Octo 16, 2023: MYSTERY OF THE DAY

In the old testament, God spoke through a certain minor prophet around 430 B.C., and what God said through that prophet is a question for today. Do you fear God? Because if you do, look to one another, also to your neighbor, and return to God in your speech through conviction of His name! What will be written of you when you are remembered? Will it be that you feared God, or robbed Him?

What is the scripture that solves this mystery? [book chapter : verse/s].

SCRIPTURE CLUES
  • Psalm 19:1414 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.
  • Romans 12: 33 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think, but to think so as to be sober-minded, as God has apportioned to each a measure of faith.
  • 1 Timothy 4:15 – Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.
JOURNAL

Reader, since the composing of this post I’ve been convicted to turn to my brothers about God, asking myself personally, and them, how we are doing with regard to 1 Timothy 4:12 – Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.

  • speech
  • conduct
  • love
  • faith
  • purity

While the NIV version is not my go to I thought those points listed above were good to pose a question for self-analysis:

How are you doing in those areas?
