I love this verse because it makes secure the salvation of your soul. In the first devotional you’ll read about the power of God through an instruction to be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect. In the second devotional you’ll read about how faith is our ability to be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect. In this devotional we have an intimate relationship between belief and faith that produces… The Perfect Promise!
If you’ve believed in the good news about the Son of God in the flesh of Jesus Christ—then you are perfect in that provision of love through faith, not fear, meaning that your confession of sin is forgiven (Luk 12:10). You might be experiencing a heavy load of guilt and shame for deep dark secrets that hold you captive to an environment of enslavement (Eph 5:1-21)? It’s like your soul is screaming for help because there is a consequence for the rejection of truth about your environment (2Pe 2:1-22). If that is the case…?
Please literally stop what you are thinking and doing and listen to this promise. God promised that He would provide salvation not just for a duration of time, but eternal salvation, meaning that Jesus Christ is the perfect promise of sacrifice to remove and remember your sin no more and to help you handle the deepest darkest issues of your life for complete restoration in the resurrection of Jesus Christ (1Tim 2:4-6, Jhn 16:7-15). By believing that truth is an act of faith you’ve decided to choose by trusting in this promise of God.
And so how to obey is that you trust in the name of Jesus Christ, and if you’ve decided to trust in the name of Jesus Christ… you are made perfect in love by the work of the Holy Spirit in your life. The darkness of your life will be converted to light through faith, believe in your faith (Eph 2:4-9), because you are loved with an eternal love. And Jesus Christ is your source of perpetual salvation! By really meditating on this promise, you will experience the providence of the Holy Spirit.
Don’t confuse the language of fear in this verse with the language of fear in the Lord, because the meaning of fear in this verse is very different than having the fear of the Lord (Pro 14:26). If you believe in Jesus Christ as the living Son of God that has come in the flesh (1Jo 4:2) then you have no reason to fear as described because our faith produces confidence in love that fills the place of fear (Heb 4:16) through conversion. God is love (1Jo 4:16)!
But you might be struggling with doubt or disbelief that God is love?
Or it might be that your belief is secure, but your faith is in question?
I pray this devotional will encompass you with perfect love. We need to establish the experience of faith to understand how love is perfected as the previous devotional incited. To do that, lets distinguish the difference between belief and faith because the relationship between the two reveals the invisible power of God for salvation to glorification. If you’re not a Christian, please consider following along our devotionals.
THE TREASURE OF FAITH
If you are a Christian, then you know who Jesus Christ is because you’ve heard and believed in the good news of the gospel; God sent His only Son (Jesus Christ) to be that Person who took away the sin of the world (Jhn 1:29, Heb 9:26). That means every repentant believer—although experiencing the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the boastful pride of life—is born again to salvation through the baptism of Jesus Christ (Mat 3:13-17, 1Jo 2:16, Rom 10:8-13, Mark 16:16, Act 2:38). When our Lord was baptized, the heavens opened and our heavenly Father said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.”(Mat 3:17). Why was our heavenly Father well-pleased?
Justice for sin is the death of this world unless it passes over somehow for life to exist eternally. To be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect means to have faith in the love of God—For God so loved the world—that He gave us the example of faith (Jhn 3:16-21). So to believe in Jesus means we’ve experienced salvation from our sin by the transfer of our account, that’s right, money and all—the sin of our souls—onto the cross of Jesus Christ. That requires faith! We no longer fear death because our lives are covered by the blood of Jesus Christ who still lives (Act 2:33)! And that is how death passes over those who believe. So to have faith in Jesus means our future is established in heaven where He is right now (Rom 8:35-39)!
The relationship between belief and faith is a declaration of trust in the invisible work of God. The aim of our faith is what casts out fear because we look to Jesus Christ!
The two most difficult tasks of faith conversion:
(1)Dying to the idol worship of yourself (because when your faith is in sin—rejection of the truth—your belief remains in the evil one of this world Jhn 8:44). The other is (2)loving your enemy to the extent Jesus loves you (because it’s only natural to gravitate toward the comfort of your environment (Gal 2:11-13) and harbor animosity against your abusers — to not care for the life of your enemies Mat 5:43-48). But when your belief is united by faith in Jesus (Heb 4:2), you’ve overcome the evil one (1Jo 2:12-14) and have the power to love your enemy even to death; your life is converted by the aim of your faith because your belief rests where Jesus is now (Heb 4:3). And so you are converted from a lifestyle of condemnation to a lifestyle of freedom; that is the promise of God and work of the Holy Spirit (Jhn 3:36). Our mission is clear, tell the world, and hope they hear (Luk 2:10-11).
The question is not a matter of *if* we sin, but when? for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,(Rom 3:23). If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us(1 Jn 1:10). Not one person of sound mind is ignorant of sin. Have you watched the conventions? We’ve nominated sinners up in this House! The heck is going on! Who do you think is going to rule the land for the next four years?
POWER OF SIN
Who’s it going to be?! Biden or Trump for 2020?! We’ll soon find out in a couple months. Oh yes, you’re right, I thought the same… “This ought to be interesting!”. It’s quite a choice deciding between the lesser of two evils; that idea should not be perceived as a slight against the character of Biden or Trump—because all of America’s citizens are on trial (myself included). Or… does the Voter not know that their vote is a portal to their identity? And so when the ‘lot’ falls on either the Democratic Party or the Republican Party, it will be due at the hand of your endorsement; we the people is more like we the demon possessing the condition of our White House or “home” to our governing administration. Or… perhaps you are an American citizen who has already voted due the immediately present media harbingers of power? If so… you’ve handed over the birthright of your soul long before there was even a choice you thought otherwise to consider.
Can you perceive the “call to arms”? Peoples defenses conjuring like it’s time for war! You’ve seen the riots lootings and shootings; that at the very least should cause pause, rampant emotions are the reason our country is in the face of civil war. And for radical change to happen we need to talk about the sin of our decisions, specifically—the decision to vote.
If you’re a Christian then your vote was cast at your conversion because we don’t serve two masters (Mat 6:24, Luk 16:13)! I believe the Christians in America that vote are actually voting for a prayer, the coming of Jesus Christ (Rev 22:20); because when a Christian wakes up to reality of His return, it shakes you to the core because only your faith remains intact when He does (1Jo 5:4). The people of God are born again to the purpose of serving the ministry of reconciliation (2Co 5:19), not to vote for Roman whoops—I mean the United States of America’s agenda into power. We the Christian people all throughout the continents, although divided, know the teaching of Christ and it’s time to wake up! The American dream for liberty means well, but does not deliver anyone from their sin because it’s to busy endorsing it… The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; (1 Co 15:56). Do we not fear God?
God our Father has disciplined us to understand the Word of God all the while we trample it underfoot by our allegiance to a government that does not teach true liberty in Jesus Christ (Heb 10:29). Sin is not the law governed by America nor of any other nation than that of Israel, until Christ in the flesh on the cross that gave us the power of deliverance made available to all the world (Jhn 3:16). but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ(1 Co 15:57).
RIGHT TO FREEDOM
Did you read that verse closely? but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ(1 Co 15:57). So who gives us the victory over the sting of death? God does! How does God give us the victory? but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ(1 Co 15:57). What does”…through our Lord…” mean? The Holy Spirit of God is given through your believing by taking part in eating the flesh and drinking the blood of Jesus Christ! That is your right to vote—your right to freedom! The old covenant of the old testament did not deliver anyone from their sin, meaning that no one can earn salvation by voting Biden or Trump! If any christian in their right mind is a true patriot of their Kingdom then they should live as an alien to this country because they’re free indeed. We don’t live as slaves to the misguided nature and condition of this world. We live as ambassadors sent from the Kingdom of God for Jesus Christ!
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.—(2Co 5:17-21)
So why not choose rather, not to vote? Or is it that we’ve placed our faith in this worldly government for the provision of our soul? Why would us Christians expect anything different from a people so desperate for their rights; to chase their sexual appetites, to decide their gender, to fight for their color, to kill for their pride, to steal for their pleasure, to lie for their lust, and to what end when the self-proclaiming “christians” are in a relationship with the devil that confuses the truth for a lie? Why expect… Is it because of what I wrote at the start of this post? Not one person of sound mind is ignorant of sin. So then that excuses the timidity of our christian military, does it? Like when king Saul was in the face of the philistine giant (1Sa 17:11)? Do we not have the same Spirit of king David (1 Sa 17:26)? Don’t tell me the church still needs to be trained on how to be a shepherd in the face of a lion when we’ve already been anointed as king to meet the face of Goliath. We are the rock in the sling, so ummm… let’s fly! Let’s go! Come on Church! What do you want from me?—no but seriously… It’s time.
Have you considered going to your local park and walking with no strings attached, just you and the air you share with others on the path? If you haven’t, you should. When you do, you won’t even realize you’ve entered the dreamlike state of your life. You might even start to give off this impression that you’re insane to fellow walkers or over achieving joggers—you know the kind—by expressing yourself to the air as though someone was listening, like a ghost perhaps. See that’s when people should know that you are having a good walk rather than assuming the worst like, “That woman is definitely plotting to kill her husband“.
Sometimes you just need the nature of fresh air to sooth your emotions and balance out your senses before waking up to the chaos of your reality. I’m telling you, you’ll feel much better after your walk!
What’s amazing about a walk is… you’re free to go any direction you choose and place you arrive—even if it’s nowhere—because believe it or not, nowhere is actually a place identified by you because well… you’re somewhere. The point is that you are someone of unique and important value that can be appreciated when on a good solid walk with the ghost of the air. There are a lot of things going on in your life and it can be stressful to manage, that’s not including the pressure of unpredictable people that add to the affect of your life.
We just don’t have all the information about what is going on all the time and that’s ok. We don’t have to have all the information all the time because otherwise the treasure of information devalues like the time you drove that new car off the lot, why not purchase a used car and learn how to take care of it. It will teach a great deal about responsibility and give experience that you can share with others who might could use your skills changing out the drum breaks.
Anyway… the point is… go for a walk and talk to the ghost of the air and then listen closely because you won’t even realize that the ghost is speaking to you until you start to listen as you process. You’re not alone.
When spending even a little time online nowadays, opens up doors to the nature of sin that so easily entices us. Everyone reading this knows what their vices are. But what does it mean when we’ve confessed Jesus as Lord with our mouths, yet sin with our hearts? Say there was a time when you were a general in the military of your country until found laying on the ground nearly dead. Imagine yourself dressed in a suit of armor. You don’t want to live, but in the process of time you find yourself on a bench in a cage, looking down at the ground. Your thinking about all that you had—land, family, and peace. You remember walking through your yellow field, the stocks of wheat grown to pass through your fingers as you passed through. But then you hear your name called and snap back into the present, that memory is your focus—all was taken from you; your land burned, family murdered, and peace… buried.
The dirt beneath your feet feels more like sand, you bend down to the ground and prepare. The dirt combined with the sweat of your hands makes for good grip. There is no fear, only confident hope. You say to yourself, “Do not die, you’ll meet them again, but not yet, not yet.” You start to hear the sound of roaring and the host welcome you to your death, fans are in the stands. The gates open to the arena of games, chained tigers foaming at the mouth to devour their prey awaiting you on the other side. After the dirt is drained from your hands you stand and advance from the cage of slavery to the hope of freedom. Sword and shield in hand, a steady heart, and a ready mind. The sound of your name begins to grow louder and louder…
“ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED!?”
Has the movie come to mind yet? (comments below). Getting right to it… in confessing with my mouth that Jesus is Lord means, I’ve heard the truth. But in the darkness of my heart resides sin that pierces my soul with guilt and shame, it only takes a glance to see my desire on the screen and a moment to feel the seed of sin in my heart take root. My soul and flesh are in immediate conflict for right of claim to the content possessing my soul, it’s amazing what the mind can do when the heart is convinced. The online world seems much like entering an arena of entertainment that might cost you your freedom. The only difference is… this arena is dark and quiet, there is only the influence of desire and silence. No person other than you and God knows what happens between you, the screen, and the sound of silence.
“Silence like a cancer grows”. Listen to The Sound Of Silence by Disturbed. Sin is the cancer that grows to kill you without mercy. But the spiritual insight is found in what Jesus Christ did to kill that cancer of sin. Now as you’ve read so far I’ve not provided bible verses in this post and don’t plan to; but as God as my witness, rest assured, the verses are with me as I write this good news out. When Jesus Christ died on the cross, He didn’t stay dead as our parents’ parents have. It was foretold that God would deliver us from our sins and He has. I’m going to tell you about salvation as though every bible in the world has been taken, burned, and buried.
As I said at the beginning of this post, everyone knows what their vices are. But the vices are nothing more than objects used to influence the sin that you are. So the vices are not the issue, you are. The problem is that we blame the vices for causing us to sin rather than recognizing the vices as the objects they are. When we blame the content from the screen, we excuse our behavior of sin and our minds become deluded. The heart becomes convinced incapable of overcoming sin and what’s worse, invites it, giving right of pass—so to speak—to relieve ourselves behind closed doors, because after all… we’re sinners. There is a verse that says to be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect—and while that might sound impossible because of the obvious condition, Jesus provided us that perfection. How?
Jesus was not of this realm when He was born into this world. He was not born by the seed of man, but the “seed” of God (the Holy Spirit). And when you hopefully recognize how you, me, we, are sin. You will then understand that sin was passed on to each and every living organism through the seed of our beginning like a cancer that seems impossible to kill because there is no cure. But there is a cure! There is a way to kill the sound of silence, that sin crouching at the door to devour your soul! The souls ability to discern the nature of sin was not knowledge that came from man. That is a very important clue to understand because when it is understood, so also is the mystery of Christ. Ask yourself, how is it possible for the human being to be convicted of the knowledge of good and evil? You might shutter in utter disagreement, but the answer is sin.
Let me be very clear. I am not saying that sin rewarded us the knowledge of good and evil. I am saying that this is the realm of the knowledge of good and evil, and we are captives to this realm as sinners unless we believe from the heart that Christ our Lord, the Son of God, Jesus of Nazareth came into the world in our likeness and image of sin to pay the penalty of sin by His death on the cross that we may live in the realm where He is RIGHT NOW. The knowledge of good and evil is the writing of the law of God on the hearts and minds of those written in the Lamb’s book of life. And how else is the law of God written in your heart and mind without the meaning of baptism, which is being submerged in water as dead yet raised up out of the water as alive in Jesus Christ! Examine yourself with a clear conscience by studying your behavior, if you know what is wrong and still do it then you need to be weighed in the balance.
Really think about this, when Jesus died on the cross His body was broken and His blood was drained for you. Let me put this another way, God in His Son was crucified on the cross because their was no other way for free thinking people to understand the function of a relationship unless Jesus did the will of His Father. God is Love. And unless you’ve died to the will of your life of sin, you will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven because you’ve made your choice to trample under foot the love of God which is Jesus Christ. See if you weigh yourself in the balance of justice, there is no amount of good you can do to attain salvation. But if you weigh Jesus Christ in the balance of Justice as your placement, you’ve accepted the salvation of God and are made perfect through faith by grace. You are forgiven, redeemed, and made alive in the Holy Spirit.
The link provided above is a quote from Nasa Science—an article about Dark Energy, Dark Matter. And what we are learning about Dark Energy and Dark Matter is… it’s dark. Alright. That’s not fair. We’ve learned a lot from what we don’t know; even though we don’t know, we can at least identify the unknown as “dark”, and that is a start. But I’m curious about something, and it stems from a few bible verses. See I believe that in order to discover the unknown one must believe it is possible, which is the very act of faith, but I’m convinced that our hearts are in a difficult place of acceptance because of unbelief.
Help My Unbelief
Did you notice at the end of that statement from the quote is we need more data, better data. Well, at least, according to Nasa Science, they know that there is data that will enlighten us with knowledge about dark energy and dark matter. That is important to believe because of Who I know that data belongs to. That sounds very arrogant, but it’s not intended to be because actually, everyone knows Who the data belongs to even though they might struggle to accept it unless they just outright reject it. There is an event that occurs in our history recorded for our study and help when struggling to believe.
The scene of this event dates back to Jesus after revealing the Kingdom of God to Peter, James, and John on this mountain. They were on their way back to the disciples when they saw this large crowd about them, some scribes were arguing with the disciples there until Jesus asked, “What are you discussing with them?”. Then there was this one guy that yelled out from the crowd, “Teacher, I brought You my son, possessed with a spirit which makes him mute; and whenever it seizes him, it slams him to the ground and he foams at the mouth, and grinds his teeth and stiffens out. I told Your disciples to cast it out, and they could not do it.”. Gaw, that’s rough. I mean, can you imagine seeing your child being tortured in this way? And maybe you have experienced something like this? But to know the doctors that had the ability to help could not is not only painful to accept, but embarrassing when the teacher of such power arrives on the scene!
Now while Jesus was disappointed and expressed it, He then asked the father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And the father said, “From childhood. It has often thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, take pity on us and help us!” So here we get some context, this is no ordinary ailment with fits of rage. This is a possession of an extraordinary kind, one that requires much discipline to cast out. We can see from this data that the son is thrown into extreme elements that should kill a person and yet this boy lives. Now it could be that the father was around to save the boy from burning or drowning to death, but there is emphasis in the detail of these extremes by the meaning of destroy. In this scenario we can see spiritual forces at work. Jesus represents the force of good (positive) energy [order] and the spirit possessing the boy represents the force of evil (negative) energy [chaos].
It appears that the father of the boy had lost confidence in Jesus when had said, “…if You can do anything“. And Jesus was like, “ ‘If You can?’ All things are possible to him who believes.” BOOM! Finally we reach the climax of this event because we so quickly resort to unbelief for fear itself, limited by our cause to exist because of not what we understand, but because of WHO we don’t understand until this next moment! Immediately the boy’s father cried out and said, “I do believe; help my unbelief.”! BOOM! If you haven’t realized it by now, God is in the language of the data given for us to believe and have a relationship with. What that means is… the dark energy and dark matter are an energy that is spoken out from the mouth of God for our present questions to be answered in respect of the relationship between God and man. Scientists! What do you think happened after the father cried out, I do believe; help my unbelief? To find out, check out a bible from your local virtual library or of course right here. God exists in the energy of existence!
A place where God is the limit. A place where you know me.
It will feel like a dream, but it is a reality.
A place where language is a garden of spirituality.
This place is untainted by the world in which you know. The world you wake up in day after day and adapt to compromise for the excuses and lies. Here you’ll discover the version of yourself suppressed in darkness for fear of the light in everyone’s eyes.
There is a sound of music that speaks not what you’d expect. It’s a song that sings every genre, there is nothing quite like it. It will play without ceasing, we do not cease to exist.
A language of complete expression, there is no void, only the reality of your personality.
What is your mood?
Are you glad or sad?
There is a reason, there is a cause, but only for a season because there is a God.
See, in this language, we are a living symphony.
The decisions we have are not choices we make, but are a rhythm to the beat of loves’ sake.
It doesn’t take hearing to experience the wave of vibrations from the sound of listening.
Are you listening?
Can you hear?
There are tears… but not fear!
God is near.
When you think of the Garden of Eden, I ask that you don’t only think of it as a place that once existed in the past. But think of it as a spiritual language that has been passed on from generation to generation for all to hear and know the language of life found in Jesus Christ.
Oh Lord, bless me with words you would find pleasing to read and that will reveal Yourself in them. It’s amazing to think about writing in a way that doesn’t just say something about me as your writer, but rather, the ‘Spirit’ giving utterance to inspire me to write with words that communicate information about what only the Spirit can know. Do we understand the personal nature of the relationship between the Spirit, Writer, and Reader? Let’s find out, yes?
As your writer, I think of a question and way for me to relate to you (my reader). This can actually compromise the relationship because it depends upon the heart trying to figure out a way of gaining insight about information without the relationship of the Spirit, therefore not providing truth that builds trust, but an agenda which outcome is to be manipulative for personal gain.
Let us bear in mind that the Spirit is not of flesh and blood, so that changes the dynamic between us three. And if we understand the meaning of a relationship then we’ll know that there is a force of nature at work for a relationship to be possible. So… This is about to get interesting because there is an authority that governs between two different wills, of which gives us the freedom to choose who we are in a relationship with and why.
There is a ‘Spirit of Truth’ and a ‘spirit of lies’, now why did I capitalize the ‘S’ and ‘T’ and not the ‘s’ and ‘l’? This is a way of me (Nathan) as your writer, claiming to have a relationship with truth while identifying, in fact, that there are two different Spirit’s. Why? Because this is how we learn who we are in a relationship with although not seeing the “Who”. As a couple quick examples:
I’m not always with my wife (Laura), but when I’m away (not physically seeing her) can still hear her presence with me; such as driving, as I go above the speed limit her telling me to, “slow down”.
You are reading this with all that defines you. but not writing it, because there is a spiritual structure in place for us to have purpose and discern the who, what, when, where, why, and how the relationship is possible between us even though we don’t see each other.
It’s 3:32am, March 11, 2020! It’s crazy to think about so many years before leading up to these moments, expecting 3:45, then tomorrow, and then the rest of our lives… until the reality of death comes without even knocking. That is what keeps me up at night; the thought of my next moment to live when it’s someone else’s next moment to die, inspiring me to wonder about the reason why. This state of thought has me changing colors because the reason is life changing, and that reason is… Love!
It’s 3:45, the truth is in our relationship with Jesus Christ, the testimony about Jesus demonstrating the love of God for all people through His crucifixion on the cross is how we understand the relationship between Spirit, Writer, and Reader. I am called to tell you about the relationship because the spirit of lies is eventually going to be taken out of the way for the truth of salvation revealed in Jesus Christ at His coming. So here comes the conflict between us sense we’ve developed a relationship since the beginning of this post.
Are you in a relationship with the Son of God, Jesus Christ, through the Spirit of Truth? Or. Are you in a relationship with the Father of Lies, The Satan, through the spirit of lies?
What information would I learn about your heart that testifies to the relationship you have in truth, or, in lying?
Disclaimer: I (Nathan) am not a psychiatrist or psychologist.
I pray this article will find you well and bless you with truth and spiritual development. I believe it is crucial for me to understand the knowledge of good and evil. I hope you will find value from sharing the experience of my inquiry.
What is knowledge?
Knowledge is information. If I take away all information but the fact that I exist, where does my knowledge come from? How do I understand anything? Take away the “search bar” and ask me what I know. Knowledge is circumstantial. I could tell you what my perception of knowledge is, but it’s the knowledge of Nathan.
How about you? Apart from the education you’ve received and environmental influence or governance. Would you be able to explain how and who you are? What does knowledge mean for you? What is the knowledge of you?
It is interesting, at least for me, when I consider that I know nothing apart from divine inspiration. It only makes sense that knowledge comes from the spirit of my being, my soul. Here is where it gets fascinating. The soul breathed into man by God was sustained by the garden of Eden which was/is a divine place of God. Something happened when Adam and Eve ate of the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The tree was divine in that when we (humankind born of Adam and Eve) ate of the fruit became like God (knowing good and evil).
Before we ate that fruit were made in the image and likeness of God but did not know what God knew. We cultivated and governed as representatives of God, but were not God; eating of that fruit made man become like God without being THE God, if that makes sense. We were given divine inspiration to the knowledge of good and evil upon eating what God warned us not to eat because we would be condemned to death.
The curse of death is the mark we bear as a testimony of the truth to our sin and punishment for evil.
There are two deaths, but I won’t get into that now. The point is that we have divine knowledge of good and evil. The Bible teaches us about this knowledge and with the Holy Spirit enlightens us to salvation from death. And that is good news!
What is good?
Only God is good! That is how God, is God, because God is good. If my God were not good, but evil also, then there is no God, but only chaos. Truth is good. There is a reason death is a consequence to my present state. This is also why my God can be trusted, because His judgement is just. How I know is by Jesus Christ. If God were evil would not go to the extent of giving His only Son as a living sacrifice for the sin of the world, provided to and for all that will come to believe in Him to be saved and ultimately rewarded depending on the race you run in salvation. Good is what pleases God, and God is love.
What is Evil?
Evil is Satan. Seeking out the vulnerable for abuse. Distorting the truth. Thinking I am the God of my life. Believing that Jesus Christ did not come in the flesh. Evil is Judas Iscariot betraying the innocent blood of Jesus Christ. For the love of money is the root of all evil. Adultery at heart. Murder at heart. Lying. The sinister element that tempts the heart to corruption. The desire to take and consume life rather than to give of it. To steal rather than serve. To not clothe the naked. To not give food to the hungry and drink to the thirsty. To not visit those in prison.
To understand the tree of the knowledge of good and evil means to discern your spirit and the spirit of those that come to you. The only thing I care to find out about a person is whether they know the truth and believe in Jesus Christ.
Do you know the truth about our condition of sin and do you believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ?
The Difference Between A Relationship And Religion
I was talking with a guy here recently about life. A military man. This guy has quite the story, a lot I can relate and not relate to, been through more than most in a short period of time being in his early thirties. It’s no wonder the reason he questions his relationship to God. He believes there is something, a higher power; but the God of the Bible and Christianity, not buying it or any other gods/god of the many facets to other religions.
Did you know that anger can be a religion?
How about a sport like soccer?
Even the military?
I resonate especially with the first two “anger” and “soccer”. But now, my religion, is my grandma. That might seem weird, but I’m telling you, only if you knew my grandma would you understand. This woman believes in visiting the orphans and widows in their †distress, that is literally her job as a caregiver at 77 (nearly 78) years old. I’ve seen my small but strong and wise grandma lift and guide an older gentlemen from his seat to the wheelchair and help people in their distress over and over again.
I’ve witnessed how this woman (my grandma) has loved a family that has rejected her time and time again. My grandma has slept outside in her cold car because she was unwelcome by family only to come back and love again and again. How… do… you… do… that? I’ve heard and seen the treatment, the abuse, she’s endured for the sake of Who she believes in and yet with humility sharing only her mistakes without blaming anyone else. She was told where to sit and what to do if she wanted to see her grand kids and guess what…she did. Writing this infuriates me, yet remembering, “Nathan, Nathan, how I was treated doesn’t matter…” are you kidding me!
My grandma is the type that might scold me for this praise but you’re reading a result of her labor in the Lord her God and I’ll scream aloud “Jesus Christ is Lord!” Because no navy seal can compare to my grandma, bring it! Just kidding, don’t hurt me. The point is religion is a religious practice of what you believe. And my grandma practiced hard with her Bible not only in hand or by word, but her actions. It’s true there are a lot of religions that provoke a lot of questions and demand certain practices, but that is the reason I labor for the preaching of the gospel to all nations.
Because religion to the gospel is defined by visiting the orphans and widows in their distress while being unstained by the world. It is not putting yourself in chains as though you can’t have fun or enjoy life. But it is respecting the true God of your soul and having a relationship with Him every moment of every day. I’m not saying you can’t have a drink of alcohol unless it’s to your destruction (abuse it—then don’t drink it). I’m not saying don’t have a cigarette or cigar, maybe even marijuana depending on where you live, but not to your destruction (addicted—then don’t smoke it).
You might be convinced you’re unable to break a bad habit, but respectfully, you’re wrong. That is like saying, “I won’t stop cheating on my wife because I’m unable, I’ll get cranky, so wheres my porn at!” We all have the ability but lack the discipline because we’re given over to not caring, “who cares”. The One Who created us cares, God didn’t create an experience (sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll) to be abused or take control of you. Have an experience in moderation and respect of wisdom and honor. Now that … is quite a thrill!
Don’t make a religion your excuse not to believe in this gospel being preached to you. We need more Christians speaking, writing, videoing the essential of the gospel of Jesus Christ; Not speaking, writing, videoing my/their personal preference, expectation, or standard of life change—the Holy Spirit of God that convicts every believer will do that work of salvation, justification, and sanctification. We are just providential agents.
It’s sad to reach a point in life when the thought of hell seems much more appealing than to remain in the skin of your flesh. When the thought of escape is your only option, but are petrified. When a call for help is not meant for saving.
I don’t hate my life. But that unreliable feeling of hate sure is poking and prodding. What I hate is being divided by the questions and doubts of people that presume to know me when they don’t have a clue; there is just not enough time in the world to be completely free with people that choose not to believe they can trust you unless you adhere to their “divine” perception for you, then they might believe. As long as you stay within their realm of interpretation and perception.
It’s incredible the amount of attention you will draw to demons when living for your faith “Jesus as Lord” by recognizing sin for what it is and how I’m in desperate need of salvation. It’s incredible the sirens and temptations in place just for you. It’s a constant crouching (Genesis 4:7):
“Those people see you as a tyrant. That woman wants you. That man desires you. Do this to get rich. Say that to make a difference. You’re a sexy beast, well endowed, who can resist. It feels good to be right. It feels good to have power. You’re a liar. You’re a fraud, poser, fake, and the list goes on because you’re unworthy. Don’t waste my time. You have our undivided attention. Look at him, he is better than you in every way. You’re smart and beautiful, but ugly and stupid too. I feel depressed. You’re unstable, unfit, unqualified. Here is your kingdom of heaven! No, there it is!”
I ask myself, “why is this happening?” But it only makes sense. Because…demons are taking the time the world does not have to get to know you and me. Whether the world or I want to believe that or not, the truth sets us free. I hate this spiritual war that divides my soul and blood into pieces as bread for demons and wine for their minions. If you are a believer in the gospel of Jesus Christ, you’ll understand this war, but if not then I hope this will prick at your conscience because you’re held captive thinking you’re free.
They are clever. The devil and his demons … but I see them. And they know that I see them. “It’s a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:31). I’m in hell learning the tips and tricks of insanity navigating my way through the crowd in hope to save some if not all, “have you heard…“.
Do you ever wonder about your beginning? Your parents’ parents, their parents, on and on? And how about your existence, living at this present time with a detailed conscience that defines who you are and whats more; a consciousness about yourself, others, and God? What about your end, when you die? Do you wonder about that? Or how about the future, the end of your children and their grandchildren? Are you wondering, will you wonder…?
Moses of the Bible was a man who wondered. He wondered at the sight of a burning bush (Exodus 3) that would not be consumed. This bush changed Moses’ life! I can hear you christian critics now “it wasn’t the bush…” neh neh neh
Disclaimer: I (Nathan Dooley) am not an ordained minister…yet. It could happen one day. Just saying.
And I would agree with you…definitely not the “bush” that changed his life; it was the appropriate tangible object to use for the presence of God and His awareness to a specific problem which Moses’ gets insight, clarification, prophecy, and power to be a solution. He became the man [vessel, or instrument of God] to deliver his fellow Hebrew people, the people of God, Israel, from Egyptian slavery to a promised land of milk and honey. He brought forth what we are now dissecting in the 21st century (Exodus 34:27)—the first five books (Genesis—Deuteronomy) of the Pentateuch (Greek) or Torah (Hebrew) Bible. The scripture in the photo above gives me a bit of insight into what Moses discovered from God, the beginning before the beginning of man (Genesis 2:4-6). If you have not realized by now, this is not your typical “”the “bridge” illustration”” you’d find through research as shown below:
Which is some awesome content worth looking into! But I want to go further and deeper because this bridge stretches “As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:12)…
…, from past to future, beginning…to end.
To get back where I’d left off. I think it’s important to note that Moses had a very important entrepreneurial trait, he was a risk taker. When realizing that the bush was not consumed by the fire could’ve reacted like “AWE HAIL NAW, NOPE, NOT HAPPEN-IN!” and ran away. But he didn’t do that; it was more like, “let me check this here awesome burning but not burnt bush out, mmm-kay.”. Funny aside, actually, and quite literally according to the NASB of Exodus 3:3—”I must turn aside now and see this marvelous sight, why the bush is not burned up.”
WHAT IS A RISK YOU’VE TAKEN OR WOULD TAKE THAT HAS OR WOULD CHANGE YOUR LIFE? WRITE IT IN THE COMMENTS BELOW.
Take a risk with me now. For those of you who do not believe or are otherwise on the fence about believing in God, this is your burning bush moment. Your name is being called. Go meet God. Matter of fact, envision this:
You type “Go meet God” in your google maps (which could also be your nearest “Barnes & Noble” or “Half Price Books” that have Bibles available) and then hear my navigating voice upon your arrival at a Bible location, “you have arrived at your burning bush”. Get it, instead of “destinat…
Alright never-mind, that was weird, scratch that:
You type “Go meet God” in your google maps (which could also be your nearest “Barnes & Noble” or “Half Price Books” that have Bible’s available) and then hear my navigating voice upon your arrival at a Bible location, “you have arrived at your burning bush”. Get it, instead of “destinat…moving on.
But seriously. Take the risk to go meet God. Check out this link for the BibleGateway, or install the YouVersion bible app on your phone, find your nearest library or book store; it’s all at your finger tips, but read the Bible to hear the Word of God and listen with all that you are and everything you’ve got (heart, mind, soul, and strength). Why take the risk? You might ask. Because death pricks at the conscience of the living. Our life is an experience that feels on fire, yet not consumed. I believe that death bears testimony of a wrong doing in history where we as a created being of God missed the mark and are due justice. I also believe that God was completely prepared for such an event and that is where we’ll find Christ, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Let this introduction of the bridge illustration peak your interest to discover your faith and take the risk to believe in the God of the Bible, the gospel of Jesus Christ. Because without faith to believe, you will not understand what is to come. Thank you for reading the >introduction<! Now go meet God and I’ll hope your back for <part 1>!
Join me on Mt. Sinai with God and Moses to discover the beginning of our beginning. This is a very exhausting study but well worth the time and effort. In my Bible I learn that Moses is the author of the first five books also known as the Pentateuch. These books were more than likely written during the 40-year period of Israel’s wanderings in the desert: 1446—1406 BC
Note: the “BC” given after the calendar year (1446—1406 BC) means “Before Christ” but if you see “BCE” (nowadays), don’t be alarmed, it just means “Before Common Era“. (According to my research). The reasons surround appeasing those not Christian and an arguably inaccurate calculation of Jesus’ birth. It’s believed that Jesus Christ was born around 6—4 BC, which is why these labels (BCE/CE) “CE” for “Common Era” are being used today by many publications rather than (BC/AD) “AD” meaning “the year of the Lord” as it references a Latin phrase: annodomini (“the year of the Lord”—after Jesus was born.)
So why Moses? “God… Why Moses?”—A prayer guiding me through a lot of scripture to uncover the context of that time. Moses was beautiful in the sight of his mother and lovely in the sight of God. God heard the outcry of the sons of Israel at the time of their oppression in Egypt and remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. It’s time to organize the sons of Israel as God’s covenant people and Moses is the man God will be with to do it. It all points to Jesus Christ.
“Whoa!”. “What is this, I feel!?”. “I didn’t like you, but now… It’s real!”. “What is this… Chemistry? ‘It’s foreign.'”. “Where did it come from?”. “I see you, you see me.”. “Our mouths are not moving, but the truth ‘speaks’.”. “I’m convicted, ‘flee!’.”. “But the passion of my heart burns to see!”. “Who says ‘no’ to this ecstasy?”. “So where is my ‘angle’?”. “When is the time and how will I know?”. “This ‘taste’, to be liked.”. “I’m sought to be known!”. “The venom is piercing from vein to bone!”. “I’m losing control!”. “Help me, God!”. “There’s nowhere to go!”.
Adolescence, doesn’t seem to fit the profile of it’ definition. There is a period between puberty into maturity, but at what age is the point of maturity? Although I didn’t reach puberty until a junior in high school. I was educated by design that procreation was pleasure. I was not educated about the spiritual meaning. Marriage is a covenant. The pleasures of this life are fleeting. So I occupied myself with mischievous thoughts and fantasies of malpractice. I think our adolescent profiles need to change, or rather, become educated about the spiritual aspect to our adolescence. Reader, I’ll need your help if you agree. If we had been educated about the spiritual aspect of our changing nature and desire during youth could have prevented a series of mistakes that effect everything. But without you, Reader. Can a spec of dust effect the vast universe of particles? After all, that is all of what I am. A spec of dust; vapor in the wind (if you will), amidst the cosmic order of creation. So the purpose to influence a person or society with change is next to hitting the lottery, in comparison. What is the protocol for telling people about their salvation by way of Jesus Christ sending the Holy Spirit into their life? The “instruction manual” (Bible) for this procedure is very difficult to understand without someone to teach me the truth about my nature and desires. I’ll need help.
Have you ever been unexpectedly forgiven, loved and cherished after confessing certain truths about mistakes that were made? Knowing already, that the answer to your own question is “undeserving of forgiveness and justifiably deemed unworthy of deliverance from whatever the consequence”? I have been unexpectedly forgiven. Reader, my prayer is that you’ll know for yourself, “…have mercy on me, a sinner.”. My saint of a grandmother forgave me from what I deserved. Why? I didn’t deserve a place in her life. She had every right to send me on my way. But, she gave me life. It has been difficult for me to make sense of this. I’d taken advantage of her gift to care; shelter over my head, clothes on my back, food in my belly, and water to quench the flame. I “snuck” a lesbian[?] stripper into her home. And that is but one scenario among others to my shame. In the processes of my weaknesses; God granted me mercy, forgiveness, and is still healing me to His glory. I pray this post finds you in your struggle as not only telling you “I can relate”, but that Jesus related beyond relation to the extent of dying… experiencing this place of death although innocent. Sin is not worth the troubled whispers of lies that only prove a fearful expectation. There is an expected award for obedience which also means an expected consequence for disobedience. No different than our prisons in this life, am confident of a prison in the next. The church is the devils playground; salvation is the game, and vulnerability, his poise. I see more and more teachers, leaders, and preachers pressed to the limit of their heart’ desires and pride as “untouched by sin because of grace”. My spirit aches and mourns because of unconfessed sins. People that fear their own reputation instead of God.
Will the King of a palace say to his trusted counsel, -“Help! My ‘eye’ is on a woman that is not the Queen”-. And will the counsel dare reply the King, -“We will pluck that woman out, my King! It is a sin against God; turn from it, and be healed.”-. Now with the Spirit of God, the Secretary perceived the King’s desire and said to herself, -“God, how should I move, or should I? The King’s eye is upon me. What of my husband? ‘Would he listen or be willing to understand?’. And… what of our family?”-. This Secretary is the “breadwinner” of her family and the husband a stay at home dad. This King is good looking and could position this Secretary as Queen. The Queen says, -“God, my God, thank you for leaving Your palace for the sake of my salvation. Please teach me how You are to be honored in my marriage and position to this throne. Give my Husband the wisdom to lead as You have served.”. The palace of this kingdom has been compromised by lust but each character has a decision to be made. Every character is at risk of having to sacrifice something; reputation (eye), life, wealth, and love.
Reader, you are reading this post for a reason. I’m thankful for the relationship we can have even in this connection of “words on screen”. I’ve underestimated the power of escape that God provides through knowing His Son by way of the Holy Spirit. There is always an escape from the desire of sinful practice luring beneath the surface of our skin. There is a consequential experience (awakening) to a reality that was left covered for a reason. The mystery to life beyond the grave is real. My conscience has been torn and ripped apart too many times to sit around for a “well spoken of” reputation that remains enslaved to evil devices common to man. There is an escape! Because my God says so!
Hi, my name is Nathan. … “Since birth my life has been a winding river changing direction with no end in sight or ‘right’ turn to make. That-about-sums-it-up. Until next time. Peace be with you.”—
It’s funny, I’ve felt that as being heavily the case for this blog site and especially my life here recently. Thinking to myself, “How can a confused person write blogs about direction without direction?”. If you’re laughing? I’m “chuckling” with you in embarrassment, “brushing off the dust of my pride”. I’ve changed course to a new direction or rather, “the direction of my river has changed course by no power of mine“. If you’ve “stumbled” across this site as result of this post for the first time, it’s nice to meet you. Don’t run off. Consider exploring through the “menu”. If you’re familiar with this site, please consider revisiting the “menu items” and prepare to be inspired by the changes only a real God influences! We are seriously loved!
Reader, I have questions coming from way up high, “Left, no.. Right field! Right field”! What river path of life are you on? (You will get a glimpse of my path by investigating this site as an example but hope will discover my heart as true in the process?). Do you know the spiritual direction of your life? (I know that my spiritual direction has brought me to “here and now” writing to you.). Why has our courses clashed? (That is a theory that only one person in the world has proved.).
Are you willing to join me on a journey? Please, invite your family and bring your friends to explore your answers to these questions. Our journey will renew the mind and take us out of this world!
9 Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast your integrity? Curse God and die!”10 But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God and not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips. (Job 2)
I understand Job to be an illustration of our present day global suffering to the individual adversities each of us share. Just as Job had experienced the loss of nearly everything, it wasn’t finished. Evil has a strategic agenda to confuse the truth with lies, and thereby, challenges our devotion to what is good and righteous. As long as our hearts receives the approval of those we care so deeply for rather than receiving from the only One Who matters, we’re lost and without understanding; in danger of fearing the wrath of God at the coming of His Son.
Although the wife of Job insists to “Curse God and die!“. Job is not manipulated by the love he has for his wife; because God supplied and took away what was necessary for this process of understanding the truth of God. Someone tell me.
How did Job come to life? – Was it not through suffering?
11 Now when Job’s three friends heard of all this adversity that had come upon him, they came each one from his own place, Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite; and they made an appointment together to come to sympathize with him and comfort him.12 When they lifted up their eyes at a distance and did not recognize him, they raised their voices and wept. And each of them tore his robe and they threw dust over their heads toward the sky.13 Then they sat down on the ground with him for seven days and seven nights with no one speaking a word to him, for they saw that his pain was very great. (Job 2)
We will not find truth in succumbing to the flattery of friends, nor by believing the accusations against us by self-righteous friends. However, as Job goes through the turmoil of Satan discovers the character of God and His immense power. Don’t give up where you are and don’t make the mistake of being someone else’s “god” for the sake of easing their pain. Live by the understanding that the grace given by God abounds the sins of your life. Confess and contend with God, but understand this truth, Job repented in dust and ashes when God showed up! Do you, or we, think, that our place is not the same as Job’s. Or are you so arrogant as a son or daughter of Satan, to challenge the character of another based on what God has provided for them, and not you? I pray this is not confused with partiality or being favored by what is given materially, for we all equally have the opportunity at receiving the gift of God. What have you chosen over that gift?
6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them.7 The Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?” Then Satan answered the Lord and said, “From roaming about on the earth and walking around on it.”8 The Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, fearing God and turning away from evil.” (Job 1)
Reader (listener), indulge me, you are the character of Job. I, the writer, will entertain the character of Satan [….scary thought].
9 Then Satan answered the Lord, “Does Job fear God for nothing?10 Have You not made a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.11 But put forth Your hand now and touch all that he has; he will surely curse You to Your face.”12 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power, only do not put forth your hand on him.” So Satan departed from the presence of the Lord. (Job 1)
Take notice how “Satan” and “Jesus” refer to “God”. What does it mean to fear God?
•”Job, I see your potential and how the fruit of your integrity will produce a bountiful return. Once dead; people will learn of this character you seem to possess, they will discover how God is good; the seed of your fruit will effect the world, but soon will become confused.”
20 Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head, and he fell to the ground and worshiped.21 He said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked I shall return there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.” 22 Through all this Job did not sin nor did he blame God. (Job 1)
•”Interesting, surely you must be experiencing the weight of a heavy depression. At this point I’ve distorted the view of right and wrong; knowledge of good and evil is my heaven; yet you think, or seem to have thought to own the right of understanding what is impossible for man to understand. After all, you were sacrificing for your kids, why, thinking what? That they would have favor with God and not die in their sins? What of you, Job? Do you think you’ll find favor with God by maintaining your integrity? Now to get you vulnerable; vulnerable enough, to set you up, for my success. I’ll need access to your soul. It’s time to present myself again, before Jesus.”
Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them to present himself before the Lord.2 The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” Then Satan answered the Lord and said, “From roaming about on the earth and walking around on it.”3 The Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man fearing God and turning away from evil. And he still holds fast his integrity, although you incited Me against him to ruin him without cause.”4 Satan answered the Lord and said, “Skin for skin! Yes, all that a man has he will give for his life.5 However, put forth Your hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh; he will curse You to Your face.”6 So the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, he is in your power, only spare his life.” (Job 2)
•”Ah Job, you may believe your skin God has rapped you in, preserves your life for salvation, but the sting of death is sin, and the sin of your beginning is mine. I so look forward to devouring you; to manipulate your emotions, confuse your psyche, and inflict what you fear. The salvation of preservation is my advantage to use as a means to set the world up at my right hand in the place called, Hell. Don’t worry, Job. ‘You’re so important to me’.”
Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind and said, 2 “Who is this that darkens counsel By words without knowledge? 3 “Now gird up your loins like a man, And I will ask you, and you instruct Me! (Job 38)
A true character of integrity is accomplished by humility. Do you experience grasping at questions of meaning for your life, and or, life after death? What does your past compare to Job’s? And what does your current status or bodily condition compare to Job’s? Have you reached a place of seeking the presence of the Almighty to explain reasons of things too wonderful for us to understand? It may be because you’re being interviewed by God for either a promotion or demotion.
Then the Lord said to Job, 2 “Will the faultfinder contend with the Almighty? Let him who reproves God answer it.” 3 Then Job answered the Lord and said, 4 “Behold, I am insignificant; what can I reply to You? I lay my hand on my mouth. 5 “Once I have spoken, and I will not answer; Even twice, and I will add nothing more.” (Job 40)
What is the root cause for your reason to object God on His terms for hire? What if God sees you perfect and upright, still choosing to turn away from evil despite the mark of sin in your life? And, so, what if God permits Satan the test of sudden destruction on your livelihood, family, and health so that your spirit may be proved belonging to Him all along, saved, bearing the mark of salvation that was always present with you for eternity with Him. Please, don’t bother sending God your resume. He will come visit you where you are and examine for Himself the qualifications you have, to freely live, as God set in motion for you to receive. Let us see how you will contend against God, to reprove God.
We need to remember the One, Who blessed us with what we have. Don’t lose sight of God by the distraction of whatever kind of pain we’re presently experiencing. He has provided the way for a promotion. Stay tuned.
9 Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor.10 For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up.11 Furthermore, if two lie down together they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone?12 And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
It’s attractive … Isn’t it. To live like gods; being judge and juror of our very own live story; determining right from wrong and implementing those standards as laws to be enforced, or the ultimatum. Written off as insignificant like a stand alone tree waiting to die for the sake of being finished…..”what is the point?”. Swearing an oath to an unknown God to “tell the truth, nothing but the truth, so help me”. Complying with societies evolvement for the sake of harmony while it institutes the influence of a One World America, only, with multiple labels. Can you feel the desire to establish dominance? Intimidate by way of provoking to “fear” the one…that falls, alone. Evil says, “Now, I have control; their emotions are at my disposal, worship me!”. Again, Evil speaks, “The coin is my tact and their emotion…my desire.”. And once more, Evil utters, “How shall I groom this Wife of God’s Son for my pleasure, this, ‘mother of all living’ who stands alone?“.
God is the Canyon that provides shelter and a balanced environment for the Caddo Maple tree that signifies our creation is not alone; looking at our photo from Ben. As soon as we think ourselves to be something when we are nothing, we become vulnerable to the deception of not needing our shelter. When we are unlearned; undereducated about the way our emotional make-up is; leaves us without the shelter of God to protect our environment and for evil to achieve its’ purpose. Just as our countries are vulnerable to the seduction of sexy whispers to commit acts of violence…so too are we susceptible to the belief of correcting it, alone.
“1 Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted.2 Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.3 For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.4 But each one must examine his own work, and then he will have reason for boasting in regard to himself alone, and not in regard to another.5 For each one will bear his own load. 6 The one who is taught the word is to share all good things with the one who teaches him.7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.9 Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.10 So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.”– Galatians 6:1-10
I pray we do not mistake knowing where our predator is and how to antidote the course of an evil nature, into good. As parents we either fail to appropriately educate our youth about their sexuality as they experience unfamiliar chemical processes within their bodies to practice self-control or shy away from it because our youth becomes blushed at finding out that we know, “what is going on”! This grievous failure as self-controlled mature adults carries over into prostitution, molestation, rape, murder, bestiality, lying, lawlessness, incarceration, suicide! WHERE IS OUR CARE?!! There are barriers, boundaries, and “SHELTER” for a reason! We need to educate and protect our youth! Also, on that same line of education and protection we need to immerse the love of God on the person or people that appears to be predators. But our predator does not come in the form of flesh and blood, but will use our flesh and blood to destroy and devour the lives around us to achieve its desire. We must master that! Let’s live in the balance of the God of our salvation in Jesus Christ!
A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, But a just weight is His delight. 2 When pride comes, then comes dishonor, But with the humble is wisdom. Proverbs 11:1-2
