Spiritual Insight | #2

At the tick tock of 2:40 in the morning listening to the sound of rain gracefully hit our house and the deep steady breathing laying next to me… It’s peaceful. I reach over to get my phone to read some scripture from the famous YouVersion Bible app, but “where should I read?”, I wonder, and meditate as the options of New or Old are presented before me; I choose Old and land in Leviticus at first, but it seemed off of how I needed to be fed spiritually until I found myself in Deuteronomy 4 to get my nutrition, but why? Why here?

Spiritual Insight | #1

I mean… Alright, this will somehow be an hysterical rhetoric considering this to be the first of many posts written to myself, but publishing for, well, you to read, and, whatever.

How is it I fathom spirit as a biological being to gain insight about that which is not fathomable…or is it? I can make sense of how I exist by scientific data in relation to my philosophical system, but to make sense of how I can make sense of that is…well…you tell me. If it wasn’t for the help of technology to access real time knowledge and data, well, I’d probably be thinking something like, what the hell is going on right now? At a loss to reason this idea that is seemingly wasting my time because I’m being fed information beyond my capacity to experience, so—what the hell is going on right now?

So in the periodic table you’ll find the elements that describe the make-up of the human body, but what you will not find is the element of faith. Why? Well, ironically, faith consists of the elements that make up the human body’s ability to experience it’s existence… meaning that the elements that make up the human body actually describe the element of faith. How? Well… let’s look at that.

The human body has the ability to experience logical reasoning (such as argument = deductive | inductive | abductive) and intellectual emotions (use of emotional information to guide thinking and behavior, and manage and/or adjust emotions to adapt to environments or achieve one’s goal(s)) credit to God… But also research (Google and Wikipedia).

The data communicates an invisible Creator to all creation, but not proven by elemental evidence unless there is evidence for the element of faith. And… I’ll make the argument that there is using one verse in the Bible, Hebrews 11:1—

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

The fact that you’re reading this presently confirms the substance of assurance because of the relationship between you and what you’re interested in by responding to the evidence of this post.

Now the question becomes directed at the mystery of your interest, what is it you hoped for…or…what do you expect out of this post? The answer will reveal the condition of your heart as you come to realize that someone is capable of hearing the motive of every beat and seeing the intention by it’s sound; there is a tune to the beat of your heart, but who is the someone to interpret such a song?

You may be reading this because you know me by our relationship and are giving me credit to the work of my passion although not really caring about the message itself or… You may not know me and don’t care, but are curious about the information by the title or… The list could go on.

The evidence for this faith element is the response to your conviction. Why do you have the ability to discern right from wrong and good from evil? What is the point of these qualities? If you gave me permission to look into the entirety of your life span, would I find anything wrong or evil if judged by the law of the ten commandments?

Exodus 20:3-17

  • You shall have no other gods before [or besides] Me.
  • You shall not make for yourself [a graven image] an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth. You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing lovingkindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
  • You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not [hold him guiltless] leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain.
  • Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath of the Lord your God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or your female servant or your cattle or your sojourner who [is in your gates] stays with you. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and made it holy.
  • Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the Lord your God gives you.
  • You shall not murder.
  • You shall not commit adultery.
  • You shall not steal.
  • You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
  • You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife or his male servant or his female servant or his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor.

How would you be judged if any part of your life was found in violation of these laws, guilty or not guilty?

If you’re asking me that same question, it would be, shamefully, ‘guilty’. But is it my body that is guilty, or my spirit? Because my body, ultimately, is just a machine, an engine-if you will-but my spirit is the substance that gives my body a personality… So what exactly is innocence if my body is made up of material that is convicted to death, which is the condemnation resulting my conviction (evidence of death) that describes the condition (shame and guilt) of my spirit?

I would conclude that my body is innocent while my spirit is guilty, but why since I had no part of the decision process to be guilty and die… Could it be that I was indoctrinated by my environment of Christianity?

That would be a logical conclusion, but insufficient because of my ability to understand the meaning of indoctrination and capacity to ignore that as my influence for choosing to believe the components that make up my faith separate my environment—matter of fact, my environment would’ve actually indoctrinated me in atheism because of the injustice to my experience of abuse and previous pleasures to personal sins.

Energy is convertible… And I possessed a dark worldly death type of energy (sin) before my conversion experience. There is truth data emitted into our existence by God for our freewill calibrated beings to accept and respond to, and when we do, there is an extraordinary experience that occurs to a person in dire need of salvation. That experience is what I call a ‘providential experience’ because the meaning of this experience is divine in nature and is not explained by human logic, only inspired by the spiritual logic and emotion of God through the Word of God (Revelation 19:13).

That is the reason Christianity should not be defined as the Christian religion… Because it’s not a religion, the experience is defined by the covenant relationship established between a person of belief and faith in Jesus Christ (the Son of God) and God the Father in Heaven which saves the [now innocent] soul (through sanctification of the Holy Spirit) from death and hell by the gift of grace and mercy equating to forgiveness equipped with confidence to live a life of righteousness through faith in the love of God—

Love is the most powerful element to the equation of faith and hope. (1 Corinthians 13:13)

Because… God is love (1 John 4:8) and exposes the reality of our sin nature which separates us from God presently, but thankfully He sent His only Son to die the death that condemns us to hell and defeated our enemy of death for us to have life eternal with God again when it’s time!

Come Lord Jesus, come. Amen.

Encouragement to believers labelled by “Labellers”

As I travel through the land of the internet in the work of an Evangelist… I’ve come across some very disturbing insights. There are certain believers within group discussions on Facebook regarding soteriology (“doctrine of salvation”) such as Calvinism and Arminianism which quickly become destructive in nature because of a spiritual condition known as “ego”.

Now… I’m picking on “Calvi’s” and “Armini’s” for the sake of exposing the spiritual issue (ego), if you’re reading this and happen to identify with either of these please know that I’m not telling you ‘it’s wrong to identify as a calvinist or arminianist’. I believe there to be a spiritual discourse between predestination and freewill out of genuine concern for correct teaching on the doctrine of God—based on my observations.

However, it’s come to my attention by associating myself in these two groups—

  • Soteriology 101 Discussion

  • Soteriology 201

—That there is also a “label calling” issue. I’m guilty of this as well, but am learning more and more the sin that is involved. An example would be something like this …

Nathan: Richard, that view of scripture classifies you under  __________ and that is where you’re in error, because  __________ is false doctrine and if you continue in that view you’re continuing in unrepentant sin.

Richard: Nathan, that’s unfair for you to “classify” or label me as __________ when I didn’t claim such and such _________. Just because you hold to  __________ and _________ view does not mean that view is superior to my understanding which according to you is a continuation of “unrepentant sin”… (meaning….not truly saved?).

And let the arguing begin. This arguing did not occur because of the creation of the group, it’s an issue of the heart… a condition of sin that needs looking into because it’s a cancer that influences the mind, “ego”. We need to stop doing this, there is a wise and constructive way to handle our language to edify the Body of Christ (individual members of the same faith in Jesus).

I pray this message finds you well and with peace. If you happen to be a part of the two group discussions listed above (on Facebook), please don’t leave the group… on the contrary, join the group and love on people with the example of Jesus Christ. And if you’re just learning about these groups, I encourage you to join in on the discussions.

If the environment to the discussion groups you’re part of is too toxic, then I encourage you to join this group Soteriology | Salvational Engineering! And if you’re young or old in the christian faith, even of a different faith, or don’t have a faith , you’re invited to that group! Let’s discuss and debate our belief systems in a healthy constructive manner.

In love,

Nathan Dooley

Freewill is an interesting aspect of our reality and topic controversial. Why do we have a ‘will’ that’s “free” if grounded by gravity? I experience limitation and vulnerability. I’m taught and educated by a system that seems built on captivity, not freedom, but by the spiritual illness of greed and selfishness. Freedom…is perverted.

Speaking from experience. I lived a life where my will to be free was perverted. I idolized people and myself, and God. I’ve heard a true message or teaching from a false prophet or preacher. How can that be? The human heart is desperately wicked because of what it desires, it desires the will to be God. And so the human race works hard for this goal because of a teaching that dates back to the beginning of unrighteousness (Ezekiel 28:15).

When reality is so noisy it’s very easy to hear what gives you attention and fall prey to an evil deception. Preachers are as human as the humans receiving what is preached, but don’t be mistaken, false teachers will not go unpunished.

“Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we will incur a stricter judgment.” James 3:1

If you come to recognize that you are in a bad spiritual environment, know there is hope, keep your faith. Truth is in the power of the Holy Spirit if you believe in Jesus Christ to understand salvation and the kingdom of God.

Atheist Christian Entrapment

Atheist Christian Entrapment

B2B37315-FB6F-414B-A82A-1C7C5DF3B186

So an Atheist and Christian walk into an elevator. The Atheist hits “6” while the Christian does not hit a number to indicate which floor. While the elevator is in transit the lights flicker, screen displays a red “” dot where there should be a “#” number to indicate the passing floor’s, but the elevator continues to move to unknown floors eventually reaching a stopping point, possibly between floors. The Christian obnoxiously says to the Atheist, “Don’t worry, there’s a God!” And hits the “help” button to alert the elevator company of the entrapment while the Atheist rudely “rolls their eyes” and hits the “Alarm” button a few times to hopefully alert someone from outside the entrapment. But no button appears to be working for anyone to know about the entrapment, so the Atheist and Christian hug until they both die…

See that’s what happens when you construct and form a “bias” that projects on another person unfairly, you get a joke of an ending.

It is no simple or ordinary “task” when removing a background of experiential information including but not limited to (geographical location, education, influence, etc.) what you’re born into, for understanding someone else’s information. But in doing so will provide and establish equal ground for understanding a different perspective. You can read in the “elevator” scenario above two separate claims by the label’s “Atheist” and “Christian” to culminate war by a misunderstanding built on personal experience through (background, geographical location, education, influence, etc.).

The true and pure reason a person of belief aims at convincing a person of unbelief is because of a mysterious perspective to enlightenment that only comes by understanding the condition of the human heart. Acknowledging our present condition of illness means to yearn for and seek out the remedy. Here is where it gets interesting by conflict and clashing occurs between a difference in perspective’s; a true believer will understand illness represents a spiritual condition of the heart that only the Spiritual Creator or Life Giver (God), can remedy; Whereas the unbeliever reasons by logic and determines the remedy hopeless to eventually decide there is no remedy worth believing in, because there’s no evidence for one.

Both of the above perspectives are true, but one is superior in nature not because of the person, but divinity—believing and trusting in the “remedial cure” for a spiritual condition. Again, not the believer, the true believer acknowledges the same condition of illness as everyone else in the world. But by choosing to believe in the Spiritual Creator for yourself, “exercises faith”, that provides the remedy. The person that truly believes, is transmitting by the inspiration of the one who has the remedy, the Holy Spirit of God. The true believer’s wifi password is ____________?

If you learn about the “anointed cherub who covers” in the book of Ezekiel found in the Bible and understand the meaning, you’ll discover how freewill works (knowledge of good and evil) and trust that God is good (John 17). Because by choosing to be unreasonable and not understand this meaning, is willfully choosing to be given a spirit of ignorance that is consequential to eternal judgement. Don’t let “unrighteousness be found in you” (Ezekiel 28:15).

Trust that God is good through the Holy Spirit link in the wifi password “Jesus Christ”.

P.S. choose an eternal perspective over your carnal reality (the elevator landed on the “7th” floor)

Spiritual Engineering

When I worked as an engineer was required to understand machinery and their systems of programming to maintain operation. It is very important to do routine maintenance and have an ability to discern your environment of operation to prevent malfunction of your machinery. It is a very personal experience, possibly, even…relationship, an engineer has with his “duty of service” to provide the right measure of care for harmony.

Salvation Engineering

The spirit of a person is infinitely more complex than a piece of machinery. But if you don’t know me, that there, is my passion, my gift, you might say. People are predictable, as predictable as a storm approaching from the west, it’s only a matter of time before you see the lightening, hear the thunder, smell the rain, and taste the water. It’s not hard to discern the spirit of a person as you experience them, but it is very hard to fix the spirit of a broken person—especially one that doesn’t want to be fixed.

There is a wide range of feelings, intellect, perception, expectation, and truth to navigate through when seeking out your care for a person to make sense of the business and relationship. There are an innumerable amount of questions to sift through:

* “Who exactly am I dealing with?”

* “What advantage do I have by our relationship?”

* “When do we make the deal?”

* “Where is this relationship going?”

* “Why do I care to deal with this person?”

* “How do I respect this relationship?”

Are but a few. And noticed those indirect questions within the network of people. And I wonder, are they happy or have true joy? It’s funny, I also wonder, if you saw a picture of me and imagined what kind of conversation we might have, what do you think it would be about, who do you think would start the conversation, and why? The close-to-near immediate place I go to is the heart because of what intent I have for knowing you. While you or I may start the conversation with “Hi, my name is…” or “Hi! How are you?” The real stuff we are both processing through is much deeper than that because of information that defines our characters and chemistry.

Spiritual Engineering

You and I are but two particles of energy that clash to make sense of this mysterious reality of constant symphony that makes up two different perspectives into one view (I see you). Keep in mind that energy is invisible until it’s given light. The intent I have for knowing you is to discover your light, because, it’s there, the question is whether you’re willing to reveal it?

The world in which we live is a very deceptive and untrustworthy place. You just don’t really know who you can trust when the closest people you thought you could trust betrays you. I wouldn’t be writing this if I didn’t have some personal experience and couldn’t somehow relate to the dark energy of this world masquerading itself as light. But when equipped with a spirit of truth, can discern the spirit of deception, and pray for salvation.

There is a group that has been recently created on facebook to exercise trust for your spirit. The group is called “Salvational Engineering”. It is a place where questions can be asked to a community of people that are also asking questions and learning about their spirits themselves in this dark and seemingly uncertain world. Come check it out. Here is a link.

When I First Read The Gospel | 2

You know, thinking back on it, I think I was baptized 4 times. But the point is I’d gone through the appropriate steps to be certified “Christian”. I remember making enough sense of the gospel to wonder “what’s the point of my education” if this life is meant to end for another to begin; it was more important for me to understand life after death than high school, but the reality of this life hits pretty hard when gravity throws a hook to the face a few times.

Next thing I know I’m well on my way in life with a good job working to get a “B” license at a waste water treatment plant in Wichita Fall Tx hoping to have a family of my own. I was ready baby, lets do it! At least, that was the appearance. The truth was, I wasn’t well on my way, issues within my personal life dealing with family consumed me. I was really ready for two things, death and taxes, okay not taxes, but was definitely ready to bounce up out of this life because no miracle of salvation happens for me. I didn’t experience the gift of power that would liberate me from sin and transform my life. I just got confused by what was expected of me by people who weren’t even practicing what they preached!

One thing did not change…my curiosity about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Somehow I knew it wasn’t this book’s fault for all the bad that’s happened, so one day in my early 20ies living in a duplex apartment with my step-brother, read through the gospels for myself and won’t forget the “ahhhh” moments as I read. But here is the thing, I’d already gone through what technically makes me “Christian”. Why was I now experiencing these “ahhhh” moments?

Oh just wait, this gets good!

These “ahhhh” moments reflected my heart ready to receive revelations for life change like seeds planted in fertile soil ready to germinate. But guess what, the testing of my faith began and it was ugly. There was opportunity after opportunity to experience so many different kinds of pleasures in the name of christianity because I didn’t understand the birth of my faith. It’s like, like a baby not understanding why he or she is screaming until milk shuts em the hell up [don’t tell me you hadn’t thought it you sinner] (humor recalibrated). But I didn’t have anyone to give me milk, so due to misunderstanding am ready to exit this life time and time again. Malnourished faith left me vulnerable to sin and desire for exiting life questioning my salvation.

While the testing of my faith is not over and am eating meat with my milk now, have the environment needed to grow and understand my service in this life. My service is you. You need to understand your salvation in Jesus Christ because if you don’t believe in God’s plan for salvation, you’ll find yourself ashamed that you didn’t listen nor seek after your own salvation given in believing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Do you believe in a life guards ability to save a person drowning? Do you have respect for life guards on duty prepared to save everyone willing to be saved? Then have respect for God by giving Him your full attention in reading the gospel of Jesus Christ  because He has saved you already if you’ll believe with faith.

When I First Read The Gospel | 1

I’d grown up in church and heard the gospel. I would say that a fearful understanding of hell occurred around the age of 8 and desired salvation every night asking Jesus into my heart just to make sure I was accounted for, because the sensation of burning alive felt real as the enlightenment of truth met my soul.

But was I saved?

I’ve been baptized 3 times just to make sure the appropriate steps were made for receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit. I was baptized by two pastors one being my stepdad; to publicize my proclamation of faith, and last exclusively by my wife in the bathtub; turned out she was just trying to kill me, talk about literal death to resurrection (totally kidding).

But do I have the gift?

Knowledge of Good and Evil

Knowledge of Good and Evil

I pray this article will find you well and bless you with truth and spiritual development. I believe it is crucial for me to understand the knowledge of good and evil. I hope you will find value from sharing the experience of my inquiry.

What is knowledge?

Knowledge is information. If I take away all information but the fact that I exist, where does my knowledge come from? How do I understand anything? Take away the “search bar” and ask me what I know. Knowledge is circumstantial. I could tell you what my perception of knowledge is, but it’s the knowledge of Nathan.

How about you? Apart from the education you’ve received and environmental influence or governance. Would you be able to explain how and who you are? What does knowledge mean for you? What is the knowledge of you?

It is interesting, at least for me, when I consider that I know nothing apart from divine inspiration. It only makes sense that knowledge comes from the spirit of my being, my soul. Here is where it gets fascinating. The soul breathed into man by God was sustained by the garden of Eden which was/is a divine place of God. Something happened when Adam and Eve ate of the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The tree was divine in that when we (humankind born of Adam and Eve) ate of the fruit became like God (knowing good and evil).

Before we ate that fruit were made in the image and likeness of God but did not know what God knew. We cultivated and governed as representatives of God, but were not God; eating of that fruit made man become like God without being THE God, if that makes sense. We were given divine inspiration to the knowledge of good and evil upon eating what God warned us not to eat because we would be condemned to death.

The curse of death is the mark we bear as a testimony of the truth to our sin and punishment for evil.

There are two deaths, but I won’t get into that now. The point is that we have divine knowledge of good and evil. The Bible teaches us about this knowledge and with the Holy Spirit enlightens us to salvation from death. And that is good news!

What is good?

Only God is good! That is how God, is God, because God is good. If my God were not good, but evil also, then there is no God, but only chaos. Truth is good. There is a reason death is a consequence to my present state. This is also why my God can be trusted, because His judgement is just. How I know is by Jesus Christ. If God were evil would not go to the extent of giving His only Son as a living sacrifice for the sin of the world, provided to and for all that will come to believe in Him to be saved and ultimately rewarded depending on the race you run in salvation. Good is what pleases God, and God is love.

What is Evil?

Evil is Satan. Seeking out the vulnerable for abuse. Distorting the truth. Thinking I am the God of my life. Believing that Jesus Christ did not come in the flesh. Evil is Judas Iscariot betraying the innocent blood of Jesus Christ. For the love of money is the root of all evil. Adultery at heart. Murder at heart. Lying. The sinister element that tempts the heart to corruption. The desire to take and consume life rather than to give of it. To steal rather than serve. To not clothe the naked. To not give food to the hungry and drink to the thirsty. To not visit those in prison.

To understand the tree of the knowledge of good and evil means to discern your spirit and the spirit of those that come to you. The only thing I care to find out about a person is whether they know the truth and believe in Jesus Christ.

Do you know the truth about our condition of sin and do you believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ?

In love,

Nathan Dooley

The Shadow Of Death

†The Shadow Of Death†

Why do we die? What happens when we die? Wait, soooo…two people have not experienced death? Did we die at the beginning of mankind?

I take for granted this “blip” of life given me by God. It’s been quite a convicting ongoing study of death, key in on the “ongoing” because there are so many testimonials of this experience that it’s difficult not to get lost in confusion and fear of the unknown, to the point of just … giving up.

It is also difficult when finding the answer of consequence in relation to those not believing in Jesus Christ (The Word of God) to be that they are destroyed in hell. To think about someone you love so deeply being in such a place. It just doesn’t seem plausible that a loving God would do that. The experience that surrounds the event of death can cause many to question their faith, or understanding of life, it’s traumatic.

From my search and study in Genesis of the Bible found that I die because of the warning “…for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.” I live in a “garment of skin” that testifies to the ground from which my father (Adam) was created; this ground I walk on, the dust that I am and will eventually return to, is cursed. Because the curse consequently … is death.

But that’s not the end.

The reason I believe Adam didn’t die as expectantly was because of the length of time that concludes 1 day. Adam lived to be nearly 1000 years old after the consequence of his sin, but it says that God warned “…for in the day…” so what happened? Why didn’t he die in that day? And why don’t we die in a day?

The apostle Peter of Jesus Christ enlightens me to this truth “that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.” so that explains the reason why Adam didn’t just die as expectantly. These forms of enlightenment are all throughout scripture.

Please don’t do yourself a disservice not to at least consider trusting God with your time in His Word to help you through very hard and difficult times and questions.

Ultimately my Lord God and Father in Heaven is sovereign in how life is governed. I can only hope that those who’ve heard or are hearing this gospel will believe in it’s message. Because the message will give warning and reward. To believe means you bear responsibility to the preaching of this Word that confirms your eternal salvation. To do so means to love, not only your family, but the entire world. Because my Lord and Savior did not die in vain, but so that the world might be saved through Him. The gift of the Holy Spirit that records your name in heaven is the reward.

I pray you will trust in the providence of God. Because none are without excuse, even the dead have heard and are hearing the gospel.

Grandma

The Difference Between A Relationship And Religion

I was talking with a guy here recently about life. A military man. This guy has quite the story, a lot I can relate and not relate to, been through more than most in a short period of time being in his early thirties. It’s no wonder the reason he questions his relationship to God. He believes there is something, a higher power; but the God of the Bible and Christianity, not buying it or any other gods/god of the many facets to other religions.

Did you know that anger can be a religion?

How about a sport like soccer?

Even the military?

I resonate especially with the first two “anger” and “soccer”. But now, my religion, is my grandma. That might seem weird, but I’m telling you, only if you knew my grandma would you understand. This woman believes in visiting the orphans and widows in their †distress, that is literally her job as a caregiver at 77 (nearly 78) years old. I’ve seen my small but strong and wise grandma lift and guide an older gentlemen from his seat to the wheelchair and help people in their distress over and over again.

I’ve witnessed how this woman (my grandma) has loved a family that has rejected her time and time again. My grandma has slept outside in her cold car because she was unwelcome by family only to come back and love again and again. How… do… you… do… that? I’ve heard and seen the treatment, the abuse, she’s endured for the sake of Who she believes in and yet with humility sharing only her mistakes without blaming anyone else. She was told where to sit and what to do if she wanted to see her grand kids and guess what…she did. Writing this infuriates me, yet remembering, “Nathan, Nathan, how I was treated doesn’t matter…” are you kidding me!

My grandma is the type that might scold me for this praise but you’re reading a result of her labor in the Lord her God and I’ll scream aloud “Jesus Christ is Lord!” Because no navy seal can compare to my grandma, bring it! Just kidding, don’t hurt me. The point is religion is a religious practice of what you believe. And my grandma practiced hard with her Bible not only in hand or by word, but her actions. It’s true there are a lot of religions that provoke a lot of questions and demand certain practices, but that is the reason I labor for the preaching of the gospel to all nations.

Because religion to the gospel is defined by visiting the orphans and widows in their distress while being unstained by the world. It is not putting yourself in chains as though you can’t have fun or enjoy life. But it is respecting the true God of your soul and having a relationship with Him every moment of every day. I’m not saying you can’t have a drink of alcohol unless it’s to your destruction (abuse it—then don’t drink it). I’m not saying don’t have a cigarette or cigar, maybe even marijuana depending on where you live, but not to your destruction (addicted—then don’t smoke it).

You might be convinced you’re unable to break a bad habit, but respectfully, you’re wrong. That is like saying, “I won’t stop cheating on my wife because I’m unable, I’ll get cranky, so wheres my porn at!” We all have the ability but lack the discipline because we’re given over to not caring, “who cares”. The One Who created us cares, God didn’t create an experience (sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll) to be abused or take control of you. Have an experience in moderation and respect of wisdom and honor. Now that … is quite a thrill!

Don’t make a religion your excuse not to believe in this gospel being preached to you. We need more Christians speaking, writing, videoing the essential of the gospel of Jesus Christ; Not speaking, writing, videoing my/their personal preference, expectation, or standard of life change—the Holy Spirit of God that convicts every believer will do that work of salvation, justification, and sanctification. We are just providential agents.

I love you Grandma,

Nathan Dooley

“What!? No.” I know what you’re thinking, but I’m not trolling you. And remember, even though I don’t follow Jesus … keep loving people like He did and treat them as you want to be treated. Don’t try and scroll down to see what my aim is here. Does it surprise you? I mean…

I think John L. Cooper said it best—

“More and more of our outspoken leaders or influencers who were once “faces” of the faith are falling away. And at the same time they are being very vocal and bold about it.” (link)

And it only makes sense according to the Christian Post—

“Back in the 1930s, only 5% of Americans did not identify with any religion. In 1990 that number had risen to 8%, a modest increase after more than half a century.

But these last years have brought a dramatic change. By 2008, the number of Americans not identifying with any religion had risen to 12%, and by 2012, it had risen to 20%, with the number among millennials around 30%.” (link)

So this should not come as a surprise to you if it does. Especially if you’ve read how dark my previous post was. I mean, come on. I’ve been in the pits of unquenchable fire and suffering. I guess now the question is whether I truly EVER followed after Jesus? Some might think that my believing was in vain and only wanted something to gain. That I NEVER truly believed.

I would disagree and counter you misunderstand the enlightenment of your own faith or have not been enlightened to the truth of the gospel altogether. Just because you read that I don’t follow after Jesus does not mean that I wasn’t enlightened by the truth of the gospel, see I still know the truth and that is what should make this statement alarming.

The real question is—

Can the person turned away from their faith in Christ re-enter the Christian faith?

Sense we are talking about me because I’m selfish. The answer to that question for me is “no” because in my case I’ve confessed to taste the heavenly gift that made me a partaker of the Holy Spirit. So it is impossible for me to be renewed again to repentance since I again crucify to myself the Son of God and put Him to open shame. Don’t believe me, check out Hebrews chapter 6 in your Bible.

It is the Holy Spirit through the inspired words of the Bible that speak with authority … I’m just a messenger.

That is what happened to Judas Iscariot. Judas held onto his thievery at heart, did not confess this sin. To do this leaves the “believer” (by association) in this case, Judas Iscariot, vulnerable to Satan’s influence (John 12:4-6) and ultimate possession. This is why it is so important for professing Christians to not sell their soul for the cost of their sin not confessed.

38 John said to Him, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us.” 39 But Jesus said, “Do not hinder him, for there is no one who will perform a miracle in My name, and be able soon afterward to speak evil of Me. 40 For he who is not against us is for us. 41 For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because of your name as followers of Christ, truly I say to you, he will not lose his reward. (Mark 9)

49 John answered and said, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name; and we tried to prevent him because he does not follow along with us.” 50 But Jesus said to him, “Do not hinder him; for he who is not against you is ]for you.” (Luke 9)

I’ll confess that I used this title to especially peak the interest of those who thought they knew me to catch them like a fish. Because it’s the kind of friend I am, it’s what I do, that’s my humor and getting a rise out of my friends is quite fun, I admit. Not with the intention of destruction of course, then there would be an issue.

I wasn’t lying about not following Jesus, but I do follow after Jesus with all my heart, soul, strength, and mind. So brothers and sisters in the faith, don’t hinder me just because I’m not following after the style of gospel in you. Don’t hinder me just because you think there are enough christian resources out there for me to get plugged into one without having to startup a recourse of my own. Don’t hinder me…

In Love.

Divided

Divided

It’s sad to reach a point in life when the thought of hell seems much more appealing than to remain in the skin of your flesh. When the thought of escape is your only option, but are petrified. When a call for help is not meant for saving.

I don’t hate my life. But that unreliable feeling of hate sure is poking and prodding. What I hate is being divided by the questions and doubts of people that presume to know me when they don’t have a clue; there is just not enough time in the world to be completely free with people that choose not to believe they can trust you unless you adhere to their “divine” perception for you, then they might believe. As long as you stay within their realm of interpretation and perception.

It’s incredible the amount of attention you will draw to demons when living for your faith “Jesus as Lord” by recognizing sin for what it is and how I’m in desperate need of salvation. It’s incredible the sirens and temptations in place just for you. It’s a constant crouching (Genesis 4:7):

“Those people see you as a tyrant. That woman wants you. That man desires you. Do this to get rich. Say that to make a difference. You’re a sexy beast, well endowed, who can resist. It feels good to be right. It feels good to have power. You’re a liar. You’re a fraud, poser, fake, and the list goes on because you’re unworthy. Don’t waste my time. You have our undivided attention. Look at him, he is better than you in every way. You’re smart and beautiful, but ugly and stupid too. I feel depressed. You’re unstable, unfit, unqualified. Here is your kingdom of heaven! No, there it is!”

I ask myself, “why is this happening?” But it only makes sense. Because…demons are taking the time the world does not have to get to know you and me. Whether the world or I want to believe that or not, the truth sets us free. I hate this spiritual war that divides my soul and blood into pieces as bread for demons and wine for their minions. If you are a believer in the gospel of Jesus Christ, you’ll understand this war, but if not then I hope this will prick at your conscience because you’re held captive thinking you’re free.

They are clever. The devil and his demons … but I see them. And they know that I see them. “It’s a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:31). I’m in hell learning the tips and tricks of insanity navigating my way through the crowd in hope to save some if not all, “have you heard…“.

It’s sad…

I’ll Brow Kick You In The Face

I’ll Brow Kick You In The Face

Yeah, that’s right, you heard me…

I'll Brow Kick You In The Face

Right in the face. Marky Mark taught me that.

Man…wow, I let myself go there; It’s like, clean up your face or something before you just brow beat up the online world!

I’m learning a lot about this blog stuff. It’s important to stay consistent on posting. So here is one on why we need to be mindful of our facial expressions and upkeep. I mean look at that! I disgust myself! Although it is proving useful for some humor!

I have a time limit, so here we go!

Sometimes we can get so caught up in our emotions that we don’t even realize how our faces look to the outside world. You might be going into work right now without a care in the world, but let’s brow beat about that because you should care. If you’re a discontent person, don’t think that it’s disguised behind the veil of your fake face. It’s not hard to figure out if your a mean stupid idiot or not.

I won’t forget about the time going into work as a maintenance engineer (said lightly because there was still so much for me to learn) of a 14-story, five star, class AA office tower building (flex) to talk with the site supervising security officer at the time about life.

The officer was telling me about a circumstance in life that greatly concerned me because of the compromise of integrity and character that not only harmed himself, but had the potential to deteriorate the health of his family. So needless to say the conversation became serious enough that the officer said, “lets brow beat outside”. Once the conversation concluded, much respect was developed for each other by our ability to agree and disagree without compromising the relationship.

Now unfortunately that is not always the case. But the point is that our facial expressions have just as much power if not more, to deliver a message, as our words do.

So what message are you sending to yourself and the world today?

If you’re not content. Why aren’t you? Maybe this will help…

It’s funny! No idea my wife was recording me laugh at what I still thought was so funny, but probably even more funny that my wife has this confused look (again those facial expressions) why I find some things so funny that are not funny to her at all. I think that makes the situation more hilarious!

Anyway … I’ve crossed my deadline getting this published before the work day began. I hope it finds you with joy and if not, will put you in a joyful mood. I know it’s hard sometimes especially when in a state of depression.

In love.

Zoo Lights At The Dallas Zoo|Experience

Once we were through the entrance … all the pressure and stress left.

It was not an easy drive into the Dallas Zoo to see the Zoo Lights. We didn’t realize that patience needed to be packed, gOOdNite! The heck is wrong with people! Why is it so difficult for everyone to be civilized on the road, you know…waiting our turns, giving the right-away. I mean, no lie, a couple prayers went out for you people without patience and consideration. I’m the only one allowed without patience, not you. Get it right! Joke, that was a joke, have mercy.

Prepare to leave 15-30 minutes earlier than your original scheduled time and make sure to pack patience for the drive.

Once we made it to the entrance gate to wait on some friends realized they checked *ID’s* “no exceptions” (thankfully we had ours on us).

Have your drivers license with you at the entrance gate.

Once we were through the entrance … all the pressure and stress left. It was an awesome experience and worth the trouble to get in.

Why Men Should Have Long Hair

No offense to the men with short or no hair. This is the first time I’ve grown my hair out as long as it is and I must say, it can feel real good when your wife plays with it! There is something about having long hair that gives a sense of accomplishment! So if you’re capable of growing it out, try it, but if not, get a wig. It will be fun and funny.

Pros To Men With Long Hair:
  • If you’re married or have girls, expect it decorated and played with on the regular.
  • When well groomed, the look can give off a strong sophisticated appearance.
  • Samson
  • Conversation starter on 1 Corinthians 11:14 (although that hasn’t happened yet).
  • Once long enough, you can donate it.
  • Enlightenment on the maintenance that seems to come so naturally for ladies.

Cons To Men With Long Hair:
  • None

Kidding. There are actually several cons to men with long hair, but that can wait for a future post!
