Can Someone Embrace Homosexuality And Still Be Saved?

I know this is a tough topic. There are a lot of emotions tied up in this subject. Some of us likely have gay friends or family. Some of us may even identify as LBGTQIAP ourselves.

Before we go any further I have to tell you something very important. God loves everyone. He loves the Lesbian the same as he loves the straight dude the same as he loves the asian little person. These labels are ours, not His. He loves you for you just as you are.

Also there are people who can do this message so much better than me. Check out this talk by Jonathan Pokluda or this one by David Marvin.

My Answer

I decided to breakdown this question in order to get a more unbiased look at it. As a result my two new questions will put the spotlight on all people not conforming to the standard of the bible, in other words… everyone.

This is tough so I’m going to start with a prayer.

Father, let the words that I’m typing be true and if they are not true would you encourage the readers to overlook them or to challenge me with scripture so that I may be sharpened in my understanding of you. Please help our defenses to go down and let your word cut its way into our life. Help me to yield Your Word with grace and mercy and please forgive me where/if I have misused it. I need you! Amen

A Breakdown

The question ‘can someone embrace homosexuality and still be saved’ can be split into two more generalized questions: 1) What does it take to be saved? 2) Can someone embracing sin still be saved?

What Does It Take To Be Saved?

There are several scriptures that lay out what is required in order to be saved. John 3:16 is world famous, but the another good verse is Romans 10:9 NIV: “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

You might ask, “don’t you need to repent and be saved?”

The interesting part about these verses is the absence of the term repentance. However, when we study the book of Acts particularly focusing on the narratives regarding people coming to salvation we start to notice a trend. Acts 2:38, 3:19, 11:18, 17:30; 20:21; 26:20. Do you see it? Where there was salvation there was repentance!

Therefore, I have come to conclusion that salvation and repentance are two side of the same coin. In order to get salvation you must have repentance. Thus, one is saved when they declare Jesus as Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead and as a result of that salvation we should see some level, even a tiny amount, of repentances as evidence of one’s new faith.

Can Someone Embracing Sin Still Be Saved?

To embrace an idea is to believe something is true or make the concept one with us. For example, if we say Bryan has really embraced vulnerability we would mean that Bryan has taken the concept of vulnerability and applied it to his life. If Bryan did this well we would be able to say, “Bryan is a vulnerable person.” The embraced concept becomes a part of who he is, so to embrace sin is to make it part of our identity.

As stated at the beginning of this post I wanted to remove the focus on homosexuality and focus on how this question affects all people. When we generalize the original question we can turn it into a fill in the blank.

Can someone embracing (___INSERT SIN___) still be saved?

We need to really think about this question. How does this apply to us? Can I really keep embracing my disrespectful attitude toward my boss and still be saved? Can I continue pursuing these lustful fantasies and still be saved? Your questions could also look like the following?

  • Can someone embrace gossiping and still be saved?
  • Can someone embrace stealing time at work and still be saved?
  • Can someone embrace sex before marriage and still be saved?
  • Can someone embrace homosexuality and still be saved?
  • Can someone embrace coveting others possessions and still be saved?

Conclusion

When we believe in Jesus’ resurrection from the dead and declare Him as Lord we are instantly saved. We are made completely new in the eyes of God, but we still have many, if not all, of our flaws. We don’t just stop sinning the moment we are saved. We are continually convicted and shown our old and new sin in a process of sanctification. We are saved, but we continue to sin through moments of weakness/ignorance/disobedience. We live our lives and then when we are confronted with our sin we should confess it (sometimes over and over again) and find healing. We should not see our sin, justify its existence, then accept it as who we are. When we embrace sin we are declaring our desires as Lord, rather than Jesus.

However, if one can be ignorant to God’s teaching then maybe they can be saved while embracing their sin. However, I have deep concern for anyone’s salvation who knows they are sinning and chooses to keep sinning anyways. That reaction to Jesus seems like the response of a person who is choosing a life of what they want rather than surrendering to God’s wants for their life. In essence they believe in God, but they declare themselves as Lord.

OUTLINE

  1. What does it take to be saved?
    1. John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Romans 10:9 – If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
    2. What about repentance?
      1. Whenever I was looking through Acts on how people got saved I saw a trend – where there was salvation there was often repentance. Acts 2:38, 3:19, 11:18, 17:30; 20:21; 26:20.
      2. We also see that bible warns against unrepentance and the result of unrepentance. It also says that we are suppose to cut sin from our lives. Romans 6:1,12,15; 8:2; 1 Corinthians 6:18, 15:32; 2 Corinthians 12:21; 1 Timothy 3:20; Hebrews 10:26, 12:4
    3. Considering a and b together I have come to the conclusion that salvation and repentance are two sides of the same coin. In order to get salvation you must have repentance.
      1. Therefore one is saved when they declare Jesus as Lord and believe in their heart that God raised him from the dead and as a result of that salvation we should see some level, even a tiny amount, of repentance as evidence of their new faith.
  2. Can someone embrace sin and still be saved?
    1. I have now generalized the question so that we can apply this to everyone. So the new question might read as such
      1. Can someone embrace gossiping and still be saved?
      2. Can someone embrace stealing time at work and still be saved?
      3. Can someone embrace sex before marriage and still be saved?
      4. Can someone embrace coveting others possessions and still be saved?
      5. Can someone embrace homosexuality and still be saved?
      6. Can someone embrace _____sin______ and still be saved?
        1. I’m not including addictions on this list on purpose because at the point when someone is addicted I don’t know if that person is capable of choosing what is right and what is wrong.
    2. To embrace an idea is to believe something is true or to make the concept one with us (for example if we were to say Bryan has really embraced vulnerability, we would mean that Bryan has taken the concept of vulnerability and applied it to his life so that one could easily say, “Bryan is such a vulnerable person” – the embraced concept becomes a part of who he is) so to embrace sin is to make it part of our identity.
    3. When we believe in Jesus resurrection from the dead and declare Him as Lord we are instantly saved. We are made completely new in the eyes of God, but we still have many if not all of our flaws. We don’t just stop sinning the moment we are saved. We are continually convicted and shown our old and new sin in a process of sanctification. We are saved, but we continue to sin through moments of weakness/ignorance/disobedience. We live our lives and then when we are confronted with our sin we confess it (sometimes over and over again) and find healing. We should not see our sin, justify its existence, then accept it as who we are. When we embrace sin we are declaring our desires as Lord rather than Jesus. However, if one can be ignorant to God’s teaching then maybe they can be saved while embracing their sin. I would have deep concern for someone’s salvation if they know they are sinning and choose to sin anyways. That response to Jesus seems like the response of a person who is choosing a life of what they want rather than surrendering to God. In essence they believe in God but they declare themselves as Lord.

SIN

It’s funny, the featured photo represents the theme well. If you look closely you’ll see little unintended “dots” where I was trying to edit the photo using the “Markup” tool on my iPhone proving that I was “missing the mark” in finalizing the photo. According to the Greek, I “sinned“. Okay, not technically because we’re not dealing with a simple mistake.

It is so much more difficult to try an communicate this understanding on camera than it is to write. But I enjoy the practice, ever learning.

Laying the foundation of spiritual understanding is the practice of putting the desires of your flesh (your life) to death. Because we need to be born again for a new life that will not die. When Adam and Eve “missed the mark” by eating the fruit God commanded them not to eat, they fell short of the glory they once had by not eating that fruit; so they were given over to their choice, which was to die, but that’s not the end.

Adam and Eve were convicted upon hearing the sound of the Lord God among the trees of the garden and hid themselves because they were afraid. Why is that? I believe it’s because they recognized their shame due to enlightenment that fruit possessed. However, they both responded to God’s call. You are also being called. “Where are you?”.

Chronological Bible Study-The Beginning of Beginnings

img_4762-1.jpg
The Baker Book of Bible Charts, Maps, and Time Lines

Join me on Mt. Sinai with God and Moses to discover the beginning of our beginning. This is a very exhausting study but well worth the time and effort. In my Bible I learn that Moses is the author of the first five books also known as the Pentateuch. These books were more than likely written during the 40-year period of Israel’s wanderings in the desert: 1446—1406 BC

Note: the “BC” given after the calendar year (1446—1406 BC) means “Before Christ” but if you see “BCE” (nowadays), don’t be alarmed, it just means “Before Common Era“. (According to my research). The reasons surround appeasing those not Christian and an arguably inaccurate calculation of  Jesus’ birth. It’s believed that Jesus Christ was born around 6—4 BC, which is why these labels (BCE/CE) “CE” for “Common Era” are being used today by many publications rather than (BC/AD) “AD” meaning “the year of the Lord” as it references a Latin phrase: anno domini (“the year of the Lord”—after Jesus was born.)

So why Moses? “God… Why Moses?”—A prayer guiding me through a lot of scripture to uncover the context of that time. Moses was beautiful in the sight of his mother and lovely in the sight of God. God heard the outcry of the sons of Israel at the time of their oppression in Egypt and remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. It’s time to organize the sons of Israel as God’s covenant people and Moses is the man God will be with to do it. It all points to Jesus Christ.

Coffee At Midnight In The Giant City

Featured photo: Ben Jacobi www.bdjphoto.com

Have you ever discovered the moment you’re awake at midnight with some coffee looking at a photo that is talking to you? That is where I’m at. When I first encountered this photo the word “maze” came to mind describing my immediate perception, but learned that this maze is called “Giant City” in Illinois. But aside from that information. This photo that speaks is, actually, not the one talking.

The very Person in my mind I think about when looking into this photo is Jesus Christ. But I don’t claim to see an image of a person I’ve never seen, nor do I claim to hear His voice having never heard what it sounds like. I claim to perceive Him. There are a number of different ways this photo is interpreted for bearing meaning in my life, but there is only one that will make a difference. The meaning of Jesus Christ. When I look at this photo I experience a walk with the Holy Spirit of God teaching me the truth about myself within the maze of this world. No matter the path this world has to offer, it is a path to death just as you see the paths presented in the photo, but there is a path you won’t see unless you perceive it. That path, is a path of faith.

To experience faith is to place your confidence in a promise that someone gives you.

I promise you, follow me and we’ll get out of this maze.

The question is whether you’ll believe in the promise even if the person that promised dies. That is what Jesus Christ—being the image of God as the Son of God—promised. He promised that He would be raised from the dead and resurrected to the right hand of God. That is recorded to have happened in history past, but is still a living promise today. The promise is for those that believe to be resurrected with Him right now, having been baptized with Christ as a symbol of obedience by repentance. You’ve chosen to acknowledge that all born from the seed of Adam are guilty of sin (lust, idolatry, and pride) and so convicted to the point of death that you place your trust in the promise of God. The grace of God is given through that promise of faith, you have mercy, not wrath. But if you do not believe in that promise, you have His wrath, not mercy.

So my purpose in the maze of this world is to plant a seed, a seed of promise. The promise that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true. Everyone is born into this life by the design of God, a design that was good corrupted by evil. So every person has had, has, and will have the opportunity to believe, ask the thief on the cross that died with Christ.

I see you, you see Me

Chemistry

“Whoa!”.  “What is this, I feel!?”.  “I didn’t like you, but now… It’s real!”.  “What is this… Chemistry?  ‘It’s foreign.'”.  “Where did it come from?”.  “I see you, you see me.”.  “Our mouths are not moving, but the truth ‘speaks’.”.  “I’m convicted, ‘flee!’.”.  “But the passion of my heart burns to see!”. “Who says ‘no’ to this ecstasy?”.  “So where is my ‘angle’?”.  “When is the time and how will I know?”.  “This ‘taste’, to be liked.”.  “I’m sought to be known!”.  “The venom is piercing from vein to bone!”.  “I’m losing control!”.  “Help me, God!”.  “There’s nowhere to go!”.

Profile

Adolescence, doesn’t seem to fit the profile of it’ definition.  There is a period between puberty into maturity, but at what age is the point of maturity?  Although I didn’t reach puberty until a junior in high school.  I was educated by design that procreation was pleasure.  I was not educated about the spiritual meaning.  Marriage is a covenant.  The pleasures of this life are fleeting.  So I occupied myself with mischievous thoughts and fantasies of malpractice.  I think our adolescent profiles need to change, or rather, become educated about the spiritual aspect to our adolescence.  Reader, I’ll need your help if you agree.  If we had been educated about the spiritual aspect of our changing nature and desire during youth could have prevented a series of mistakes that effect everything.  But without you, Reader.  Can a spec of dust effect the vast universe of particles?  After all, that is all of what I am.  A spec of dust; vapor in the wind (if you will), amidst the cosmic order of creation.  So the purpose to influence a person or society with change is next to hitting the lottery, in comparison.  What is the protocol for telling people about their salvation by way of Jesus Christ sending the Holy Spirit into their life?  The “instruction manual” (Bible) for this procedure is very difficult to understand without someone to teach me the truth about my nature and desires.  I’ll need help.

Scenario

Have you ever been unexpectedly forgiven, loved and cherished after confessing certain truths about mistakes that were made?  Knowing already, that the answer to your own question is “undeserving of forgiveness and justifiably deemed unworthy of deliverance from whatever the consequence”?  I have been unexpectedly forgiven.  Reader, my prayer is that you’ll know for yourself, “…have mercy on me, a sinner.”.  My saint of a grandmother forgave me from what I deserved.  Why?  I didn’t deserve a place in her life.  She had every right to send me on my way.  But, she gave me life.  It has been difficult for me to make sense of this.  I’d taken advantage of her gift to care; shelter over my head, clothes on my back, food in my belly, and water to quench the flame.  I “snuck” a lesbian[?] stripper into her home.  And that is but one scenario among others to my shame.  In the processes of my weaknesses; God granted me mercy, forgiveness, and is still healing me to His glory.  I pray this post finds you in your struggle as not only telling you “I can relate”, but that Jesus related beyond relation to the extent of dying… experiencing this place of death although innocent.  Sin is not worth the troubled whispers of lies that only prove a fearful expectation.  There is an expected award for obedience which also means an expected consequence for disobedience.  No different than our prisons in this life, am confident of a prison in the next.  The church is the devils playground; salvation is the game, and vulnerability, his poise.  I see more and more teachers, leaders, and preachers pressed to the limit of their heart’ desires and pride as “untouched by sin because of grace”.  My spirit aches and mourns because of unconfessed sins.  People that fear their own reputation instead of God.

Secretary

Will the King of a palace say to his trusted counsel, -“Help!  My ‘eye’ is on a woman that is not the Queen”-.  And will the counsel dare reply the King, -“We will pluck that woman out, my King! It is a sin against God; turn from it, and be healed.”-.  Now with the Spirit of God, the Secretary perceived the King’s desire and said to herself, -“God, how should I move, or should I? The King’s eye is upon me. What of my husband? ‘Would he listen or be willing to understand?’. And… what of our family?”-.  This Secretary is the “breadwinner” of her family and the husband a stay at home dad.  This King is good looking and could position this Secretary as Queen.  The Queen says, -“God, my God, thank you for leaving Your palace for the sake of my salvation. Please teach me how You are to be honored in my marriage and position to this throne. Give my Husband the wisdom to lead as You have served.”.  The palace of this kingdom has been compromised by lust but each character has a decision to be made.  Every character is at risk of having to sacrifice something; reputation (eye), life, wealth, and love.

Help

Reader, you are reading this post for a reason.  I’m thankful for the relationship we can have even in this connection of “words on screen”.  I’ve underestimated the power of escape that God provides through knowing His Son by way of the Holy Spirit.  There is always an escape from the desire of sinful practice luring beneath the surface of our skin.  There is a consequential experience (awakening) to a reality that was left covered for a reason.  The mystery to life beyond the grave is real.  My conscience has been torn and ripped apart too many times to sit around for a “well spoken of” reputation that remains enslaved to evil devices common to man.  There is an escape!  Because my God says so!

Session 3 – An Interviewing by God

Featured photo: Ben Jacobi www.bdjphoto.com

Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast your integrity? Curse God and die!” 10 But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God and not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips. (Job 2)

I understand Job to be an illustration of our present day global suffering to the individual adversities each of us share.  Just as Job had experienced the loss of nearly everything, it wasn’t finished.  Evil has a strategic agenda to confuse the truth with lies, and thereby, challenges our devotion to what is good and righteous.  As long as our hearts receives the approval of those we care so deeply for rather than receiving from the only One Who matters, we’re lost and without understanding; in danger of fearing the wrath of God at the coming of His Son.

Although the wife of Job insists to “Curse God and die!“.  Job is not manipulated by the love he has for his wife; because God supplied and took away what was necessary for this process of understanding the truth of God.  Someone tell me.

  • How did Job come to life?  – Was it not through suffering?

11 Now when Job’s three friends heard of all this adversity that had come upon him, they came each one from his own place, Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite; and they made an appointment together to come to sympathize with him and comfort him. 12 When they lifted up their eyes at a distance and did not recognize him, they raised their voices and wept. And each of them tore his robe and they threw dust over their heads toward the sky. 13 Then they sat down on the ground with him for seven days and seven nights with no one speaking a word to him, for they saw that his pain was very great. (Job 2)

We will not find truth in succumbing to the flattery of friends, nor by believing the accusations against us by self-righteous friends.  However, as Job goes through the turmoil of Satan discovers the character of God and His immense power.  Don’t give up where you are and don’t make the mistake of being someone else’s “god” for the sake of easing their pain.  Live by the understanding that the grace given by God abounds the sins of your life.  Confess and contend with God, but understand this truth, Job repented in dust and ashes when God showed up!  Do you, or we, think, that our place is not the same as Job’s.  Or are you so arrogant as a son or daughter of Satan, to challenge the character of another based on what God has provided for them, and not you?  I pray this is not confused with partiality or being favored by what is given materially, for we all equally have the opportunity at receiving the gift of God.  What have you chosen over that gift?

Interviewed by God – Session 2

Featured photo: Ben Jacobi www.bdjphoto.com

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. The Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?” Then Satan answered the Lord and said, “From roaming about on the earth and walking around on it.” The Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, fearing God and turning away from evil.” (Job 1)

Reader (listener), indulge me, you are the character of Job.  I, the writer, will entertain the character of Satan [….scary thought].

Then Satan answered the Lord, “Does Job fear God for nothing? 10 Have You not made a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. 11 But put forth Your hand now and touch all that he has; he will surely curse You to Your face.” 12 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power, only do not put forth your hand on him.” So Satan departed from the presence of the Lord. (Job 1)

Take notice how “Satan” and “Jesus” refer to “God”.  What does it mean to fear God?

Satan:

•”Job, I see your potential and how the fruit of your integrity will produce a bountiful return.  Once dead; people will learn of this character you seem to possess, they will discover how God is good; the seed of your fruit will effect the world, but soon will become confused.”

20 Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head, and he fell to the ground and worshiped. 21 He said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked I shall return there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.” 22 Through all this Job did not sin nor did he blame God. (Job 1)

Satan:

•”Interesting, surely you must be experiencing the weight of a heavy depression.  At this point I’ve distorted the view of right and wrong; knowledge of good and evil is my heaven; yet you think, or seem to have thought to own the right of understanding what is impossible for man to understand.  After all, you were sacrificing for your kids, why, thinking what?  That they would have favor with God and not die in their sins?  What of you, Job?  Do you think you’ll find favor with God by maintaining your integrity?  Now to get you vulnerable; vulnerable enough, to set you up, for my success.  I’ll need access to your soul.  It’s time to present myself again, before Jesus.”

Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them to present himself before the Lord. The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” Then Satan answered the Lord and said, “From roaming about on the earth and walking around on it.” The Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man fearing God and turning away from evil. And he still holds fast his integrity, although you incited Me against him to ruin him without cause.” Satan answered the Lord and said, “Skin for skin! Yes, all that a man has he will give for his life. However, put forth Your hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh; he will curse You to Your face.” So the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, he is in your power, only spare his life.” (Job 2)

Satan:

•”Ah Job, you may believe your skin God has rapped you in, preserves your life for salvation, but the sting of death is sin, and the sin of your beginning is mine.  I so look forward to devouring you; to manipulate your emotions, confuse your psyche, and inflict what you fear.  The salvation of preservation is my advantage to use as a means to set the world up at my right hand in the place called, Hell.  Don’t worry, Job. ‘You’re so important to me’.”

Interviewed by God – Session 1

Featured photo: Ben Jacobi www.bdjphoto.com

Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind and said, “Who is this that darkens counsel By words without knowledge? “Now gird up your loins like a man, And I will ask you, and you instruct Me! (Job 38)

A true character of integrity is accomplished by humility.  Do you experience grasping at questions of meaning for your life, and or, life after death?  What does your past compare to Job’s?  And what does your current status or bodily condition compare to Job’s?  Have you reached a place of seeking the presence of the Almighty to explain reasons of things too wonderful for us to understand?  It may be because you’re being interviewed by God for either a promotion or demotion.

Then the Lord said to Job, “Will the faultfinder contend with the Almighty? Let him who reproves God answer it.” Then Job answered the Lord and said, “Behold, I am insignificant; what can I reply to You? I lay my hand on my mouth. “Once I have spoken, and I will not answer; Even twice, and I will add nothing more.” (Job 40)

What is the root cause for your reason to object God on His terms for hire?  What if God sees you perfect and upright, still choosing to turn away from evil despite the mark of sin in your life?  And, so, what if God permits Satan the test of sudden destruction on your livelihood, family, and health so that your spirit may be proved belonging to Him all along, saved, bearing the mark of salvation that was always present with you for eternity with Him.  Please, don’t bother sending God your resume.  He will come visit you where you are and examine for Himself the qualifications you have, to freely live, as God set in motion for you to receive.  Let us see how you will contend against God, to reprove God.

We need to remember the One, Who blessed us with what we have.  Don’t lose sight of God by the distraction of whatever kind of pain we’re presently experiencing.  He has provided the way for a promotion.  Stay tuned.

The Balance

Untitled-1-21-18_BenJacobi

Feature and Header photo: Ben Jacobi www.bdjphoto.com

Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. 10 For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up. 11 Furthermore, if two lie down together they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone? 12 And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

It’s attractive … Isn’t it. To live like gods; being judge and juror of our very own live story; determining right from wrong and implementing those standards as laws to be enforced, or the ultimatum. Written off as insignificant like a stand alone tree waiting to die for the sake of being finished…..”what is the point?”. Swearing an oath to an unknown God to “tell the truth, nothing but the truth, so help me”. Complying with societies evolvement for the sake of harmony while it institutes the influence of a One World America, only, with multiple labels. Can you feel the desire to establish dominance? Intimidate by way of provoking to “fear” the one…that falls, alone. Evil says, “Now, I have control; their emotions are at my disposal, worship me!”. Again, Evil speaks, “The coin is my tact and their emotion…my desire.”. And once more, Evil utters, “How shall I groom this Wife of God’s Son for my pleasure, this, ‘mother of all living’ who stands alone?“.

God is the Canyon that provides shelter and a balanced environment for the Caddo Maple tree that signifies our creation is not alone; looking at our photo from Ben. As soon as we think ourselves to be something when we are nothing, we become vulnerable to the deception of not needing our shelter. When we are unlearned; undereducated about the way our emotional make-up is; leaves us without the shelter of God to protect our environment and for evil to achieve its’ purpose. Just as our countries are vulnerable to the seduction of sexy whispers to commit acts of violence…so too are we susceptible to the belief of correcting it, alone.

1 Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But each one must examine his own work, and then he will have reason for boasting in regard to himself alone, and not in regard to another. For each one will bear his own load. The one who is taught the word is to share all good things with the one who teaches him. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. 10 So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.”– Galatians 6:1-10

I pray we do not mistake knowing where our predator is and how to antidote the course of an evil nature, into good. As parents we either fail to appropriately educate our youth about their sexuality as they experience unfamiliar chemical processes within their bodies to practice self-control or shy away from it because our youth becomes blushed at finding out that we know, “what is going on”! This grievous failure as self-controlled mature adults carries over into prostitution, molestation, rape, murder, bestiality, lying, lawlessness, incarceration, suicide! WHERE IS OUR CARE?!! There are barriers, boundaries, and “SHELTER” for a reason! We need to educate and protect our youth! Also, on that same line of education and protection we need to immerse the love of God on the person or people that appears to be predators. But our predator does not come in the form of flesh and blood, but will use our flesh and blood to destroy and devour the lives around us to achieve its desire. We must master that! Let’s live in the balance of the God of our salvation in Jesus Christ!

A false balance is an abomination to the Lord,
But a just weight is His delight.
When pride comes, then comes dishonor,
But with the humble is wisdom. Proverbs 11:1-2

Unbelievers Transformation Process

Have we discovered the answer to the question of whether God took Enoch from his wife and children in the previous blog? It seems a bit contradictory if not only taken away from that which God joined together, but also from the consequence of tasting death like the rest of us. All have sinned, right? So why are we enduring the consequence of death rather than to continue on in life? Why doesn’t God just enlighten us to the truth about our need for salvation, then save us from death, and bring us to Himself explaining in the way we will understand without having to experience the process? Has anyone ever discovered the answers within the questions? Please consider predestined freewill and that God is not limited by the many words of mankind. We’ll come back to that.

Storm on the Plains

Those considering themselves to be without belief please reconsider. This blog pleads with you to set aside your foresight and just breathe as you read. Don’t become worried or anxious about anything and don’t think “the author is making the mistake of not practicing what is written”. It is time to meet our Creator so please introduce your soul to the Holy Spirit of God. God, I pray for the soul reading this prayer and ask that the Spirit of Your living Word be in the midst of this writing, amen.

It is not through grandiose words in prayer that manifest the proof of God. Prayer is acknowledging that you can’t physically fly or breathe underwater, and that God is not a Genie to expect a wish from. God is the living knowledge about all of creation with a holy desire for all of creation; life’s order, design, chaos, condition, wisdom, love, and eternality. And with every breath…..we breathe life, given by God. So by living in unbelief are we emotionally responding by that choice or is it safeguarding behind the delusion of innocence to divert from the truth about our existence. And then how would we approaprately correct that? Does that mean to become weak and surrender for correction, or, run in terror from the emotional aspect of life — knowing we are all loved by God. If loved by God, what does that mean? To recognize we are vulnerable and mean nothing without God. How do we identify with being a believer now from the purpose we resorted to before? What does it mean to be conditioned as a believing Christian?

To become consciously aware that we are loved by God puts us at a “Fight or Flight” response. We will either fight against vulnerability or run from it because we are “wild”. Compare it to breaking a horse from the wild. In order to ride and navigate a horse we must break the pattern of its’ wild nature, and form a respected bond. Hopefully this process lets the horse know….its needed for a higher purpose; which would go against its natural ability to be wild by nature. Does the horse ever consider the power it has against the person trying to break its’ assumed natural response to be wild? A horse could easily kill the person hoping to submit it. What if horses had the knowledge of people and decided to break people for the horses agenda (planet of the horses)? Anyway, hold that train of thought because that is exactly what the serpent did to deceive the woman in the garden. And also what caused Mankind to kill God. Not because Mankind is more powerful than God, but because of the command not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil didn’t apply to the (crafty) serpent. And without understanding being deceived, Mankind broke the command of their God given nature and killed the Son of God. To clothe Mankind with skin….something had to die. Our skin represents our sin and our sin represents our eternal condemnation and separation from God and that represents our death and death represents the dust of the ground and the dust of ground represents the condition of Mankind. Yet…God knew this…and we are living to witness His Infinite Glory and experience His Everlasting Love.

What happens when a child grows up to be an adult? There becomes a subtle nature and condition of, or to, superiority. A father figure and son figure are subconsciously aware of the alpha adult, but by nature the son has discovered his adulthood and puffs up with pride. Tangent — throw two sons the same age (good and evil) into the mix; one son submits to the aged father while the other decides to challenge the right to alpha. Although these two sons are the same age…the one that challenges the right to alpha is the older and evil because of the pride in thinking he had to earn or give up that right to become something he already was (or already had equal rights to with the father because the son is an adult).

If we are a son or daughter of God choosing not to believe the relationship we have to our Father….then we must be ready for marriage. Because we think ourselves adults capable of handling the worlds chaotic condition without help from our parents; societal orchestrating, national reasoning, vegetation and atmospheric conditioning….not to mention the rest of cosmos-ing. There is a reason for the name of Jesus as we know Him and it is not just because He died for the sins of Mankind; it is because He is the Husband of our faith—God in the form of Man (Son Jesus) resurrected Mankind to His Father giving us equality with Him as children of His reign. Through the name of Jesus we are bonding with our Creator to know Him as Father. Seeking to make sense of it all as children would ask of their parents; was I really created for “a higher purpose” (relationship) or does that mean “I’m submitting to a form of control and manipulation” once married?

The risk to continue in unbelief has eternal consequences. Compare it to a tattoo….what is chosen will leave an articulate scar on our body until we are dead and decayed. That is why the scars in Jesus were still there after His resurrection — those scars are me and you because God had chosen to love us before the foundation of the world and to the point of sending His Only Son in our place on that cross, to prove it. And so that leaves us with a choice….because these very moments will determine the fate of our individual eternity’s. Are you seeking after God for your answers? You are not alone.

UnBelievers Nature

Engineers:

Look how distinct nature is. Not everything is black and white as the law would depict, but look how the contrasts compliment each other. Is it not, too precious, to try and describe with words? So I encourage instead, to describe it by experience. Take time in silence and just … “feel” … the energy of nature.

21 Enoch lived sixty-five years, and became the father of Methuselah.22 Then Enoch walked with God three hundred years after he became the father of Methuselah, and he had other sons and daughters.23 So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.24 Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. Genesis 5:21-24

After syncing with nature. Think on this question based on the biblical verses above. Did God take Enoch from his wife … leaving her to tend to all their children, alone?

Unbelievers,

Since the previous blog, have we discovered truth that satisfies the soul? There is a reason and purpose to the nature of which we live. And as we stop in nature’s course, look to its ground in humility. Do you see our reflection? In it we will discover the majesty of God’s design. If you haven’t found a Bible or someone with a Bible. I encourage you to find one and look into the Word of God with us. Because we are going into the mystery of God together, and His Word does not return void. Watch.

The reason for the word “reflection” was not meant in the perception of looking at yourself through a mirror or “off” water. When we look at the dust of the ground and handle it between our fingers, we are experiencing our reflection. Because we were made from the dust and to dust we will return. We reflect death because of our unbelief and we experience danger; seeming threatened, because of our lack of faith. In the beginning God reassures us of the redemption from this mistake of disobedience and unbelief.

As we continue to look at our reflection. We remember when the enemy questioned us and the reason we became deceived? Remember when (we) Eve said, “From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat;but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.’”? Emphasize ontouch it“. Where did that addition come from? How is Eve an adequate helper to her husband if not permitted to touch the tree? This is all theoretical of course, but being a husband myself would understand the innate nature of Adam to condition the warning from God to protect his wife, “don’t even touch it”. However, I think that also left his wife vulnerable to believe that which was not of God or her husband. Remember, we have a God Who knows what He is doing. What did God tell man? God knew the time was coming for the fruit to be eaten because he orchestrated it knowing what that would mean!…Separation. Does that mean God orchestrated us to sin? No. The orchestration is God having seen all that He created as good, including the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Sin was made available, but not orchestrated for us to commit the act thereof. And; because God understood what we didn’t about sin, knew that we would experience it upon committing the act of believing the serpent of evil. However, thankfully we have an Awesome Husband (that sounds weird being a man, haha, but it makes sense) that is teaching us the way of truth! God knew and knows how to redeem us from that instance of an inevitable decision even to the present moment of sins course.

Man was called Adam, before God saw that it was not good for him to be alone and purposed to create his suitable helper. A male is incomplete without a female in the nature of creation. So then after God presented the female to the male; Man called her, Woman. And it wasn’t until after their mutual agreement of disobedience to consequences, that Adam called his wife’s name, Eve (mother of all living). Now although children were in the foresight of God to complete the Holy Family, that child was not yet born. But we are still talking creation here. Peering into the womb so-to-speak, of creation. Because man will “leave” his father and mother and cleave unto his wife. This is why there are two deaths, but that is for another time.

This creation process appears to relate as the beginning stages of spiritual maturity or material “puberty”? When the serpent presented Eve with a question; her belief was frail, fragile, and needed a man aka husband to step along side her, affirming her status and equality with him as having the power to shut that serpents mouth. She had the authority to tell that serpent to, “go to Hell!”. However, bear in mind the design of our Father. How can we understand the authority unless exercised? And how can we “discern” good from evil unless acquiring the “knowledge” of it. Remember, we are still His Bride! And no serpent is getting in the way of that! God is revealing His Nature; Who He is, to and for us! Preparing our wedding day! And the way He has done that…..is through His Only Son. This resembles the trinity; Father, Mother, Child! = Jesus! The Holy Spirit is preparing to present [us] the Holy Bride to our Holy Groom of faith! And this is an experience of eternal bliss or rather the anticipation for it! No different than a bride anticipating her wedding day! This is what we experience in respect to salvation.

…”Feel it?”…

UnBelievers Birth

One of Ben’s favorite quotes from his favorite photographer is “Sometimes I show up just when God is ready for someone to press the shutter” -Ansel Adams

There is so much biblical narration in that photo above it seems unreal. Wouldn’t do it justice not having it as the featured photo. Ooh.., but, to be! In the “lens”! Of a Photographer (we are (: )! Do we truly grasp the amount of hard work required to experience a photo like that? A lot. Now imagine the hard work of our “Master Designer” to set that moment up for Ben to take the shot, so we can experience that moment with him. Although, don’t know whether that compares, exactly, to a woman giving birth. But, lets go with it. It takes 9 months, for (what seems like a lifetime) of seriously painful moments to give birth to a masterpiece! From moments to years after, marveling, at the innocence of life. Then BOOM! The “Big Bang” reality check! In the midst of all that experience — there was a single moment where the umbilical cord was cut. And salvation is born! An unbelievers Genesis.

Engineers,

Lets begin. If this text is being read and understood by an unbeliever. The hope is to inspire the reason to believe. And then experience the revelation of a lifetime together! It’s time to cut the “unbiblical” cord.

Standard

Unbelievers,

There is no denying that the reader and writer have been conceived and born from the womb of a mother. And if that is something, even now, that you are trying to control whether or not to believe? Then your “author of this blog” is requesting a sit down “chess-game” conversation; only, permit me the first move. And my first move is So also it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living soul.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.“.

Before “creation” was born, imagine the “wisdom“ of God. The Spiritual Being of God as a Person without gender — “decided” to relate in nature according to design: male and female, light and darkness, good and evil, life and death. Our God, the Awesome Creator, is the very essence of life. And desired an innocent intimate “relationship” with creation hence “virgin” “woman” to “wife” and “glorified bride”. Imagine logic in the midst of desire; what that must mean, to “feel”, or have “emotion”, but without someone to experience that with. There is a risk of wrong doing, but God “counted” the “cost“. The cost must have meant there are “consequences”, but what was the price? To establish order out of chaos there must be consequences. And the price, well, the price is payed. Creation must be “given access” to choose whether to obey. Not manipulated or controlled to choose and obey. God’s Character is established, and has chosen for Himself the creation of which we exist. And therefore is dominant to that which already existed from Him {before the ladies hurl their “thought stones” – please keep reading – because male and female complete each other without status or question of equality}. Creation appears to be as the “helper” to our “Father“. However, it’s much more in-depth than that! It is the actuality of marriage! Also, that was not meant to be received as God needing help, but rather, “incomplete” without help.

Are you seeing where the “umbilical cord” of creation exists? The only unbiblical “cord” in all of Scripture came out of the mouth of the “serpent“. We were tested with a question and failed, miserably and literally! The imagery is this: the mother of all living is Eve, the likeness and image of Adam is God and the serpent is the umbilical cord of creation. Adam was the original “soul” mate of Eve, but where was his Spirit? Do you not hear the sound of God?

So then…what next? We encounter an “option”. Being like God and of His image leaves us at risk for “uncertainty“. How? There is consequence for — evil. What then is necessary for creation not to suffer the consequence of evil? Don’t make the same mistake twice! Creation was given what the Creator already had; life and the knowledge of it! For what reason? Because of Love. God is Love!!! And He designed it as you and I are experiencing it now! This life is but “milk” to learn and grow from. The solid food and eternal life is a relationship with the Word of God! It is finished! Completed in the Name of Jesus!

Disclaimer — I have a reputation of losing chess games. However, my aim is not ever to destroy my opponents kingdom. I always win because of the relationship built in the time we played. I love you so very much!
