Salvational Engineers,

draw your attention to the power and majesty from the photo above. Can you imagine being set out to sea in the presence of our Lord, the King of the universe? Not a rhyme or reason to be disturbed from the confidence we have because of His company! Until the storm. So as the storm comes, the question presents itself, where is your faith?

“ 22 Now on one of those days Jesus and His disciples got into a boat, and He said to them, “Let us go over to the other side of the lake.” So they launched out. 23 But as they were sailing along He fell asleep; and a fierce gale of wind descended on the lake, and they began to be swamped and to be in danger. 24 They came to Jesus and woke Him up, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” And He got up and rebuked the wind and the surging waves, and they stopped, and [f]it became calm. 25 And He said to them, “Where is your faith?” They were fearful and amazed, saying to one another, “Who then is this, that He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey Him?”” (Luke 8:22-25)

Let’s turn this around to modern day era and launch ourselves out in a boat with the President of the United States. Does the presence of our President provide the answer and example to our faith? Do military personnel risk their lives to defend what is happening in our news and to our youth? Does the governmental agencies do its’ diligence to rebuke the winds and surging waves of the outcry “Master, Master, we are perishing!”? How about, “We the People”, what are we doing? Engineers – we are just as responsible for risking our lives for the sake of truth that honors God before our Country. And if we huddle together in a boat talking about deliverance, but lack the faith to commence its’ power from God in Christ our Lord, the King, then what was the point of the “huddle”? We first need to establish our faith! How does our individual influences’ impact the communities we live in, because if the influence isn’t wrought in faith then how do we expect to impact our house of representatives and senators that court our freedom? There are political powers beyond what the “eye” sees, and it’s time to place our God given Gift next to the “coin” of Caesar and make a statement.
