Octo 3, 2023: Solve Scripture

TODAY’S MYSTERY

It’s not by anything we’ve done to earn God’s appearance to us for our salvation. The Wonderful Counsellor, according to His mercy, saved us. How? Innocence traded for the guilty by the Lamb of God. The Holy Spirit is poured out to wash and renew us. We have been justified by His grace so that we might become overcomers in the hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

SCRIPTURE CLUES
  • Luke 12:4-5 * And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!
  • 1 Peter 1:3 * Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
  • Lamentations 3:22 * Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.

JOURNAL

Yesterday’s mystery scripture was a good reminder for me not to be afraid of what man can do to my body, rather, to fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell. I ask myself, “Why do I get afraid of what might happen to me or what people might think of me?”

What are you afraid of, Reader?
