Do your motives reveal Jesus Christ?

To continue from my insight #16. The elements that make up our reality communicate options to possibilities. They also communicate our limitations. But what do the motives of our conclusions reveal about us? I wonder.

Ahhhhh… this aught to be interesting!

Right now I’m at work typing up this post. Let’s get right to the meat of it. Each of us are capable of judging to discern the nature of what is good and what is evil. So you be the judge and determine whether the motive of my decision to work on this post while on the clock, is justified.

Every moment spent typing this up is paid for: how do you feel and what do you think about that?

Lets investigate!

“Zero justification” may be the immediate response to the feeling of some. And if you’re my wife, then chances are you’re bias to the risk of what might happen upon the action found out and the discipline expected. “What if you’re fired?”. Which is a very logical and wise position. It goes to show genuine respect for the occupation at hand in honor of personal conviction by the Holy Spirit for that individual.

However, I’m of the belief that ones personal conviction about a given situation may differ than that of another’s in that same situation. And while they may differ, the consequence solely falls on the one taking the risk. Judge wisely. It is important to take into account what a person does with such information if their conviction is strong enough to act on by presenting the issue to necessary personnel (listen to wisdom).

[“Unless you’re a religious political risk-taking genius (or a lawyer)” then you’ll eat this up like steak and tators (considering what the news is reporting about our meat). Alright… now while you may excuse it for confidence and admittedly, it even felt good to write. It’s an unhealthy perspective, totally prideful and arrogant—don’t chalk that up to anything more than humor; motives like that consequence’ a fall so hard, you don’t wake up in freedom.]

My position also, is a bias one. The risk of someone’s eternal salvation; spiritual birth, growth, accountability and responsibility. Therefore, I’m motivated to the knowledge of the gospel by what little time is counting my days to write and do videography with this ministry.

This spiritual insight is about purpose.

I know what my job requires of me. So let me reassure the reader, I’m doing my duty. While my general orders may be confidential and proprietary, they are being accomplished. But did you not know that I must be about my Father’s business?

The real job of any believer is the salvation of souls by the power in the gospel of Jesus Christ preached.

Just as Jesus willfully took the risk of death by crucifixion I too will take the risk of losing my life to serve His Kingdom come. And I’ll do it with wisdom taught by His Spirit active in me presently. But will you hear the motive of His Name? Do you see Jesus Christ revealed in the motive of the cross in your own life… and mine?
