CARNAL INTELLECT VS SPIRITUAL INTELLECT

Now that you’ve punched me in the face, and hopefully discovered a new perspective apart from the carnal. The next process in gaining knowledge for understanding that spiritual perspective of truth is the practical use of such wisdom—by restraining yourself from punching anyone else in the face. I say that jokingly, but in our day and age of intelligence the carnal perspective is cut to quick about the subtlest things which invokes all sorts of emotional instabilities and chaos to resolve what then becomes worse and worse. The solution is a spiritual intellect.

As a reminder from my previous post linked above, the Word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword; that sword of the Holy Spirit is experienced upon listening and or reading scriptural texts; the sword pierces through soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, even able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. But why the heart, and not the intellect? Because the life blood encompasses the heart of the entire body (temple of the Holy Spirit) that indwells within, and mankind has received the blood transfusion of Jesus Christ for redemption. That blood is mankind’s justification for righteousness gifted at the cross where Jesus took the wrath on our behalf.

However, the natural instinct to the carnal mind is to save him or hers’ own soul as if I or you had the power to do so, and that is—in my opinion—the greatest scheme of the devil, “Save your own skin.” Save it from what, or who, exactly?

The carnal mind becomes it’s own worst enemy because it’s also the enemy to the Spirit of God. That sword of God’s word is judging our motives. And I don’t think I can stress that enough as someone who related to the carnal perspective (only); the war between the carnal mind and spiritual mind is surreal.

I hate my carnal way of thinking because of the sin that means to seduce me into the lake of fire. I mean, writing that, let alone reading it—the lake of fire—is felt. Anyone with a conscience experiences the certainty of that truth, but the carnal intellect reacts in fear because it knows this truth, and that’s also why it must die. The carnal intellect will deceive at all costs for survival to godship, not repentance, but to be “God”. And no person understanding that, suppressing the truth it’s of, will survive the judgement, because they chose to save their life (carnal intellect) rather than lose it.

For what good will it do a person if he gains the whole world, but forfeits his soul? Or what will a person give in exchange for his soul?—Matthew 16:26

  • The one who has found his life will lose it, and the one who has lost his life on My account will find it.—Matthew 10:39
  • For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.—Mark 8:35

  • Whoever strives to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will keep it.—Luke 17:33

“Oh but the world is so presently intoxicating and addictive by what cannot be changed. Why not enjoy it?” The carnal man continues… “It’s not intoxicating or addictive…it’s reality! Pass me another ‘virgin’ (opportunity)!” Only to meet the inevitable—unrecognizable—consequence by what appears as freedom to reality. Don’t believe that mindset, it’s a lie straight from the pit of darkness masquerading as light. And that way of thinking is what it means to be carnal (fleshly) minded only.

There may be some—or many, even—that think in terms of social science as though justified by it, “Society agrees that murder is unjust warranting judgment, as long as it’s not discriminatory.” Yah, I won’t even wish “good luck with that” it’s so contradictory. It’s also weak when weighing to measure that system of justice with the value of life, or death even, rather. Because if a criminal like Adolf Hitler, Ted Bundy, David Koresh, Jim Jones, and the list goes on and on with “life” (death) sentences in prison up 1000+ years…

I might be wrong to ask, but how can anyone think that a death sentience is a means for solace? Do the research on the most prolific serial killers and see for yourselves the amount of uncounted victims to families without solace, and dare I say that if anyone blame God for such evil they’re worse off than the serial killers.

It’s a stark reality when falling into the hands of the living God!

For we know him who said, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay.” And again, “The Lord will judge his people.” It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

The prayer of Solomon

7 Now, O LORD my God, You have made Your servant king in place of my father David, yet I am but a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in. 8 Your servant is in the midst of Your people which You have chosen, a great people who are too many to be numbered or counted. 9 So give Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?”

How it pleased God

10 It was pleasing in the sight of the Lord that Solomon had asked this thing. 11 God said to him, “Because you have asked this thing and have not asked for yourself long life, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have you asked for the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself discernment to understand justice, 12 behold, I have done according to your words. Behold, I have given you a wise and discerning heart, so that there has been no one like you before you, nor shall one like you arise after you.

A wise son makes a father glad,
But a foolish son is a grief to his mother.
2 Ill-gotten gains do not profit,
But righteousness delivers from death.
3 The LORD will not allow the righteous to hunger,
But He will reject the craving of the wicked.
4 Poor is he who works with a negligent hand,
But the hand of the diligent makes rich.

It is in 1st Kings chapter 3 that we discover a boy who has a heart desperate for wisdom, and she (Wisdom) built her house in Solomon for our instruction generations later.

As I meditate on today’s chapter of Proverbs, I can’t help but think of what Jesus said in the gospels according to Matthew (6) and Luke (12): 27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; but I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these.—because we often worry about missing out in this life, thinking… “What if we don’t eat the best meals? What if I miss out on seeing the Grand Canyon? What about clothing, and what I should wear to meet societal standards; keeping up with the hottest trends? Will there be enough purpose to go around for me to exist? What does my future hold considering the impending death that awaits me? …Etc.”

Choose her over Worry

Her—meaning Wisdom.

Worry is a type of “she” that is a lot like the harlot known as Pornography as discussed in a previous devotional; she competes for your attention to torment your soul as the conviction of truth sets-in when we sin by worrying; pleasing Worry, rather than keeping Wisdom for our righteous pleasure, is not healthy.

So choose Wisdom over Worry, and—do not keep worrying. 30 For all these things the nations of the world eagerly seek; but your Father knows that you need these things. 31 But seek His kingdom, and these things will be added to you. 32 Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom.33 “Sell your possessions and give to charity; make yourselves money belts which do not wear out, an unfailing treasure in heaven, where no thief comes near nor moth destroys. 34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

But a babbling fool will be ruined.
9 He who walks in integrity walks securely,
But he who perverts his ways will be found out.
10 He who winks the eye causes trouble,
And a babbling fool will be ruined.
11 The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life,
But the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.

The soul is where Wisdom builds her house, but the heart is where the fruit of Wisdom becomes tangible, or etable; our language is what gives information about ourselves; whether we have chosen to receive commands; walk in integrity; or use our mouths to speak what is honest; our language will tell the truth about souls.

But what happens when we babble inwardly, seeking out what is perverted, and then conceal the wickedness for gaining an experience that speaks what language?

Hatred

12 Hatred stirs up strife,
But love covers all transgressions.
13 On the lips of the discerning, wisdom is found,
But a rod is for the back of him who lacks understanding.
14 Wise men store up knowledge,
But with the mouth of the foolish, ruin is at hand.
15 The rich man’s wealth is his fortress,
The ruin of the poor is their poverty.
16 The wages of the righteous is life,
The income of the wicked, punishment.
17 He is on the path of life who heeds instruction,
But he who ignores reproof goes astray.
18 He who conceals hatred has lying lips,
And he who spreads slander is a fool.
19 When there are many words, transgression is unavoidable,
But he who restrains his lips is wise.

But hatred of what?

Hatred, once developed, is a VERY dangerous element to the human psyche if directed at the wrong system.

Hatred of what is evil signifies a house that is built on the rock; referencing Jesus according the Holy Spirit in Matthew chapter 7—24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. So hate what is evil, but don’t be an idiot; don’t think it’s our job to solve an evil problem by getting angry at it; that’s not smart and in-fact is consequential to a hard lesson learned or worse, stuck in the depravity of your sin by the guilt of what results come out of vengeful emotions.

I think if we really listen to the instruction of wisdom will learn to…

be trained in righteousness!

We’ll start to make sense of a person’s identity by how they behave with the instruction of our proverbs in mind; growth of what is good is inevitable when our mind, heart, soul, and strength are inclined to understand words of righteousness from our Lord, Jesus Christ!

When we can make sense of a person’s identity then will know how to adapt to that person’s spiritual state, and hopefully influence our own personal gospel account of the Holy Spirit that inspires the salvation of Jesus Christ. Because…

Remember

It is not our place to be the savior of a person’s soul. That title is already claimed in what Jesus Christ did on the cross for the entire world. So our job is to proclaim the gospel by how we behave, and hopefully, EVERY soul will come to the experience of salvation in Jesus Christ. Now, I understand the possibility of some if not many people arguing the nature of Revelation—15 And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. So let me just clarify that I’m not implying all peoples will escape the reality of eternal punishment upon their judgement time, but only mean to communicate that that is NOT our responsibility to determine!

Judgement

The apostle Paul teaches:

1 Does any one of you, when he has a case against his neighbor, dare to go to law before the unrighteous and not before the saints? 2 Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? If the world is judged by you, are you not competent to constitute the smallest law courts? 3 Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more matters of this life? 4 So if you have law courts dealing with matters of this life, do you appoint them as judges who are of no account in the church? 5 I say this to your shame. Is it so, that there is not among you one wise man who will be able to decide between his brethren, 6 but brother goes to law with brother, and that before unbelievers?

In 1st Corinthians chapter 6—2 Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? If the world is judged by you, are you not competent to constitute the smallest law courts? 3 Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more matters of this life?

We judge angels yo!

So our responsibility is to the acclaimed believers, not unbelievers.

We evangelize to the unbelievers in hope for their salvation, but do not execute the vengeance of God upon the unbelievers rejection of the gospel. God has already established what happens to those who choose their condemnation; that judgement is found in the book of Revelation.

The judgement we implement as believers—here and now—is governed by trusted church officials that remind misbehaving believers what the gospel convicts the sinner saved by grace through faith is, and unless they heed counsel and turn away from their sin; the work of the Holy Spirit has designated believers in Christian Churches that will organize an appropriate disciplinary action for acclaimed believers remaining in their sinful practice they know is contrary to the truth of the gospel: See Matt 18.

27 The fear of the LORD prolongs life,
But the years of the wicked will be shortened.
28 The hope of the righteous is gladness,
But the expectation of the wicked perishes.
29 The way of the LORD is a stronghold to the upright,
But ruin to the workers of iniquity.
30 The righteous will never be shaken,
But the wicked will not dwell in the land.
31 The mouth of the righteous flows with wisdom,
But the perverted tongue will be cut out.
32 The lips of the righteous bring forth what is acceptable,
But the mouth of the wicked what is perverted.

If you are a believer and do not have a church body; meaning three to eleven christian brothers and sisters in your personal life; you are depriving yourself wisdom.

Wisdom has built her house in your soul for the reason and purpose of intimacy with the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ; the Holy Spirit is working out your salvation within you as you respond to the sanctification process. However, that process does not happen without an actual relationship to the Word of God and a relationship with your Church:

19 Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; 24 and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, 25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

In the book of Hebrews chapter 10, we are reminded of this level of intimacy between each other— 24 and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, 25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

Don’t do that!

Don’t develop that habit of forsaking your own assembling together!

20 The tongue of the righteous is as choice silver,
The heart of the wicked is worth little.
21 The lips of the righteous feed many,
But fools die for lack of understanding.
22 It is the blessing of the LORD that makes rich,
And He adds no sorrow to it.
23 Doing wickedness is like sport to a fool,
And so is wisdom to a man of understanding.
24 What the wicked fears will come upon him,
But the desire of the righteous will be granted.
25 When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more,
But the righteous has an everlasting foundation.

Listen, if you skipped to the end just to read this part well… I understand, it is kind-of-a long read, but if nothing else; please hear me say this…

Be that leader!

Organize yourself some designated people that will commit to being your personal church! That is vital for setting your soul in perfect order! You need your church or you’ll be left vulnerable to the devices and schemes of the devil in your life that couches at the door to devour you. Get rid of your ego and find your foundation that will hold you accountable to spiritual convictions when on trial for sin—which is every moment of your day that is called “Today”.

If you are living in Sodom and Gomorrah then it is time to move, pack your bags and bounce! Because we ain’t got time for that!

If you think you’re not a leader, then let me break it down for you…

You are!

Now organize a sit-down with those christian people in your life; that foundation, WILL BE RIGHTEOUS!
