Nov 4, 2023: MYSTERY OF THE DAY

MYSTERY INTRO

This is your fellow SI (Scriptural Investigator) speaking: this post includes affiliate links. If you click and purchase I hope to receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. I recommend resources relevant to mystery and the gospel work of faith.

Much like a verse of the day that other sites give (Bible Gateway, You Version, Blue Letter Bible, etc.) Time For Providence will differ by giving a mystery of the day. A mystery for investigation to solve scripture takes long hours and odd times. I prepare the mystery using a Thompson chain-reference bible—you need one in your library. The awesome thing about this practice is utilizing the chain-reference for learning how all the points of scripture are interwoven and connected.

The time and resources you invest into this practice will not return void or unfruitful, but will cause to reap what is sown the eternal reward. In addition to your chain-reference bible, a couple important items you should have for success in solving the mysteries are a journal and pen; Scriptural Investigator’s notate the details otherwise missed by the untrained, conducting interviews with biblical names (Jesus, Moses and the prophet Elijah, even Enoch or the archangel Michael) and the Church.

Document all relevant information, think outside the perspective of your evidence board. Pull out your laptop or device, have your bible, get a journal and pen, invite a neighbor or detain a gospel believer, because below is a scripture crime you need to investigate and solve!

CRIME SCENE

What Scripture is our lead, and chain-reference topic?

  • Psalm 9:9 – The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.
    • Trouble

THE MYSTERY

Who experienced persecution and afflictions? Who doesn’t experience persecution and affliction? But there was trouble that the apostle Paul experienced on his first missionary journey, what trouble did he experience?

Scriptural Investigator (SI), you might be on a journey where you feel like you’re experiencing trouble, or are in fact experiencing trouble?

Job says that a man is born to trouble as the sparks fly upward (5:7) and being born of a woman is few days and full of trouble (14:1). So you are not alone in the experience of your trouble.

The same Lord that King David said made him see many troubles and calamities will revive him again, that from the depths of the earth He will bring him up again (Ps 71:20), he experienced the snares of death, the terror of darkness, and suffered distress and anguish (Ps 116:3). That is the same Lord that experience crucifixion, and is the same Lord of what trouble we experience today.

For all our days are full of sorrow, and our work is vexation (Ecc 2:23). It will be wise of us to remember that the days of darkness will be many. All that comes is vanity (11:8).

Timothy knew and understood the nature of Paul’s persecutions from his journey, and how the Lord rescued him from all of them!

JOURNAL

I’m learning from today’s mystery that no matter what persecutions or afflictions I experience along my journey that the Lord is my rescue, even now as I type to complete this post am rescued from a spiritual affliction through demonic temptation. In Jesus name, amen. I pray for you SI, the Lord is stronghold in times of trouble!

Comment the Scripture that solves the mystery? [book chapter : verse/s].

Hi, my name is Nathan R. Dooley, and if you’re interested in mystery, philosophy, psychology and criminal justice genres, like me, then I’m excited to have brought you this MYSTERY OF THE DAY where you will experience the verse of the day in a way like Sherlock Homes experiences a case that needs solving. There is a hope and a plan to expand this project, but just like Sherlock Holmes needed Dr. Watson, this project will need resources that provide video content as the next addition to this service, with more idea-plans uh brewing. (Lord willing).
