I make no sound, yet I bring order.
I am not seen, but I shape every step.
When your heart and hands agree,
I am the path beneath your feet.
But twist me, and you will stumble—
For I only work when you walk straight.— A THIDDEN Riddle
Inspired by Will Goodall
Some truths don’t come easily.
They don’t shout from the mountaintops or flash like lightning across the sky.
They wait in silence, waiting to be found by the one willing to slow down and seek.
This riddle is one of those truths.
It emerged from a deeper wrestling—not just with Scripture, but with life itself.
With what it means to feel fragmented… and to long for wholeness.
I shared it recently with my community group.
Let’s just say the answers ranged from holy laughter to genuine insight. (My wife Laura’s first guess? You’ll have to ask her. 😄)
But what I loved most was the way everyone engaged.
Not just with the riddle—but with the search.
That’s the heart behind THIDDEN.
“It is the glory of God to conceal a matter,
But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.”
— Proverbs 25:2
Each riddle in the THIDDEN series is an invitation:
Not just to solve, but to reflect.
Not just to think, but to seek.
If this stirred something in you—if the riddle still lingers—then I invite you to go deeper.
