day. I’m not saying you can’t have a drink of alcohol unless it’s to your destruction (abuse it—then don’t drink it). I’m not saying don’t have a cigarette or cigar, maybe even marijuana depending on where you live, but not to your destruction (addicted—then don’t smoke it).

You might be convinced you’re unable to break a bad habit, but respectfully, you’re wrong. That is like saying, “I won’t stop cheating on my wife because I’m unable, I’ll get cranky, so wheres my porn at!” We all have the ability but lack the discipline because we’re given over to not caring, “who cares”. The One Who created us cares, God didn’t create an experience (sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll) to be abused or take control of you. Have an experience in moderation and respect of wisdom and honor. Now that … is quite a thrill!

Don’t make a religion your excuse not to believe in this gospel being preached to you. We need more Christians speaking, writing, videoing the essential of the gospel of Jesus Christ; Not speaking, writing, videoing my/their personal preference, expectation, or standard of life change—the Holy Spirit of God that convicts every believer will do that work of salvation, justification, and sanctification. We are just providential agents.

I love you Grandma,

Nathan Dooley

The Testing Of Your Faith

What use is it, if someone says they have faith but no works? Can that faith save them? If a person is without clothing and in need of food, and you say to them, “Go in peace, be covered and filled,” yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that? (James 2:14-16). Is there a person in your life that is without clothing (help) and in need of something to eat (spiritual food)? Are you that person?

I’m going to use the figurative language of “clothing” and “food” to *self-control* and *wisdom* for my case. Because I do not know and will not presume to know what help you need without learning your heart (so feel invited to reach out to me). But learning of my embarrassment might help you. It’s embarrassing, as well it should be, to confess my recent lack of self-control to my wife and brothers in Christ. It wasn’t that I’d looked at pornography or sought anything out to feed this duress of orgasmic relief. But to keep it “C” rated, Christian rated. I uhhh, “choked the chicken” if you will, and the chicken liked it. I know, deranged, I agree. But the heart of my issue is a relationship between respect and worship.

I say that my faith is in Jesus Christ. So why then am I still given over to these lustful temptations? Why hasn’t the Holy Spirit removed the struggle of sin from my life?

My struggle of respect is subcategory to the root issue of pride. I think to myself, “now that the Holy Spirit lives within me I’ve overcome sin.” Give special attention to the I’ve of that thought process. Now … because I was given over to the lust of my heart being a christian can handle it one of two ways. Get frustrated enough to say, “Sense I’m unable to resist the urge; I must not be saved, and or am stepping away from faith for now.” (John 6:66) (confused about the power of faith) or “I’m a sinner saved by grace through faith, it’s not of myself, but is the gift of God.” (Ephesians 2:8-9) and confess it for healing (knocked down, but it’s not over, let’s do this). Share this post if you know someone that can relate to this because they’re not alone. We are in this fight together in Christ.

“Examine me, O Lord, and try me; Test my mind and my heart.”

Psalm 26:2

I don’t want to be like the disciples that walked away just because the testing of their faith was hard (John 6:66). This will be hard to hear because it’s hard to ask, but in love. Are you a coward? Am I a coward? Let’s brow beat about it! Listen, only your friends are going to tell you what you need to hear and I want to be your friend even if you don’t like me. Believe me, I don’t like myself a lot of the time. I mean…my poor wife (I love you honey). I digress.

It is especially difficult to recognize the “clothing” *self-control* I need if I don’t respect anyone telling me where I’m wrong or allow them to help me let alone the Lord my God and Father in Heaven by the power of His Spirit in the Word of His Son—the gospel. It is a hard HIT to my pride when I think I’ve overcome sin that I never overcame nor will ever overcome MYSELF.

This is the GIFT and LOVE of God; that He gave the ONLY ONE capable of overcoming sin, and it took DYING for it to be overcome.

Just because I was baptized in reflection of the death of Christ does not qualify me as having overcome sin (as though I did it myself). It means that I recognize that I’m not capable of overcoming sin (which brings me to the point of death saying “I’m a sinner” in need of saving from this death) and will always NEED the spiritual food {bread and wine} of JESUS CHRIST {blood and body} which is eternal salvation for my soul (Holy Spirit inspired Word of God). That is why I rejoice in these trials and tribulations even when I miss the mark because Christ my Lord DID NOT MISS THE MARK!

I mean … writing this gets me pumped up and ready for war like the appearance of God just showed up having eyes a flame of fire clothes dipped in blood and His name called The Word of God that strikes down the beast and kings of the earth and their armies assembled to make war against the KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS! (Revelation 19). So…

…don’t let sin convince you of your worth to God, you are tested because you are worthy of His love.

I encourage you as a brother of the faith in Jesus Christ, you’re not alone and we need each other. Read Hebrews chapter 12! My (food) *wisdom* is found there. But here is a piece of it—

“4 You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin; and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons,

My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord,
Nor faint when you are reproved by Him;
For those whom the Lord loves He disciplines,
And He scourges every son whom He receives.”

It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline?”

Also, the action steps I’ve taken to go to war against the present duress of sin is memorizing:

If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us. (1 John 1:6-10)

Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother. (1 John 3:7-10)

I Don’t Follow Jesus

I Don’t Follow Jesus

“What!? No.” I know what you’re thinking, but I’m not trolling you. And remember, even though I don’t follow Jesus … keep loving people like He did and treat them as you want to be treated. Don’t try and scroll down to see what my aim is here. Does it surprise you? I mean…

I think John L. Cooper said it best—

“More and more of our outspoken leaders or influencers who were once “faces” of the faith are falling away. And at the same time they are being very vocal and bold about it.” (link)

And it only makes sense according to the Christian Post—

“Back in the 1930s, only 5% of Americans did not identify with any religion. In 1990 that number had risen to 8%, a modest increase after more than half a century.

But these last years have brought a dramatic change. By 2008, the number of Americans not identifying with any religion had risen to 12%, and by 2012, it had risen to 20%, with the number among millennials around 30%.” (link)

So this should not come as a surprise to you if it does. Especially if you’ve read how dark my previous post was. I mean, come on. I’ve been in the pits of unquenchable fire and suffering. I guess now the question is whether I truly EVER followed after Jesus? Some might think that my believing was in vain and only wanted something to gain. That I NEVER truly believed.

I would disagree and counter you misunderstand the enlightenment of your own faith or have not been enlightened to the truth of the gospel altogether. Just because you read that I don’t follow after Jesus does not mean that I wasn’t enlightened by the truth of the gospel, see I still know the truth and that is what should make this statement alarming.

The real question is—

Can the person turned away from their faith in Christ re-enter the Christian faith?

Sense we are talking about me because I’m selfish. The answer to that question for me is “no” because in my case I’ve confessed to taste the heavenly gift that made me a partaker of the Holy Spirit. So it is impossible for me to be renewed again to repentance since I again crucify to myself the Son of God and put Him to open shame. Don’t believe me, check out Hebrews chapter 6 in your Bible.

It is the Holy Spirit through the inspired words of the Bible that speak with authority … I’m just a messenger.

That is what happened to Judas Iscariot. Judas held onto his thievery at heart, did not confess this sin. To do this leaves the “believer” (by association) in this case, Judas Iscariot, vulnerable to Satan’s influence (John 12:4-6) and ultimate possession. This is why it is so important for professing Christians to not sell their soul for the cost of their sin not confessed.

38 John said to Him, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us.” 39 But Jesus said, “Do not hinder him, for there is no one who will perform a miracle in My name, and be able soon afterward to speak evil of Me. 40 For he who is not against us is for us. 41 For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because of your name as followers of Christ, truly I say to you, he will not lose his reward. (Mark 9)

49 John answered and said, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name; and we tried to prevent him because he does not follow along with us.” 50 But Jesus said to him, “Do not hinder him; for he who is not against you is ]for you.” (Luke 9)

I’ll confess that I used this title to especially peak the interest of those who thought they knew me to catch them like a fish. Because it’s the kind of friend I am, it’s what I do, that’s my humor and getting a rise out of my friends is quite fun, I admit. Not with the intention of destruction of course, then there would be an issue.

I wasn’t lying about not following Jesus, but I do follow after Jesus with all my heart, soul, strength, and mind. So brothers and sisters in the faith, don’t hinder me just because I’m not following after the style of gospel in you. Don’t hinder me just because you think there are enough christian resources out there for me to get plugged into one without having to startup a recourse of my own. Don’t hinder me…

In Love.

Divided

Divided

It’s sad to reach a point in life when the thought of hell seems much more appealing than to remain in the skin of your flesh. When the thought of escape is your only option, but are petrified. When a call for help is not meant for saving.

I don’t hate my life. But that unreliable feeling of hate sure is poking and prodding. What I hate is being divided by the questions and doubts of people that presume to know me when they don’t have a clue; there is just not enough time in the world to be completely free with people that choose not to believe they can trust you unless you adhere to their “divine” perception for you, then they might believe. As long as you stay within their realm of interpretation and perception.

It’s incredible the amount of attention you will draw to demons when living for your faith “Jesus as Lord” by recognizing sin for what it is and how I’m in desperate need of salvation. It’s incredible the sirens and temptations in place just for you. It’s a constant crouching (Genesis 4:7):

“Those people see you as a tyrant. That woman wants you. That man desires you. Do this to get rich. Say that to make a difference. You’re a sexy beast, well endowed, who can resist. It feels good to be right. It feels good to have power. You’re a liar. You’re a fraud, poser, fake, and the list goes on because you’re unworthy. Don’t waste my time. You have our undivided attention. Look at him, he is better than you in every way. You’re smart and beautiful, but ugly and stupid too. I feel depressed. You’re unstable, unfit, unqualified. Here is your kingdom of heaven! No, there it is!”

I ask myself, “why is this happening?” But it only makes sense. Because…demons are taking the time the world does not have to get to know you and me. Whether the world or I want to believe that or not, the truth sets us free. I hate this spiritual war that divides my soul and blood into pieces as bread for demons and wine for their minions. If you are a believer in the gospel of Jesus Christ, you’ll understand this war, but if not then I hope this will prick at your conscience because you’re held captive thinking you’re free.

They are clever. The devil and his demons … but I see them. And they know that I see them. “It’s a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:31). I’m in hell learning the tips and tricks of insanity navigating my way through the crowd in hope to save some if not all, “have you heard…“.

It’s sad…

I’ll Brow Kick You In The Face

I’ll Brow Kick You In The Face

Yeah, that’s right, you heard me…

I'll Brow Kick You In The Face

Right in the face. Marky Mark taught me that.

Man…wow, I let myself go there; It’s like, clean up your face or something before you just brow beat up the online world!

I’m learning a lot about this blog stuff. It’s important to stay consistent on posting. So here is one on why we need to be mindful of our facial expressions and upkeep. I mean look at that! I disgust myself! Although it is proving useful for some humor!

I have a time limit, so here we go!

Sometimes we can get so caught up in our emotions that we don’t even realize how our faces look to the outside world. You might be going into work right now without a care in the world, but let’s brow beat about that because you should care. If you’re a discontent person, don’t think that it’s disguised behind the veil of your fake face. It’s not hard to figure out if your a mean stupid idiot or not.

I won’t forget about the time going into work as a maintenance engineer (said lightly because there was still so much for me to learn) of a 14-story, five star, class AA office tower building (flex) to talk with the site supervising security officer at the time about life.

The officer was telling me about a circumstance in life that greatly concerned me because of the compromise of integrity and character that not only harmed himself, but had the potential to deteriorate the health of his family. So needless to say the conversation became serious enough that the officer said, “lets brow beat outside”. Once the conversation concluded, much respect was developed for each other by our ability to agree and disagree without compromising the relationship.

Now unfortunately that is not always the case. But the point is that our facial expressions have just as much power if not more, to deliver a message, as our words do.

So what message are you sending to yourself and the world today?

If you’re not content. Why aren’t you? Maybe this will help…

It’s funny! No idea my wife was recording me laugh at what I still thought was so funny, but probably even more funny that my wife has this confused look (again those facial expressions) why I find some things so funny that are not funny to her at all. I think that makes the situation more hilarious!

Anyway … I’ve crossed my deadline getting this published before the work day began. I hope it finds you with joy and if not, will put you in a joyful mood. I know it’s hard sometimes especially when in a state of depression.

In love.

The “Bridge” Illustration (Part 1)

The Heart Of Lucifer

I’m speaking to those of you who have heard and are still hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ, yet not believing.

I’m not speaking to those who claim they’ve not heard the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I think the lot of you not believing in this gospel is grounded on a profound question:

Does that mean those who have not heard are going to Hell?

My quick opinionated answer is “way above my pay grade” and a strong “depends” (potential future post) because wherever they are in their respective regions of the world are entirely entrusted to the providential care of God. (Romans 1:18-32) (Romans 2:12-16)

I need you only narrow your gaze in retrospect of your personal belief system. But widen your gaze in respect of what we are about to discover in the Bible together.

We are going to discover some spiritual clarity by this satellite view of the gospel.

BP1

You’ll find the same photo presented above in the previous (Introduction) post. But thisBefore the Beginning of Man time our view is not so disoriented as in the previous photo, because we could not perceive whether we’re looking skyward at the clouds, or a fog, maybe dense smoke in the wind?

But we now have some clarity. We have a satellite view of the Earth looking at clouds over the Indian Ocean with Indonesia and Malaysia to the east.

If you are a person that does not believe in the God of the Bible, the testimony of Jesus Christ. Then my confrontation is that you have a disorienting view of your future that threatens the condition of your soul and place in eternity.

That confrontation has the potential to come across judgmental—as though the answer of my hypothetical is the gavel to your freedom. I’ll assure you that that is not the case.

I lived in a thought that I believed, but didn’t truly understand what that meant until realizing more and more, day after day, the process of sanctification. Mind you, it is still in process. So lets widen our gaze.

BP1.

The gospel instructs me to make disciples; the bible is my instruction manual, and the Spirit of God is bearing witness to all that is being written by me and read by you; it is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God, so although humorous at times, do not take this lightly; my soul and spirit are distressed at the concern for those who can honestly say from within that they’ve heard the gospel, but are scared to trust in the message and or have turned away from the faith altogether.

Don’t be afraid. Come trust in this gospel of Jesus Christ. You’re being recruited for war against the evil oppressor of your soul and the souls of all nations.

The harvest is plenty, but the workers are few.

Stick with me! Because in case you didn’t notice by the plethora of distractions, we‘re on the verge of a misconception.

self-sustainability *

How that ties, comes together, is actually the start of our revelation to the “bridge” illustration. It begins at the heart of Lucifer revealed in the 2nd and 3rd chapters of Genesis, the 14th chapter of Isaiah, 28th chapter of Ezekiel, and the 12th/13th chapters of Revelation.

Don’t misinterpret or misunderstand the use of the video above. I’m not “knocking it”. Technology is a useful tool when maintained in biblical context. That video is only meant to describe and enlighten how advanced we are and to alert the christian children growing up in this age to an inevitable prophecy. Don’t freak out!

Oh yeah. Time for some coffee!

It was not an easy drive into the Dallas Zoo to see the Zoo Lights. We didn’t realize that patience needed to be packed, gOOdNite! The heck is wrong with people! Why is it so difficult for everyone to be civilized on the road, you know…waiting our turns, giving the right-away. I mean, no lie, a couple prayers went out for you people without patience and consideration. I’m the only one allowed without patience, not you. Get it right! Joke, that was a joke, have mercy.

Prepare to leave 15-30 minutes earlier than your original scheduled time and make sure to pack patience for the drive.

Once we made it to the entrance gate to wait on some friends realized they checked *ID’s* “no exceptions” (thankfully we had ours on us).

Have your drivers license with you at the entrance gate.

Once we were through the entrance … all the pressure and stress left. It was an awesome experience and worth the trouble to get in.

You’ll enjoy some great camaraderie; especially with that one idiot friend that is just there…you know…thinking they’re liked, but it’s no secret, definite loser. No, but seriously go and have a great time! It will be an experience that your friends and family won’t forget.

You can enjoy the stupid ugly flamingos that just stand there and do nothing. Yeah, I know, millennials at its finest. Kidding … Kidding … flamingos are pink and adorable, everyone should go see them. Very beautiful! Annnd I’m a millennial, so I don’t want to hear it.

Go and check out the musical dancing Christmas trees with some hot chocolate! Very cool! You might also meet and touch the radiated tortoise “Sunny”!

Only touch/pet the top of his shell and one person at a time.

Why Men Should Have Long Hair

No offense to the men with short or no hair. This is the first time I’ve grown my hair out as long as it is and I must say, it can feel real good when your wife plays with it! There is something about having long hair that gives a sense of accomplishment! So if you’re capable of growing it out, try it, but if not, get a wig. It will be fun and funny.

Pros To Men With Long Hair:
  • If you’re married or have girls, expect it decorated and played with on the regular.
  • When well groomed, the look can give off a strong sophisticated appearance.
  • Samson
  • Conversation starter on 1 Corinthians 11:14 (although that hasn’t happened yet).
  • Once long enough, you can donate it.
  • Enlightenment on the maintenance that seems to come so naturally for ladies.

Cons To Men With Long Hair:
  • None

Kidding. There are actually several cons to men with long hair, but that can wait for a future post!

Exit To Enter

Exit To Enter

Have you seen the movie, “The Adjustment Bureau”. If you haven’t I think it’s worth the watch because sometimes you’re at a place in life where the exit of what you thought was your career or direction is worth the risk.

There is a scene toward the end of this movie that will resonate with anyone, if it doesn’t, then you don’t have a soul. Kidding. But seriously, watch this scene!

It’s awesome because both David (Matt Damon) and Elise (Emily Blunt) reject an inexorable plan of success for the opportunity at love. They both took the “exit” of their separate reality’s that would otherwise lead to impact the future for good by their success to “enter” a reality of unity in love despite the odds. That requires a great deal of faith that I believe is available at the very core of our nature. And once tapped into, you’ve succeeded the plan of your environment to face uncertainty and death with freedom. Do you feel free? It might be time to consider an exit.

When You’ve Cheated On Her In Her Dream

When You’ve Cheated On Her In Her Dream

I wake up to my wife getting ready for work and check how I can help, make coffee, prepare food, or whatever to get her on her way. But something was off. I notice some distance. Before asking anything, she says, “I’m a little mad at you because you cheated on me in my dream.” Now…I’m laughing on the inside because she is trying hard not to treat me like this actually happened, but assure her that it was just a dream. Then she asks, “What would you have done if I caught you?”

The narcissistic egotistical pride thought process says, “That question is unwarranted and is not possible because I wouldn’t get caught.” and (even if that thought is a joke) would invalidate her present feelings. Don’t do that. The considerate prudent thought process is realizing how this dream has affected her, and embracing with, “It wouldn’t be healthy for me to answer as though that has or were going to happen; the thoughts that surround that question only mean for harm on the covenant of our marriage, but let me reassure that I love you and will honor our marriage.”

Husbands and Wives. Marriages. Let this be an encouragement to you. We are at war, not against each other, but for each other!

With love.
