Garden of Language

I invite you to the place where I feel most free!

A place where God is the limit. A place where you know me.

It will feel like a dream, but it is a reality.

A place where language is a garden of spirituality.

This place is untainted by the world in which you know. The world you wake up in day after day and adapt to compromise for the excuses and lies. Here you’ll discover the version of yourself suppressed in darkness for fear of the light in everyone’s eyes.

There is a sound of music that speaks not what you’d expect. It’s a song that sings every genre, there is nothing quite like it. It will play without ceasing, we do not cease to exist.

A language of complete expression, there is no void, only the reality of your personality.

What is your mood?

Are you glad or sad?

There is a reason, there is a cause, but only for a season because there is a God.

See, in this language, we are a living symphony.

The decisions we have are not choices we make, but are a rhythm to the beat of loves’ sake.

It doesn’t take hearing to experience the wave of vibrations from the sound of listening.

Are you listening?

Can you hear?

There are tears… but not fear!

Listen…

Listen…

God is near.

When you think of the Garden of Eden, I ask that you don’t only think of it as a place that once existed in the past. But think of it as a spiritual language that has been passed on from generation to generation for all to hear and know the language of life found in Jesus Christ.

Seeing The Future

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John, who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near.

Revelation 1:1-3

Number your days!

I think on what the Psalmist said and—I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Your doings; I muse on the work of Your hands (Psalm 143:5). The Psalmist could see and experience the journey of God and understand it in such a way that the future was seen. Moses prayed and requested; teach us to number our days, that we may present to You a heart of wisdom (Psalm 90:12). I’ve calculated the number of my days up to today and I’ve lived 11,781 days today (08/04/2020); well… that’s if I make it through today, Lord willing. My wife has lived 11,203 days. According to the CDC the average life expectancy is 28,689 days (78.6 years). Why is this important? As for the days of our life, they contain seventy years, Or if due to strength, eighty years, Yet their pride is but labor and sorrow; For soon it is gone and we fly away (Psalm 90:10). The truth is… we don’t have years to live, but days. And my question is… have you read the word of God and heard the testimony of truth?

What is truth?

This question is appropriate considering the time when Jesus was summoned before Pilate. Only it didn’t seem like a question then, but rather, mockery. Pilate *said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews and *said to them, “I find no guilt in Him (John 18:38). Pilate didn’t seem to understand that he was being manipulated by the power of his position given to him through the grace of God our Father to crucify the Son of God by an authority he thought he had (John 19:11). Pilate was a misguided “President” of his time because of what evil existed in the world through the hearts of men and women captivated by sin. Pilate was dictated by fear for his life whereas Jesus was dictated by the love of God, His Father; Jesus testified to the truth, and “Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” (John 18:37).

The truth is that we have a condition, and that condition is sin. Sin becomes manifest in death. Death is the last enemy to be abolished (1 Corinthians 15:26). We will either regard our lives to be without sin or we will regard our lives as dead in sin. If we regard our lives without sin we make Jesus out to be a liar: If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us (1 John 1:8). If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us (1 John 1:10). But if we regard ourselves as dead in sin… we are baptized in Jesus Christ. We, like the Psalmist, are looking ahead to the resurrection of the Christ, that He was neither abandoned to Hades, nor did His flesh suffer decay (Acts 2:31). You might think that I’m confused because David was looking ahead from the past to Christ whereas we are now looking back to Christ.

But I’m not confused because we are not looking back to Christ. We are looking ahead to the return of Christ. Therefore this saying went out among the brethren that that disciple would not die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but only, “If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you?”(John 21:23). The apostle John is the one who heard and saw the book of this prophecy (Revelation 22:8). And I hope you are reading and listening with me because…“Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done (Revelation 22:12).

Seeing the future!

When the people of God, Israel—at Pentecost heard the word of God preached—their hearts were pierced and asked the perfect question. “Brethren, what shall we do?” (Acts 2:37). And the apostle Peter said, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. “For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.” (Acts 2:38-39).

Weigh The Meaning Of Value In The Balance

QUESTIONING VALUE

I’ve been thinking A LOT about the significance of “value” for a few weeks now… “what does it mean? How is it defined? When I wake up and decide to drink some water, take in sustenance; I don’t naturally think to myself… “why am I doing this?”. I just do it. But thinking about it now, it feels as though I’m a slave to this…“value system. Things just don’t add up. “Is this our purpose in life?” Wake up and use the restroom, drink water, eat food, calculate your contribution to life and go to work. “Where is the value?”, I wonder. I’ve decided to detach myself from what I think the meaning of value is in the world and take on a different approach. “What if I choose to go to work without earning money?” The idea is to work as though I wasn’t going to receive a paycheck, that may sound stupid but in principle, it’s not. Money is not God, it is a necessary tool of prerogative for not offending the world governed by such a value system (as though it is God). Let me explain.

In the gospel according to Matthew 17:24-27; my understanding from research is that the temple tax collectors came to Capernaum and confronted Peter about Jesus paying the temple tax (that apart from the priests every Jew 20 years and above was required to pay) which is basically contributing to the upkeep of the temple (where God dwells). And seeing how Jesus and the apostles were not considered priests of the temple, they too were required to pay this tax according to the custom of old testament law. However, let’s investigate what Jesus says and does about this temple tax collection considering how Jesus is actually, the ultimate Priest. The power of the priest is found in virtue, not money. Observe…

24 When they came to Capernaum, those who collected the two-drachma tax came to Peter and said, “Does your teacher not pay the two-drachma tax?” 25 He *said, “Yes.” And when he came into the house, Jesus spoke to him first, saying, “What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth collect customs or poll-tax, from their sons or from strangers?” 26 When Peter said, “From strangers,” Jesus said to him, “Then the sons are exempt. 27 However, so that we do not offend them, go to the sea and throw in a hook, and take the first fish that comes up; and when you open its mouth, you will find a shekel. Take that and give it to them for you and Me.”

Now according to google and the coinmill converter, a shekel today is worth 0.29 cents of the United States Dollar. There is so much I want to dive into with this idea of currency, but what fascinates me presently is the measure of value exchange between the Israelite’s and their temple priests collecting this two-drachma tax at that time. According to my research—specifically amazing discoveries—in Exodus 30 and Numbers 3 we find the reason for this contribution to the temple.

11 The LORD also spoke to Moses, saying, 12 “When you take a census of the sons of Israel to number them, then each one of them shall give a ransom for himself to the LORD, when you number them, so that there will be no plague among them when you number them. 13 This is what everyone who is numbered shall give: half a shekel according to the shekel of the sanctuary (the shekel is twenty gerahs), half a shekel as a contribution to the LORD. 14 Everyone who is numbered, from twenty years old and over, shall give the contribution to the LORD.(Exodus 30:11-14)

44 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 45 “Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the sons of Israel and the cattle of the Levites. And the Levites shall be Mine; I am the LORD. 46 For the ransom of the 273 of the firstborn of the sons of Israel who are in excess beyond the Levites, 47 you shall take five shekels apiece, per head; you shall take them in terms of the shekel of the sanctuary (the shekel is twenty gerahs), 48 and give the money, the ransom of those who are in excess among them, to Aaron and to his sons.” (Numbers 3:44-48)

But why did Jesus make a point to question Peter about the collection of customs? Who are the kings of the earth? And why did Jesus say that the sons are exempt? It sounds to me like Jesus is clarifying a point for Peter to recall later. Are all Israelites exempt from such customs? The answer is yes, but it was not time for that answer to come into fruition yet. The next phrase from Jesus is of most importance because it gives revelation to the meaning of value. “However, so that we do not offend them…“, but why? Why not offend these collectors with the truth about the pointlessness of this contribution?

What Does Home Mean?

“”Can you hear me say, “I love you” from across the sea?””

Much like my friend Dallas Fluegel, I contain no musical talent but love how Dallas is contributing to the musical world by his website “The Unheard“! And through his vision am inspired to share in that contribution spreading the word to those unheard; ha, that rhymed! But in all seriousness… everyone, because the unheard need be heard much more!

I’ve been listening to the song Oslo by De Joie (Kaley Rutledge) and meditating on the question given by Dallas at the end of his article…

WHAT DOES HOME MEAN?

This song is beautiful! And you can read about it with the lyrics by clicking the link above in that question (“what does home mean?”)!

MY TAKE

As I listen to the song, I experience a mental simulation of myself walking along this shore of a sea or ocean. And as I’m walking along… I peer out across this vast expanse of water, incapable of seeing where the water meets the shore on the other side. I wonder to myself, “”can she hear me say, “I love you””.

I especially resonate with this idea of hope for home to know, “I love you”, while in the same verse communicating, “I’m wild and free”. Funny, because essentially that’s saying, “I’ll miss you, but don’t worry, trust me, I’m in good company.” I think there is this sense of security we have from home that gives us this ability to roam as though wild and free. And as you can see, Norway is a long way away from home.

I’ve never been to Norway, but have been to Germany. My grandma saw me off with a prayer and there I went, far from home on a mission trip to Weimar with my church at the time. I’m so impressed with how this song fits the description of feelings experienced at a particular stage in my life far from home, wild and free. But when I was there did my grandma hear me say, “I love you”, from across the sea? And, “don’t worry, trust me, I’m in good company.”

The meaning of home, for me, at that time, was my grandma. I was at a crossroads—a very difficult time in my life in my early to mid twenties. I was in a very broken place, vulnerable, but through unexpected events and immense amount of love and care from the God in my grandma… I found the meaning of home. I can hear God say from across the sea, “I love you”. And because I can hear it, my home is complete.

So now here I am away from home, not too far off from my twenties at 32, married to my beautiful wife, Laura. Saying from across the sea, “I love you”. And wonder… “can she hear me?”

To think on that causes me to feel something special. A metaphor with the potential to penetrate every soul with the sound of God. Because just like we tell home from across the sea (metaphorically), “I love you”. So too does God from across the other side of life because death will eventually be abolished. We can hear Him say, “I love you”. And we don’t have to worry, we can trust Him, because we are in good company.

You can know that you are in good company because of the seal of the Holy Spirit given by God through believing in Jesus Christ. When we make the personal decision to accept the Word of God as the truth that it is, we are claiming the gift of the Holy Spirit to seal our salvation from death and resurrect to life eternal by faith in the work of God. We are incapable of salvation apart from this help of the Holy Spirit to sanctify our souls from living amongst the enemy of God, that enemy is the dust of death.

That is why I believe we can feel a sense of security here on this side of eternity, wild and free in good company, because God is where our home is. Can you hear God say, “I love you”, from across the sea?

Can This Post Feed 5,000?

Featured photo: The Chosen  (Season 1 Episode 3)

Has there ever been a time in your life where you had food prepared and ready to go for work but woke up late? You just left it thinking by some hope of providence, you’ll get fed. And it just so happened the boss brought donuts just for you to have an excuse to break that diet and get through the work day!

Or perhaps there was a time in your life where food was expected, but not given? Your friends invite you over for steak, you get there… no steak. What the heck! Turns out no one really cared about your appetite, and the lack of consideration is quite discouraging so you plot to kill em all.

Not really. But still! Not only is that plot idea relevant to this post, It’s time for some new friends, don’t you think? because true friends will treat you like a king or queen. And this post is about to become your friend.

BECAUSE YOU ARE A KING QUEEN!

Alright friend, let me take you back in time! lets hit the rewind from A.D. 2020 to peer into the time of A.D. 27 through A.D. 34! Who and what are you thinking about when this history comes to mind? For me… it’s about Jesus and what he did!

There was a time in history that maybe you’ve heard of? An event where 5,000 people went hungry for food after watching and following a man capable of doing miraculous signs. They of course knew this man as Jesus of Nazareth, until this event nearly changed everything!

They didn’t have vehicles back then so Jesus walked to the other side of the Sea of Galilee (or Tiberias) up on this mountain, and there He sat down with His disciples. See now… Jesus knew these people needed to eat and had a plan to feed them, but how in the world was he about to feed 5,000?

Even his disciple Philip was like, yo, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them” to even receive a little. But the point of all this was to concern themselves for the people, to feel and have compassion for these people traveling to see and experience these miraculous signs that Jesus is doing.

The reason for these signs is much more than just proof that Jesus is the Messiah, but an expectation for the King of the Jews.

Now that the hearts of the disciples were focused on compassion for these people in response to Jesus’s’ prompting question, “Where are we to buy bread, so that these may eat?”. Thankfully one of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, *said to Him,  “There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are these for so many people?” That’s like me asking…

What is this post for so many people?

Jesus knew what he was about to do and how it was going to reveal to compel their idea to make Jesus the King of the Jews, but not for the reason the Jews anticipated… which was to deliver them from the oppression of Roman governance.

So as you can see, this “lad”… had a significant role to play in bringing the 5 loaves and 2 fish because it is through this selfless act of provision that the miracle of feeding 5,000 persuades the crowd to force Jesus into becoming the King that delivers them. But that is not the reason Jesus was to become King, do you know what that reason was?

You might want to sit down for this… considering that was the instruction of Jesus at that time for all these people, “Have the people sit down.”. Gaw… I love this, because in it we can recognizing the work of God! This act of communion bears so much meaning and symbolism to the body of Jesus being broken on the cross… but we’re getting ahead of ourselves.

Jesus is already the King, but desires these people, his inheritance, the chosen of God to share in His Kingship. Behold Israel! For salvation is from the Jews! But because these chosen people so strongly desired deliverance from Roman oppression, missed the reality of their own sin.

And so this Prophet who is to come into the world withdrew himself from these people to be alone on this mountain. He was like, “yo Pops, I need some new friends up in this house, these people aren’t cuttin-it”. No… of course he didn’t say that, it was more like, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you, for on Him the Father, God, has set His seal.”

So now here comes the question, “What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?”! Can you imagine eating your favorite donut without the side affects forever free, or how about a nice juicy steak for free whenever your appetite calls for it? I think that’s what these people had in mind, like yo…

FREE FOOD FOREVER!

But that wasn’t what Jesus was communicating and to their defense, they didn’t have a personal relationship with God through the seal of the Holy Spirit at that time to understand God intimately. That is what it meant to follow and believe in Jesus, to understand the heart and mind of God. But they just wanted the ability to have free food.

So then what is the answer to that question, “What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?” Well… it’s this, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.” It’s quite simple really, believe in Jesus Christ. If you do believe, you’ll find that breaking open your Bible to John chapter 6 is where your spiritual meal is waiting.

LET’S EAT! I’M FAMISHED!

Travel Back In Time And Discover The Beginning!

Right now I’m currently studying through Genesis for myself, but also with my wife and some friends. The idea is to philosophize about the deep things of God together and understand our relationship with God for salvation.

We live in some very confusing times, but my God is not an author of confusion. Now while that is fact, it does not negate the reality of our condition because obviously confusion is prevalent in our society.

However, I think by exploring the genesis of our condition (death) will bring enlightening evidence to a very important spiritual truth that calibrates our understanding.

So let’s begin.

In…(Genesis 3:1-5)…it says:

Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Indeed, has God said, ‘You shall not eat from any tree of the garden’?” The woman said to the serpent, “From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die. ’“The serpent said to the woman, “You surely will not die! For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.””

NASB

So this serpent made some pretty serious accusations and claims of which are lies and false because it turned out God was right, eating that fruit was the wage of death and is why God warned us not to eat it.

Now… the information from that passage presents a thought that need be taken as a grain of salt, because it’s just a thought, but it seems to me that God may have had a plan for the fruit to be eaten in due course, just not prematurely.

However, it also seems the serpent saw an opportunity to become evil incarnate by giving premature information that betrayed the trust of God for political gain, to remove God from His throne and be in that place itself.

Anyway those thoughts seemed to be reasonable, but of course don’t take anything of what I say as gospel, listen to God and learn from His Word for yourself. Apart from that…

Lets imagine a scientific concept!

A concept that resembles ‘the makeup and movement of a serpent that slithers’, a snake!

Now direct that concept to the night sky and see the stars, imagine how the fabric or our universe is like the scales of a serpent that slithers on the service of the ground. Only this serpent described is not moving on the surface of the ground, but rather is the very makeup and movement of our realm.

How?

Lets travel from the ‘here and now’ of our crazy year in 2020 (or whenever) to the edge of the cosmos where our universe started. We’ve theorized this concept as, “The Big Bang!”. And that is where we reach the head and tongue of this snake, our cosmic serpent that is slithering to it’s demise, “For wide is the gate and broad and easy to travel is the path that leads the way to destruction and eternal loss” (Matt.7:13).

As we put the science together, atheists will not deny the evidence that declares the glory of God throughout our cosmic reality. It’s stupid to think that the void of our expanse is without intelligent design. But the concern shouldn’t be about the evidence.

Rather, the more important concern should be about the relationship in which the evidence describes.

To reject the relationship in which sustains our existence is to be subject to a different relationship by accepting the voice that speaks out of turn, out of place, and receive it as gospel. The voice of our reality, a serpent.

That is what happened at the beginning when a sinful language came out from the mouth of a serpent to influence innocent ears with ideas about God that were untrue.

That is also why I think Jesus said, “18 …“I watched Satan fall from heaven like [a flash of] lightning.“, because of what our solar system, universe, is made of.

And so here we are at the beginning, right where the bible describes our diverge from the truth we once lived into our present state of death and destruction.

Now zoom in just before the woman eats the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, remember this woman is also the wife of the man that God created and warned also not to eat from that fruit.

From that point, hit the rewind; the woman does not eat the fruit, puts the fruit back on the tree; the woman is back inside the rib of her man; the man is alone without a woman to help him in the garden; the man is taken out of the garden to where he was first created.

We are now at the beginning of where God first thought to form man from out of the dust of the ground.

In…Genesis 2:4-8…it says:

This is the history of [the origin of] the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day [that is, days of creation] that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens— no shrub or plant of the field was yet in the earth, and no herb of the field had yet sprouted, for the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to cultivate the ground, but a mist (fog, dew, vapor) used to rise from the land and water the entire surface of the ground— then the Lord God formed [that is, created the body of] man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being [an individual complete in body and spirit]. And the Lord God planted a garden (oasis) in the east, in Eden (delight, land of happiness); and He put the man whom He had formed (created) there.

AMP

Think about what has happened before our wage of death that claims every soul in this reality!?

Think about how the man and woman live in a place of eternity without experiencing death!?

Think about what happened before God put the man in the garden of Eden!?

I’m excited to explore with you! Hope to see evidence of your reading this! And until next time…

Under Pressure | #7

In the movie “Passengers” a mechanic (Chris Pratt) and journalist (Jennifer Lawrence) are aboard a starship (and one of the best animated in my opinion) set out on routine course through space at 50% lightspeed to another planet-like Earth called Homestead II.

While in transit the starships’ shield takes on some serious pressure upon encountering what appeared to be a comet cloud.

The spacer you see above is an indicator of time intervals between segments of writing.

If you haven’t watched the movie between now (2020) and 2016, then I’m about to give you a unique perspective as you watch it for the first time. And if you have seen it, well… as you read what is typed jogs the memory and entices you to watch it again, you’ll also get a unique perspective as this post will come to mind.

5000 passengers are in their hibernation pods experiencing 120 years worth of animated dream-like state while traveling across space in an artificial intelligent and dare I say emotionally intelligent spacecraft. But upon a comet puncturing through the shield causing significant damage, of which the impossible happens, a “failsafe” hibernation pod’s ‘time chip’ fries…and wakes Jim (a mechanic) 90 years too early.

Imagine the concept. How is it any different than living aboard earth, the spacecraft you’re on right now? Onlyyyy… you share a dream with about 8 billion other passengers. And in this dream you wake up before 8 billion other people, realizing that… you’re alone. Everyone is as good as dead and there’s nothing you can do about it. Or is there?

After a year Jim is alone on this starship the pressure is weighing and desperation is calling. An idea emerges. Jim begins to investigate a hope and possibility of making the rest of his life meaningful, but at the risk of taking the meaning out of someone else’s life. So Jim kills everyone. Okay you got me, that was a joke. Just making sure you’re paying attention.

If you like what you’re reading, consider following our blog and I’ll see you in the next “Under Pressure” post where I’ll continue this life riveting concept.

Spiritual Insight | #17

The Lord has made everything for its own purpose, Even the wicked for the day of evil.

Proverbs 16
Do your motives reveal Jesus Christ?

To continue from my insight #16. The elements that make up our reality communicate options to possibilities. They also communicate our limitations. But what do the motives of our conclusions reveal about us? I wonder.

Ahhhhh… this aught to be interesting!

Right now I’m at work typing up this post. Let’s get right to the meat of it. Each of us are capable of judging to discern the nature of what is good and what is evil. So you be the judge and determine whether the motive of my decision to work on this post while on the clock, is justified.

Every moment spent typing this up is paid for: how do you feel and what do you think about that?

Lets investigate!

“Zero justification” may be the immediate response to the feeling of some. And if you’re my wife, then chances are you’re bias to the risk of what might happen upon the action found out and the discipline expected. “What if you’re fired?”. Which is a very logical and wise position. It goes to show genuine respect for the occupation at hand in honor of personal conviction by the Holy Spirit for that individual.

However, I’m of the belief that ones personal conviction about a given situation may differ than that of another’s in that same situation. And while they may differ, the consequence solely falls on the one taking the risk. Judge wisely. It is important to take into account what a person does with such information if their conviction is strong enough to act on by presenting the issue to necessary personnel (listen to wisdom).

[“Unless you’re a religious political risk-taking genius (or a lawyer)” then you’ll eat this up like steak and tators (considering what the news is reporting about our meat). Alright… now while you may excuse it for confidence and admittedly, it even felt good to write. It’s an unhealthy perspective, totally prideful and arrogantdon’t chalk that up to anything more than humor; motives like that consequence’ a fall so hard, you don’t wake up in freedom.]

My position also, is a bias one. The risk of someone’s eternal salvation; spiritual birth, growth, accountability and responsibility. Therefore, I’m motivated to the knowledge of the gospel by what little time is counting my days to write and do videography with this ministry.

This spiritual insight is about purpose.

I know what my job requires of me. So let me reassure the reader, I’m doing my duty. While my general orders may be confidential and proprietary, they are being accomplished. But did you not know that I must be about my Father’s business?

The real job of any believer is the salvation of souls by the power in the gospel of Jesus Christ preached.

Just as Jesus willfully took the risk of death by crucifixion I too will take the risk of losing my life to serve His Kingdom come. And I’ll do it with wisdom taught by His Spirit active in me presently. But will you hear the motive of His Name? Do you see Jesus Christ revealed in the motive of the cross in your own life… and mine?

Under Pressure | #6

I’ve been on a ‘social media fast’ from my phone. So I’m choosing to wait until I’m actually at the computer to discover notifications from new friends, friends, and family. The pressure is real when trying to manage time faithfully when the enticement of social media is beckoning.

But it’s worth it. Because if we’re not diligent, we can get sucked right into the vortex of time wasted by the convenience of social attention at our finger tips. It’s a difficult psychological adjustment because, the chemical effect by each expectant ‘buzz‘ or a ‘ding‘ is addictive.

It’s okay to be honest with ourselves when calculating how much time is spent where, and why, because healthy accountability is gold in our day and age of technology and connection. Don’t lose yourself amidst the chaos. No one owes anyone time. Don’t worry, the pressure is good.

UNDER PRESSURE

Spiritual Insight | #16

All the ways of a man are clean in his own sight, But the Lord weighs the motives.

Proverbs 16

Have you ever woke up feeling… weird? Like… spiritually weird? I did, and can’t figure out why, or what is going on. SO! Thought it appropriate to write about and see what we find out.

At first I had this nagging question in my mind, “Was it the wine?…”. And although the ‘fruit of the vine’ does play some affect, it doesn’t satisfy to answer.

I work days and nights to which my sleep schedule is a little “loopy” (crazy) at times. And that also plays a role in this weird spiritual feeling, but again, it doesn’t satisfy.

I didn’t intend to write a blog post this early morning because my MOTIVE was to sleep through the night to be ready for work today, but it appears my Lord has weighed that motive and so here I am.

When I wrote my previous insight, I told myself that I’d “continue in the proverbs”. But was it me that told myself that, or…. was it instructed to and for, me? I wonder. The above paragraph is in bold because it communicates a direction to an answer that satisfies.

Time for some music, and I’d like some coffee but don’t want to get up… because… I’m naked. ….huhhhh…. Whatever, I’m getting some coffee. (Don’t worry, I got dressed).

I’ve been meditating on the procedure of mercy, grace, and faith as elements of God given to humankind for understanding salvation communicated by the gospel, and…. let me tell you, the experience is extraordinarily awesome!

My heart feels for the people unbelieving the gospel preached to all creation. Not because I don’t share in the sins of this world, but because the unbelievers would prefer to identify themselves with the sin of their choosing over their trust in Christ.

My soul experiences the same consequence of condemnation as the person in a jail cell for life. I pray the wisdom of conviction within is heard and understood by the unbelieving, because we’re forgiven by what Jesus did on the cross.

My mind perceives the inspiration of scripture written in my flesh by the reality of its’ decaying. There is no excuse for what I’m incapable of changing, be it sin. Therefore it’s only logical to express the need for HELP, unbeliever.

My strength calls out in weakness because you, unbeliever, are Christ’s mission. If the gospel does not speak to me then T4P means nothing and sin is my cure, but because the gospel does in fact speak. I will help build with eager preaching, your tent.

I’ve questioned how, exactly, does salvation work in the conversion of some but not others? I feel like that question is important to an extreme, so let me make it special.

How does salvation work in the conversion of some but not others?

As I study about the temptations of Christ (which I’m anxious to get finished and posted), learn about spiritual consultation between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus, although not born of the seed of man, is still very much a man being tested by the sin of man. That is what and who I believe the devil is representing (sin of man) when tempting the qualifications of the Son of God. Because mankind is on a course of complete unrighteousness under the governance of spiritual evil, ergo the ‘devil of time’ is suspect.

However, because Jesus is completely righteous, mankind is left without excuse to the truth of who governs good. Jesus represents the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in the sin cursed flesh of man. This is why no person is capable of conversion apart from the faith of Christ Jesus. And no I don’t mean faith of myself, or you, reader, but faith of Jesus.

Jesus is the Person of God revealed. God is a Person that qualifies as the sources of elements which convert a sin cursed devil (mankind) to a righteous holy saint (mankind). This is possible by the faith of Jesus given as a gift of good news (gospel) for all creation to hear. But this begs the question. Is the Person of God bound to convert a person that does not truly believe in Jesus? Although professing to be christian.

What choice do we have?

For me, the most effective way of answering this question is observing the person of Judas Iscariot (one of Jesus’ chosen apostles). I believe the gospel is revealing the desire of God for all to be saved, but that not all will accept it for reasons entrusted to a Holy God for judgement.> Please investigate the scriptures for yourself if you disagree with me and share your concerns.

I do not believe God’s desire is for repentant robots, meaning to control the elements of a people He created against their will because of His power to do so. Rather… I believe God’s desire is for you to choose to trust Him, because if you don’t, the reality is unrighteousness doomed by the choosing of elements sinister by nature.

In other words I believe there is a scientific explanation of convertible energy that defines information which holds a person accountable to their will (choice), and is ultimately judged by the truth manifest and revealed by our motives before a Holy God.

Do your motives reveal Jesus Christ?

Commit your works to the Lord And your plans will be established.

Proverbs 16

I love thunderstorms! I hear its sound and see its magnificence approaching through the window and must leave my typing to go outside and experience it… I appreciate how a thunderstorm displays the majesty of God. Not that I woke up to, but it’s a pleasant feeling when waking up to a subtle thunder and flashes of lightning, grace filled rain fall. …Awww… think of the smell of rain, love that smell!

During work at (T4P) this morning I’ve come to realize my project on ‘The Temptation‘ is taking much more time than I’d like to commit to, honestly, but the spiritual journey due to the commitment is so very rewarding.

The proverbs ring true at this insight, I’ve committed my work to the Lord and plan to have published work for my readers to read this morning. Imagine coffee in hand, bible at my side and in my heart, journal before me to record this process, and finally, ear buds in my ears to hear scripture rapped by Shai Linne.

There is a divine experience when the work of the Heavenly Kingdom is in the work of my fingers to type each word signifying the gospel manifest in the saving work of the Holy Spirit in my life to hope for my readers salvation in Christ. That is the spiritual insight of this post—that the word of the Kingdom of God is evident in this work of my commitment to Jesus Christ, and the work is also available to you.

How do you use your time to commit to Jesus Christ?

I would genuinely like to know how you apply that proverb in your life. You can tell me in a comment or maybe I’ll watch and read about it sometime somewhere, Lord willing.

I’m deeply encouraged by my bothers and sisters in Christ (in my life personally) already applying this principle to their life. It’s so AWESOME!

I so strongly desire to spend time with many of my fellow brothers and sisters in the faith while struggle in that same desire by the cost of time; it’s possible I’ve failed to communicate my priorities to several of my friends that desire time, there is no excuse but to continue in my work of the cross by this (T4P) site.

But I pray that any friend reading the above paragraph does not think that all my time goes into isolating myself behind a screen to do this work. It’s doesn’t. Let me explain. I’ve committed myself to a select few in life under the stewardship of Watermark Community Church to help govern my life in the counsel of scripture by God through Jesus Christ in the Holy Spirit.

I’m on active mission with these select few in honor of the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ to cultivate the birth of salvation in those lost by our world of sin, yet hopefully found by the hearts behind this site pointing to His MERCY, GRACE, and FORGIVENESS.

The sacrifice is real!

I think the most difficult aspect of my faith is navigating time with my fellow believers appropriately. But not only them.

Biological family is also demanding when it comes to desired time spent, not a bad thing, it’s only natural because of endearment. But here come why it’s difficult.

Expectations!

I expect, you expect, they expect, we all expect! Expectations have such potential to cause unnecessary consequence, pain and hurt due to the sin of idolatry. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

Lord willing… We’ll have eternity together! I love you!

God speed.

Timer Set!

It’s frustrating when you’ve committed to a project that gets interrupted by unpredictable events. But it’s exceedingly peaceful when the intended labor is put to rest by those events to accomplish a different purpose during the time of interruption.

Although the timer be set, the pressure of this post is not in the time but in what need be communicated. While you’re vision is limited in what is typed, it’s unlimited by the right of your choice to choose what to do about the information given.

I found this exercise I’m about to share interesting because of how its potential is to alter my reader’s lifestyleas it’s altering mine.

Have you asked yourself whether you would follow the person that you are right now?

There is a lot to unpack in that question; because it pertains to much more than how you look in the mirror, but what you know about who you are.

As I think about that question for myself, I wonder whether my reader will relate.

I think about where I’ve been weak and vulnerable in my life and how that sin of lust enticed me to decisions unworthy of forgiveness upon asking the people that may still hold resentment or bitterness in their heart against me.

I think about how I claimed Christianity without understanding conviction of the Holy Spirit upon my believing to be Christian… because my heart was filled with brainwashed sickness of self-righteous pride and passive arrogance. I thought I knew truth enough to teach it.

WOULD I FOLLOW MYSELF?

When I get up from my seat of typing this post right now and turn to look at the empty seat where I sat…

Now back in my seat to type, I stop and look at where I stood…

Thinking about the man standing, would follow the hunger and thirst after the purpose of the truth of Christ in the person of Nathan.

But let me tell you what I would not follow after in the person of Nathan. I would not follow after the ‘sin type of lost‘ aspects; even though I proclaim the Kingdom of God, the gospel of my (and yours if you believe) Lord Jesus to this world, does not mean the temptation of sin that condemns me is not present with me.

I give thanks and praise to God for the salvation found in me because I’ve been found by Christ and will live to serve Him with all that I am.

Although sin is present with me, it is my belief and faith in Jesus that produces life altering changes with the capacity to resist certain temptations which test me for overcoming what seems to be impossible.

  • Acting out in lust after sex without respect of consequence which teaches us against such perversion.
    • Reacting in arrogance to success as though attained without God to bless by giving or taking away.
      • Eating in gluttony by luxury or worry because gaining the world is more important to life than dying to live with Christ.

Change starts by believing in the Spirit given by God to change your life.

Timer set!

So why am I doing this ‘Under Pressure’ challenge?

Because I’m self-aware, and when my mind is idle it tends to venture off into vulnerable places that influence poor choices to consequential decisions. And in my line of work that won’t fly. But not only that!

There is so much temptation as it is that this world has to offer it’s difficult to practice the spiritual fruit of self-control. When certain ecstasies are experienced in life… my soul then begins to crave those experiences over and over again, inevitable to the destruction of my life and others with me by submitting to the idleness of my mind and desires of my flesh.

When the forgiveness of sins are received and experience in my soul through the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, it proves the reality of a converted person that died to sin and lives in Christ. However, if you witnessed my heart and mind continue to entertain thoughts contrary to my faith in the will of God, would you trust the truth of my convictions that point to the Word of God? No. At least.. I would hope not.

This challenge will put your convictions to the test and help prepare your heart and mind to endure the burning passion of lust and pride within this world of sin that we all experience together. I am approaching YOU, reader, in the ring of your life. Will you be ready to stand the test?

Are you prepared to beat me in a spiritual sparing match?

The timer is set!

Under an hour inspiration, at your service.

Putting myself under pressure causes me to operate on a different wave length. I like it.

With that said, I encourage you, reader, to apply the technique on yourself. Put a time restraint on yourself for a what needs completed in that time and GET TO IT, get to work. I think you’ll surprise yourself when applying this strategy to your life, because we tend to get complacent and procrastinate necessary production for completing projects.

Steps to strategy!

  1. Set Timer
  2. Stay Focused
  3. Stop and Publish

It’s really that simple. And you’ll be surprised at what you get finished, feeling accomplished because you took this strategy to heart.

Now about the “Stop and Publish”, this is an example to publishing an article you’re inspired to complete within in an hour. But take out of the example, the core value.

The core value is…

Production

Whatever it is you need to accomplish, set the timer, and get to work. It doesn’t matter what it is. And if you get that project finished, be satisfied and move on to the next task at hand.

If you do not get the project finished within that hour, then take a break from it as it may not be time for it to be completed for reasons beyond the understanding; taking your mind off of the project to accomplish a different task may aid in that previous projects’ completion.

Don’t get stressed, that is not purpose of this strategy. If you are getting stressed, then you’re putting to much obsession to something that should not have control over your attitude. Keep your heart and mind sober, respect the project and reason you’re working on it.

The time is set! The pressure is on! I have under and hour to write this blog and it will become a practice. I’m an ambitious person, but not to accomplish success by how this world interprets that meaning.

What does it mean to become successful in our world?

I think it’s a fair assessment to communicate that people with acquired academics and managing monopolies are deemed successful people. To which I would agree only in part, because there is truth in that understanding. But the real achievement to success is the work accomplished in the human soul.

I don’t have long, let me kick some music on…

If you’re reading this, chances are you’re capable of achieving a PhD and owning your own business or businesses, but in the end you’ll have communicated the order of events and determined focus to achieving what any person can achieve if they put all their heart in it! Literally bleeding what they believe to achieve.

But did you credit and share the God who gifted you with the determination to accomplish what you so determined?

If not, then you didn’t achieve success nor accomplish anything apart from your selfish endeavors that, now, the world will feed on.

What does it mean to gain the world, if what you’ll lose is the opportunity to save souls?

I hear children cussing up storms about what they don’t understand because of the human responsibility to cultivate the ground in order to produce God fearing children. I say “cultivate the ground” to mean cultivating the hearts of our children that are being abused by this world’s interpretation of success, perverting success to mean pornography, cocaine, and this or that monopoly!

When real success is understanding the Word of God available to save the abandoned and unloved soul. No! God didn’t abandon us, we abandoned God, and then expect God to be bound by our terms.

“If you loved me, then…”

“Why is there evil, why did this happen, where were you…”

“I’ll live my life a good person, and if that isn’t good enough, so be it..”

We are a people so arrogant it sickens me because I hear it in the mouth of innocent children mimicking the perverted education of this world… of sin. So… I’ll leave it here…

When will you turn from the sin of your selfish ambition to success and cultivate the ground of your own heart in the Word of God for the purpose of saving the human soul?

The Temptation | #1

will you stand the test?

It was 4:18pm here in Dallas, TX—on good Friday 2020 when I started working on this post. At that same time, it was 12:18am across the world in Jerusalem, Israel. Why is that significant? As each moment past, I think about Christ and the meaning of His cross…to crucifixion; and how my sin weighed on His conscience. The spiritual significance is about the reality of eternity; reality is, I’m unworthy of such a calling to eternity as described in the body and blood of the Word of God; it’s… bearing, and the weight, it’s… heavy!

Every moment of grace and mercy in our lives is an opportunity to a choice of faith. But will you stand the test of faith?

PROVING THE SON OF GOD.

1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

Matthew 4:1

No person had stood the test of proving the invisible God, visible, until you’ve met this man: Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. What I find so interesting, is that the Spirit led Jesus to be tempted by the devil. Why? I have here open my Ryrie Study Bible; And in his commentary, Ryrie wrote:

4:1 Satan’s intention in the temptation was to make Christ sin so as to thwart God’s plan for man’s redemption by disqualifying the Savior.

The Shadow Of Death

†The Shadow Of Death†

Why do we die? What happens when we die? Wait, soooo…two people have not experienced death? Did we die at the beginning of mankind?

I take for granted this “blip” of life given me by God. It’s been quite a convicting ongoing study of death, key in on the “ongoing” because there are so many testimonials of this experience that it’s difficult not to get lost in confusion and fear of the unknown, to the point of just … giving up.

It is also difficult when finding the answer of consequence in relation to those not believing in Jesus Christ (The Word of God) to be that they are destroyed in hell. To think about someone you love so deeply being in such a place. It just doesn’t seem plausible that a loving God would do that. The experience that surrounds the event of death can cause many to question their faith, or understanding of life, it’s traumatic.

From my search and study in Genesis of the Bible found that I die because of the warning “…for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.” I live in a “garment of skin” that testifies to the ground from which my father (Adam) was created; this ground I walk on, the dust that I am and will eventually return to, is cursed. Because the curse consequently … is death.

But that’s not the end.

The reason I believe Adam didn’t die as expectantly was because of the length of time that concludes 1 day. Adam lived to be nearly 1000 years old after the consequence of his sin, but it says that God warned “…for in the day…” so what happened? Why didn’t he die in that day? And why don’t we die in a day?

The apostle Peter of Jesus Christ enlightens me to this truth “that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.” so that explains the reason why Adam didn’t just die as expectantly. These forms of enlightenment are all throughout scripture.

Please don’t do yourself a disservice not to at least consider trusting God with your time in His Word to help you through very hard and difficult times and questions.

Ultimately my Lord God and Father in Heaven is sovereign in how life is governed. I can only hope that those who’ve heard or are hearing this gospel will believe in it’s message. Because the message will give warning and reward. To believe means you bear responsibility to the preaching of this Word that confirms your eternal salvation. To do so means to love, not only your family, but the entire world. Because my Lord and Savior did not die in vain, but so that the world might be saved through Him. The gift of the Holy Spirit that records your name in heaven is the reward.

I pray you will trust in the providence of God. Because none are without excuse, even the dead have heard and are hearing the gospel.

LIVE

In love,

Nathan Dooley

P.S. Tell me who the “two people” are that have not experienced death.

Broken | Coffee Cup

Went to wash my coffee cup and it slipped right out of my hand with a failed attempt to hackysack that sucker. Boom! Broken. It’s interesting though, how that reflects me. I’m broken. Are you broken? I need some coffee…oh wait. That’s alright, I have the coffee cup my grandma gave me.

How am I broken?

I’m broken by the reality of sin. I understand my condition, prone to selfishness. my body is descending to a place of death. But why? And what does that mean? Being equipped with the Holy Spirit inspires to enlighten me with the truth.

I recognize that the condition of my body represents the decaying matter of my soul passed on through Adam and Eve at the time of their deception and disobedience. The ground from which man was made is cursed because Adam listened to his wife by eating the fruit he knew not to eat.

The fruit Eve and Adam ate of was from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. So we now possess the knowledge of good and evil understanding our guilt and just judgement of God.

↓But why didn’t we die?

The human intelligence has evolved to the point of creating simulations of ourselves with the intention of birthing an artificial soul or souls that can feel, think, and relate for it/themselves without human involvement; we will build a beast, the beast of revelation (mission complete). What next? The point is we want to determine for ourselves our time of death or to avoid the experience altogether.

↑We didn’t die because we don’t determine our time of death. God does. God created us. We didn’t create God. There is a time of death I pray the person reading this will not experience, but it is determined by God. Don’t try and say you weren’t warned.

Would you like to know when that time of death is that God determines? Me to, join the club, but we are given signs of the times to watch for. Pay close attention, because the time is near.

Although in process of sanctification…

I’m broken.

In love,

Nathan Dooley

Grandma

The Difference Between A Relationship And Religion

I was talking with a guy here recently about life. A military man. This guy has quite the story, a lot I can relate and not relate to, been through more than most in a short period of time being in his early thirties. It’s no wonder the reason he questions his relationship to God. He believes there is something, a higher power; but the God of the Bible and Christianity, not buying it or any other gods/god of the many facets to other religions.

Did you know that anger can be a religion?

How about a sport like soccer?

Even the military?

I resonate especially with the first two “anger” and “soccer”. But now, my religion, is my grandma. That might seem weird, but I’m telling you, only if you knew my grandma would you understand. This woman believes in visiting the orphans and widows in their †distress, that is literally her job as a caregiver at 77 (nearly 78) years old. I’ve seen my small but strong and wise grandma lift and guide an older gentlemen from his seat to the wheelchair and help people in their distress over and over again.

I’ve witnessed how this woman (my grandma) has loved a family that has rejected her time and time again. My grandma has slept outside in her cold car because she was unwelcome by family only to come back and love again and again. How… do… you… do… that? I’ve heard and seen the treatment, the abuse, she’s endured for the sake of Who she believes in and yet with humility sharing only her mistakes without blaming anyone else. She was told where to sit and what to do if she wanted to see her grand kids and guess what…she did. Writing this infuriates me, yet remembering, “Nathan, Nathan, how I was treated doesn’t matter…” are you kidding me!

My grandma is the type that might scold me for this praise but you’re reading a result of her labor in the Lord her God and I’ll scream aloud “Jesus Christ is Lord!” Because no navy seal can compare to my grandma, bring it! Just kidding, don’t hurt me. The point is religion is a religious practice of what you believe. And my grandma practiced hard with her Bible not only in hand or by word, but her actions. It’s true there are a lot of religions that provoke a lot of questions and demand certain practices, but that is the reason I labor for the preaching of the gospel to all nations.

Because religion to the gospel is defined by visiting the orphans and widows in their distress while being unstained by the world. It is not putting yourself in chains as though you can’t have fun or enjoy life. But it is respecting the true God of your soul and having a relationship with Him every moment of every day. I’m not saying you can’t have a drink of alcohol unless it’s to your destruction (abuse it—then don’t drink it). I’m not saying don’t have a cigarette or cigar, maybe even marijuana depending on where you live, but not to your destruction (addicted—then don’t smoke it).

You might be convinced you’re unable to break a bad habit, but respectfully, you’re wrong. That is like saying, “I won’t stop cheating on my wife because I’m unable, I’ll get cranky, so wheres my porn at!” We all have the ability but lack the discipline because we’re given over to not caring, “who cares”. The One Who created us cares, God didn’t create an experience (sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll) to be abused or take control of you. Have an experience in moderation and respect of wisdom and honor. Now that … is quite a thrill!

Don’t make a religion your excuse not to believe in this gospel being preached to you. We need more Christians speaking, writing, videoing the essential of the gospel of Jesus Christ; Not speaking, writing, videoing my/their personal preference, expectation, or standard of life change—the Holy Spirit of God that convicts every believer will do that work of salvation, justification, and sanctification. We are just providential agents.

I love you Grandma,

Nathan Dooley

The Testing Of Your Faith

What use is it, if someone says they have faith but no works? Can that faith save them? If a person is without clothing and in need of food, and you say to them, “Go in peace, be covered and filled,” yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that? (James 2:14-16). Is there a person in your life that is without clothing (help) and in need of something to eat (spiritual food)? Are you that person?

I’m going to use the figurative language of “clothing” and “food” to *self-control* and *wisdom* for my case. Because I do not know and will not presume to know what help you need without learning your heart (so feel invited to reach out to me). But learning of my embarrassment might help you. It’s embarrassing, as well it should be, to confess my recent lack of self-control to my wife and brothers in Christ. It wasn’t that I’d looked at pornography or sought anything out to feed this duress of orgasmic relief. But to keep it “C” rated, Christian rated. I uhhh, “choked the chicken” if you will, and the chicken liked it. I know, deranged, I agree. But the heart of my issue is a relationship between respect and worship.

I say that my faith is in Jesus Christ. So why then am I still given over to these lustful temptations? Why hasn’t the Holy Spirit removed the struggle of sin from my life?

My struggle of respect is subcategory to the root issue of pride. I think to myself, “now that the Holy Spirit lives within me I’ve overcome sin.” Give special attention to the I’ve of that thought process. Now … because I was given over to the lust of my heart being a christian can handle it one of two ways. Get frustrated enough to say, “Sense I’m unable to resist the urge; I must not be saved, and or am stepping away from faith for now.” (John 6:66) (confused about the power of faith) or “I’m a sinner saved by grace through faith, it’s not of myself, but is the gift of God.” (Ephesians 2:8-9) and confess it for healing (knocked down, but it’s not over, let’s do this). Share this post if you know someone that can relate to this because they’re not alone. We are in this fight together in Christ.

“Examine me, O Lord, and try me; Test my mind and my heart.”

Psalm 26:2

I don’t want to be like the disciples that walked away just because the testing of their faith was hard (John 6:66). This will be hard to hear because it’s hard to ask, but in love. Are you a coward? Am I a coward? Let’s brow beat about it! Listen, only your friends are going to tell you what you need to hear and I want to be your friend even if you don’t like me. Believe me, I don’t like myself a lot of the time. I mean…my poor wife (I love you honey). I digress.

It is especially difficult to recognize the “clothing” *self-control* I need if I don’t respect anyone telling me where I’m wrong or allow them to help me let alone the Lord my God and Father in Heaven by the power of His Spirit in the Word of His Son—the gospel. It is a hard HIT to my pride when I think I’ve overcome sin that I never overcame nor will ever overcome MYSELF.

This is the GIFT and LOVE of God; that He gave the ONLY ONE capable of overcoming sin, and it took DYING for it to be overcome.

Just because I was baptized in reflection of the death of Christ does not qualify me as having overcome sin (as though I did it myself). It means that I recognize that I’m not capable of overcoming sin (which brings me to the point of death saying “I’m a sinner” in need of saving from this death) and will always NEED the spiritual food {bread and wine} of JESUS CHRIST {blood and body} which is eternal salvation for my soul (Holy Spirit inspired Word of God). That is why I rejoice in these trials and tribulations even when I miss the mark because Christ my Lord DID NOT MISS THE MARK!

I mean … writing this gets me pumped up and ready for war like the appearance of God just showed up having eyes a flame of fire clothes dipped in blood and His name called The Word of God that strikes down the beast and kings of the earth and their armies assembled to make war against the KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS! (Revelation 19). So…

…don’t let sin convince you of your worth to God, you are tested because you are worthy of His love.

I encourage you as a brother of the faith in Jesus Christ, you’re not alone and we need each other. Read Hebrews chapter 12! My (food) *wisdom* is found there. But here is a piece of it—

“4 You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin; and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons,

My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord,
Nor faint when you are reproved by Him;
For those whom the Lord loves He disciplines,
And He scourges every son whom He receives.”

It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline?”

Also, the action steps I’ve taken to go to war against the present duress of sin is memorizing:

If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us. (1 John 1:6-10)

Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother. (1 John 3:7-10)

I Don’t Follow Jesus

I Don’t Follow Jesus

“What!? No.” I know what you’re thinking, but I’m not trolling you. And remember, even though I don’t follow Jesus … keep loving people like He did and treat them as you want to be treated. Don’t try and scroll down to see what my aim is here. Does it surprise you? I mean…

I think John L. Cooper said it best—

“More and more of our outspoken leaders or influencers who were once “faces” of the faith are falling away. And at the same time they are being very vocal and bold about it.” (link)

And it only makes sense according to the Christian Post—

“Back in the 1930s, only 5% of Americans did not identify with any religion. In 1990 that number had risen to 8%, a modest increase after more than half a century.

But these last years have brought a dramatic change. By 2008, the number of Americans not identifying with any religion had risen to 12%, and by 2012, it had risen to 20%, with the number among millennials around 30%.” (link)

So this should not come as a surprise to you if it does. Especially if you’ve read how dark my previous post was. I mean, come on. I’ve been in the pits of unquenchable fire and suffering. I guess now the question is whether I truly EVER followed after Jesus? Some might think that my believing was in vain and only wanted something to gain. That I NEVER truly believed.

I would disagree and counter you misunderstand the enlightenment of your own faith or have not been enlightened to the truth of the gospel altogether. Just because you read that I don’t follow after Jesus does not mean that I wasn’t enlightened by the truth of the gospel, see I still know the truth and that is what should make this statement alarming.

The real question is—

Can the person turned away from their faith in Christ re-enter the Christian faith?

Sense we are talking about me because I’m selfish. The answer to that question for me is “no” because in my case I’ve confessed to taste the heavenly gift that made me a partaker of the Holy Spirit. So it is impossible for me to be renewed again to repentance since I again crucify to myself the Son of God and put Him to open shame. Don’t believe me, check out Hebrews chapter 6 in your Bible.

It is the Holy Spirit through the inspired words of the Bible that speak with authority … I’m just a messenger.

That is what happened to Judas Iscariot. Judas held onto his thievery at heart, did not confess this sin. To do this leaves the “believer” (by association) in this case, Judas Iscariot, vulnerable to Satan’s influence (John 12:4-6) and ultimate possession. This is why it is so important for professing Christians to not sell their soul for the cost of their sin not confessed.

38 John said to Him, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us.” 39 But Jesus said, “Do not hinder him, for there is no one who will perform a miracle in My name, and be able soon afterward to speak evil of Me. 40 For he who is not against us is for us. 41 For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because of your name as followers of Christ, truly I say to you, he will not lose his reward. (Mark 9)

49 John answered and said, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name; and we tried to prevent him because he does not follow along with us.” 50 But Jesus said to him, “Do not hinder him; for he who is not against you is ]for you.” (Luke 9)

I’ll confess that I used this title to especially peak the interest of those who thought they knew me to catch them like a fish. Because it’s the kind of friend I am, it’s what I do, that’s my humor and getting a rise out of my friends is quite fun, I admit. Not with the intention of destruction of course, then there would be an issue.

I wasn’t lying about not following Jesus, but I do follow after Jesus with all my heart, soul, strength, and mind. So brothers and sisters in the faith, don’t hinder me just because I’m not following after the style of gospel in you. Don’t hinder me just because you think there are enough christian resources out there for me to get plugged into one without having to startup a recourse of my own. Don’t hinder me…

In Love.

Divided

Divided

It’s sad to reach a point in life when the thought of hell seems much more appealing than to remain in the skin of your flesh. When the thought of escape is your only option, but are petrified. When a call for help is not meant for saving.

I don’t hate my life. But that unreliable feeling of hate sure is poking and prodding. What I hate is being divided by the questions and doubts of people that presume to know me when they don’t have a clue; there is just not enough time in the world to be completely free with people that choose not to believe they can trust you unless you adhere to their “divine” perception for you, then they might believe. As long as you stay within their realm of interpretation and perception.

It’s incredible the amount of attention you will draw to demons when living for your faith “Jesus as Lord” by recognizing sin for what it is and how I’m in desperate need of salvation. It’s incredible the sirens and temptations in place just for you. It’s a constant crouching (Genesis 4:7):

“Those people see you as a tyrant. That woman wants you. That man desires you. Do this to get rich. Say that to make a difference. You’re a sexy beast, well endowed, who can resist. It feels good to be right. It feels good to have power. You’re a liar. You’re a fraud, poser, fake, and the list goes on because you’re unworthy. Don’t waste my time. You have our undivided attention. Look at him, he is better than you in every way. You’re smart and beautiful, but ugly and stupid too. I feel depressed. You’re unstable, unfit, unqualified. Here is your kingdom of heaven! No, there it is!”

I ask myself, “why is this happening?” But it only makes sense. Because…demons are taking the time the world does not have to get to know you and me. Whether the world or I want to believe that or not, the truth sets us free. I hate this spiritual war that divides my soul and blood into pieces as bread for demons and wine for their minions. If you are a believer in the gospel of Jesus Christ, you’ll understand this war, but if not then I hope this will prick at your conscience because you’re held captive thinking you’re free.

They are clever. The devil and his demons … but I see them. And they know that I see them. “It’s a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:31). I’m in hell learning the tips and tricks of insanity navigating my way through the crowd in hope to save some if not all, “have you heard…“.

It’s sad…

I’ll Brow Kick You In The Face

I’ll Brow Kick You In The Face

Yeah, that’s right, you heard me…

I'll Brow Kick You In The Face

Right in the face. Marky Mark taught me that.

Man…wow, I let myself go there; It’s like, clean up your face or something before you just brow beat up the online world!

I’m learning a lot about this blog stuff. It’s important to stay consistent on posting. So here is one on why we need to be mindful of our facial expressions and upkeep. I mean look at that! I disgust myself! Although it is proving useful for some humor!

I have a time limit, so here we go!

Sometimes we can get so caught up in our emotions that we don’t even realize how our faces look to the outside world. You might be going into work right now without a care in the world, but let’s brow beat about that because you should care. If you’re a discontent person, don’t think that it’s disguised behind the veil of your fake face. It’s not hard to figure out if your a mean stupid idiot or not.

I won’t forget about the time going into work as a maintenance engineer (said lightly because there was still so much for me to learn) of a 14-story, five star, class AA office tower building (flex) to talk with the site supervising security officer at the time about life.

The officer was telling me about a circumstance in life that greatly concerned me because of the compromise of integrity and character that not only harmed himself, but had the potential to deteriorate the health of his family. So needless to say the conversation became serious enough that the officer said, “lets brow beat outside”. Once the conversation concluded, much respect was developed for each other by our ability to agree and disagree without compromising the relationship.

Now unfortunately that is not always the case. But the point is that our facial expressions have just as much power if not more, to deliver a message, as our words do.

So what message are you sending to yourself and the world today?

If you’re not content. Why aren’t you? Maybe this will help…

It’s funny! No idea my wife was recording me laugh at what I still thought was so funny, but probably even more funny that my wife has this confused look (again those facial expressions) why I find some things so funny that are not funny to her at all. I think that makes the situation more hilarious!

Anyway … I’ve crossed my deadline getting this published before the work day began. I hope it finds you with joy and if not, will put you in a joyful mood. I know it’s hard sometimes especially when in a state of depression.

In love.

The “Bridge” Illustration (Part 1)

The Heart Of Lucifer

I’m speaking to those of you who have heard and are still hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ, yet not believing.

I’m not speaking to those who claim they’ve not heard the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I think the lot of you not believing in this gospel is grounded on a profound question:

Does that mean those who have not heard are going to Hell?

My quick opinionated answer is “way above my pay grade” and a strong “depends” (potential future post) because wherever they are in their respective regions of the world are entirely entrusted to the providential care of God. (Romans 1:18-32) (Romans 2:12-16)

I need you only narrow your gaze in retrospect of your personal belief system. But widen your gaze in respect of what we are about to discover in the Bible together.

We are going to discover some spiritual clarity by this satellite view of the gospel.

BP1

You’ll find the same photo presented above in the previous (Introduction) post. But thisBefore the Beginning of Man time our view is not so disoriented as in the previous photo, because we could not perceive whether we’re looking skyward at the clouds, or a fog, maybe dense smoke in the wind?

But we now have some clarity. We have a satellite view of the Earth looking at clouds over the Indian Ocean with Indonesia and Malaysia to the east.

If you are a person that does not believe in the God of the Bible, the testimony of Jesus Christ. Then my confrontation is that you have a disorienting view of your future that threatens the condition of your soul and place in eternity.

That confrontation has the potential to come across judgmental—as though the answer of my hypothetical is the gavel to your freedom. I’ll assure you that that is not the case.

I lived in a thought that I believed, but didn’t truly understand what that meant until realizing more and more, day after day, the process of sanctification. Mind you, it is still in process. So lets widen our gaze.

BP1.

The gospel instructs me to make disciples; the bible is my instruction manual, and the Spirit of God is bearing witness to all that is being written by me and read by you; it is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God, so although humorous at times, do not take this lightly; my soul and spirit are distressed at the concern for those who can honestly say from within that they’ve heard the gospel, but are scared to trust in the message and or have turned away from the faith altogether.

Don’t be afraid. Come trust in this gospel of Jesus Christ. You’re being recruited for war against the evil oppressor of your soul and the souls of all nations.

The harvest is plenty, but the workers are few.

Stick with me! Because in case you didn’t notice by the plethora of distractions, we‘re on the verge of a misconception.

self-sustainability *

How that ties, comes together, is actually the start of our revelation to the “bridge” illustration. It begins at the heart of Lucifer revealed in the 2nd and 3rd chapters of Genesis, the 14th chapter of Isaiah, 28th chapter of Ezekiel, and the 12th/13th chapters of Revelation.

Don’t misinterpret or misunderstand the use of the video above. I’m not “knocking it”. Technology is a useful tool when maintained in biblical context. That video is only meant to describe and enlighten how advanced we are and to alert the christian children growing up in this age to an inevitable prophecy. Don’t freak out!

Oh yeah. Time for some coffee!

Why Men Should Have Long Hair

No offense to the men with short or no hair. This is the first time I’ve grown my hair out as long as it is and I must say, it can feel real good when your wife plays with it! There is something about having long hair that gives a sense of accomplishment! So if you’re capable of growing it out, try it, but if not, get a wig. It will be fun and funny.

Pros To Men With Long Hair:
  • If you’re married or have girls, expect it decorated and played with on the regular.
  • When well groomed, the look can give off a strong sophisticated appearance.
  • Samson
  • Conversation starter on 1 Corinthians 11:14 (although that hasn’t happened yet).
  • Once long enough, you can donate it.
  • Enlightenment on the maintenance that seems to come so naturally for ladies.

Cons To Men With Long Hair:
  • None

Kidding. There are actually several cons to men with long hair, but that can wait for a future post!

Exit To Enter

Exit To Enter

Have you seen the movie, “The Adjustment Bureau”. If you haven’t I think it’s worth the watch because sometimes you’re at a place in life where the exit of what you thought was your career or direction is worth the risk.

There is a scene toward the end of this movie that will resonate with anyone, if it doesn’t, then you don’t have a soul. Kidding. But seriously, watch this scene!

It’s awesome because both David (Matt Damon) and Elise (Emily Blunt) reject an inexorable plan of success for the opportunity at love. They both took the “exit” of their separate reality’s that would otherwise lead to impact the future for good by their success to “enter” a reality of unity in love despite the odds. That requires a great deal of faith that I believe is available at the very core of our nature. And once tapped into, you’ve succeeded the plan of your environment to face uncertainty and death with freedom. Do you feel free? It might be time to consider an exit.

When You’ve Cheated On Her In Her Dream

When You’ve Cheated On Her In Her Dream

I wake up to my wife getting ready for work and check how I can help, make coffee, prepare food, or whatever to get her on her way. But something was off. I notice some distance. Before asking anything, she says, “I’m a little mad at you because you cheated on me in my dream.” Now…I’m laughing on the inside because she is trying hard not to treat me like this actually happened, but assure her that it was just a dream. Then she asks, “What would you have done if I caught you?”

The narcissistic egotistical pride thought process says, “That question is unwarranted and is not possible because I wouldn’t get caught.” and (even if that thought is a joke) would invalidate her present feelings. Don’t do that. The considerate prudent thought process is realizing how this dream has affected her, and embracing with, “It wouldn’t be healthy for me to answer as though that has or were going to happen; the thoughts that surround that question only mean for harm on the covenant of our marriage, but let me reassure that I love you and will honor our marriage.”

Husbands and Wives. Marriages. Let this be an encouragement to you. We are at war, not against each other, but for each other!

With love.

The Bridge Illustration

(Introduction)

Let there be curiosity.

Do you ever wonder about your beginning?  Your parents’ parents, their parents, on and on? And how about your existence, living at this present time with a detailed conscience that defines who you are and whats more; a consciousness about yourself, others, and God? What about your end, when you die? Do you wonder about that? Or how about the future, the end of your children and their grandchildren? Are you wondering, will you wonder…?

Before the Beginning of Man

Moses of the Bible was a man who wondered. He wondered at the sight of a burning bush (Exodus 3) that would not be consumed. This bush changed Moses’ life! I can hear you christian critics now “it wasn’t the bush…” neh neh neh

tenor

Disclaimer: I (Nathan Dooley) am not an ordained minister…yet. It could happen one day. Just saying.

And I would agree with you…definitely not the “bush” that changed his life; it was the appropriate tangible object to use for the presence of God and His awareness to a specific problem which Moses’ gets insight, clarification, prophecy, and power to be a solution. He became the man [vessel, or instrument of God] to deliver his fellow Hebrew people, the people of God, Israel, from Egyptian slavery to a promised land of milk and honey. He brought forth what we are now dissecting in the 21st century (Exodus 34:27)—the first five books (Genesis—Deuteronomy) of the Pentateuch (Greek) or Torah (Hebrew) Bible. The scripture in the photo above gives me a bit of insight into what Moses discovered from God, the beginning before the beginning of man (Genesis 2:4-6). If you have not realized by now, this is not your typical “”the “bridge” illustration”” you’d find through research as shown below:

bridge ill research

Which is some awesome content worth looking into! But I want to go further and deeper because this bridge stretches “As far as the east is from the westSo far has He removed our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:12)…

…, from past to future, beginning…to end.

To get back where I’d left off. I think it’s important to note that Moses had a very important entrepreneurial trait, he was a risk taker. When realizing that the bush was not consumed by the fire could’ve reacted like “AWE HAIL NAW, NOPE, NOT HAPPEN-IN!” and ran away. But he didn’t do that; it was more like, “let me check this here awesome burning but not burnt bush out, mmm-kay.”. Funny aside, actually, and quite literally according to the NASB of Exodus 3:3—”I must turn aside now and see this marvelous sight, why the bush is not burned up.”

QUESTION:

WHAT IS A RISK YOU’VE TAKEN OR WOULD TAKE THAT HAS OR WOULD CHANGE YOUR LIFE? WRITE IT IN THE COMMENTS BELOW.

Take a risk with me now. For those of you who do not believe or are otherwise on the fence about believing in God, this is your burning bush moment. Your name is being called. Go meet God. Matter of fact, envision this:

You type “Go meet God” in your google maps (which could also be your nearest “Barnes & Noble” or “Half Price Books” that have Bibles available) and then hear my navigating voice upon your arrival at a Bible location, “you have arrived at your burning bush”. Get it, instead of “destinat…

weird face

Alright never-mind, that was weird, scratch that:

You type “Go meet God” in your google maps (which could also be your nearest “Barnes & Noble” or “Half Price Books” that have Bible’s available) and then hear my navigating voice upon your arrival at a Bible location, “you have arrived at your burning bush”. Get it, instead of “destinat…moving on.

But seriously. Take the risk to go meet God. Check out this link for the BibleGateway, or install the YouVersion bible app on your phone, find your nearest library or book store; it’s all at your finger tips, but read the Bible to hear the Word of God and listen with all that you are and everything you’ve got (heart, mind, soul, and strength). Why take the risk? You might ask. Because death pricks at the conscience of the living. Our life is an experience that feels on fire, yet not consumed. I believe that death bears testimony of a wrong doing in history where we as a created being of God missed the mark and are due justice. I also believe that God was completely prepared for such an event and that is where we’ll find Christ, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Let this introduction of the bridge illustration peak your interest to discover your faith and take the risk to believe in the God of the Bible, the gospel of Jesus Christ. Because without faith to believe, you will not understand what is to come. Thank you for reading the >introduction<! Now go meet God and I’ll hope your back for <part 1>!

Chronological Bible Study-The Beginning of Beginnings

img_4762-1.jpg
The Baker Book of Bible Charts, Maps, and Time Lines

Join me on Mt. Sinai with God and Moses to discover the beginning of our beginning. This is a very exhausting study but well worth the time and effort. In my Bible I learn that Moses is the author of the first five books also known as the Pentateuch. These books were more than likely written during the 40-year period of Israel’s wanderings in the desert: 1446—1406 BC

Note: the “BC” given after the calendar year (1446—1406 BC) means “Before Christ” but if you see “BCE” (nowadays), don’t be alarmed, it just means “Before Common Era“. (According to my research). The reasons surround appeasing those not Christian and an arguably inaccurate calculation of  Jesus’ birth. It’s believed that Jesus Christ was born around 6—4 BC, which is why these labels (BCE/CE) “CE” for “Common Era” are being used today by many publications rather than (BC/AD) “AD” meaning “the year of the Lord” as it references a Latin phrase: anno domini (“the year of the Lord”—after Jesus was born.)

So why Moses? “God… Why Moses?”—A prayer guiding me through a lot of scripture to uncover the context of that time. Moses was beautiful in the sight of his mother and lovely in the sight of God. God heard the outcry of the sons of Israel at the time of their oppression in Egypt and remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. It’s time to organize the sons of Israel as God’s covenant people and Moses is the man God will be with to do it. It all points to Jesus Christ.

I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning (Conclusion)

Featured photo: Ben Jacobi www.bdjphoto.com

“17 The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” 18 And He said to them, “I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning. 19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you.” (Luke 10)

What demons are effecting you? I needed to read this again. The serpents and scorpions I face are but whispers of fleeting pleasures that distract me from my purpose. I ask myself, “How do I defeat them? There are so many.” The enemy whispers back, “here’s an idea…” And so here I am, stuck in this pattern of doubtful questions, my faith deteriorating. Revive me Lord, save me from this present evil, You are my salvation. Your blood alone is the ink of my name in the book of life. I will follow you, teach me by Your Spirit as you taught people in the time of your flesh. I love you. Amen.

I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning (Part 1)

Featured photo: Ben Jacobi www.bdjphoto.com

Who is Satan? I think gotquestions.org answers this question well. But how was this angelic being susceptible to evil? That intrigues me. If I’m not careful how to explore the meaning of such a question, might be in danger of the same demise as Satan. We can observe that evil is available at the throne of God, but although available, does not penetrate God. How can we know? I believe the answer is found by a relationship with His Son.

Jesus Christ (the Son of God) said this:

17 The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” 18 And He said to them, “I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning. 19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you.” (Luke 10)

Is it not a matter of faith to trust a person at their word? Say my dad owns a business that he entrusts to professions, and I (his son) am sent to tell those professionals the reason for our success is their shared ownership of this company. The professionals operated as laborers, but once I arrived as rightful owner to tell them of their ownership…they operated as professionals. Why the change? Because, by faith, they believed to be owners, and rightfully so because my word is true. To question my authority is to be without faith in who I am, where I came from, and the power I have. I believe the same to be true in that passage of scripture. If I believe in the testimony of Jesus as Jew from Nazareth and Son of God risen from death by the power of God, and provoke by questioning what authority He has, am doubting who He is, where He came from, and the power He has. Do not put the Lord your God to the test (Luke 4:12). Alright, I need some ice cream…see you in part 2.

Coffee At Midnight In The Giant City

Featured photo: Ben Jacobi www.bdjphoto.com

Have you ever discovered the moment you’re awake at midnight with some coffee looking at a photo that is talking to you? That is where I’m at. When I first encountered this photo the word “maze” came to mind describing my immediate perception, but learned that this maze is called “Giant City” in Illinois. But aside from that information. This photo that speaks is, actually, not the one talking.

The very Person in my mind I think about when looking into this photo is Jesus Christ. But I don’t claim to see an image of a person I’ve never seen, nor do I claim to hear His voice having never heard what it sounds like. I claim to perceive Him. There are a number of different ways this photo is interpreted for bearing meaning in my life, but there is only one that will make a difference. The meaning of Jesus Christ. When I look at this photo I experience a walk with the Holy Spirit of God teaching me the truth about myself within the maze of this world. No matter the path this world has to offer, it is a path to death just as you see the paths presented in the photo, but there is a path you won’t see unless you perceive it. That path, is a path of faith.

To experience faith is to place your confidence in a promise that someone gives you.

I promise you, follow me and we’ll get out of this maze.

The question is whether you’ll believe in the promise even if the person that promised dies. That is what Jesus Christ—being the image of God as the Son of God—promised. He promised that He would be raised from the dead and resurrected to the right hand of God. That is recorded to have happened in history past, but is still a living promise today. The promise is for those that believe to be resurrected with Him right now, having been baptized with Christ as a symbol of obedience by repentance. You’ve chosen to acknowledge that all born from the seed of Adam are guilty of sin (lust, idolatry, and pride) and so convicted to the point of death that you place your trust in the promise of God. The grace of God is given through that promise of faith, you have mercy, not wrath. But if you do not believe in that promise, you have His wrath, not mercy.

So my purpose in the maze of this world is to plant a seed, a seed of promise. The promise that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true. Everyone is born into this life by the design of God, a design that was good corrupted by evil. So every person has had, has, and will have the opportunity to believe, ask the thief on the cross that died with Christ.

A Letter Of Faith To The Unbelieving

Nathan, a believer in the faith of God my Father and Christ Jesus my Lord writing after the example of ambition in the apostles,

To a world under the influence:

It has been written that the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that you might not see the image of God. This letter is being written with a prayer, hope, and warning for you to remove the veil that blinds your mind. In the conscience of an unbelieving soul affections are stirred to please oneself. There is a truth of conviction within that is rejected, because the conviction informs our conscience of right and wrong. Where does this conviction come from? There is a power of good and evil within the sphere of life we live, the unbelieving will choose a life of rejecting the truth because of our design incapable of fully grasping the understanding of God, Who is good. We turn from the prayer of God’s desire, that all would be saved, and choose a life of a god (“I don’t need saving”). As once an unbeliever myself, thought myself a believer deluded by the desire to sin. No different than the delusion of those who would call themselves a “good person”, but knew within wasn’t good by the standard of righteousness every soul is convicted of. I was too arrogant to think of myself as someone broken by a fault not my own. Evil would have my unbelief believe that there was no such thing as a faith that can give confidence at the judgement seat of Christ; that I can continue in a sin hidden to the naked eye, and not reap the punishment. Do not mistake the warning of Hell as a threat, but recognize the warning as an authority given to Christ Jesus. The image of God is the Spirit of Jesus Christ in the believer. Jesus Christ was resurrected by God with a new body, not the body that was slain on the cross. A Body that is a Spirit living in every believer, and that Spirit is transforming the body of a believer into a Body of the image of God. And so just as the Spirit of God in the flesh of His Son, Jesus was sacrificed for those who will believe; so to now is the body of believers being sacrificed by the preaching of the gospel as a reflection of the only true sacrifice for the salvation of a believing soul. Now is the time to believe, unbeliever. The grace and mercy of God are here at this time to be received through Christ the Lord, Jesus.

Preaching from Heaven

Soon the season will change and with it its’ colors. As the weather turns cold, the leaves of the trees fall to the ground with a message from heaven. One leaf says, “This is what it’s like to fly.” How can this leaf bring a message of flying having never flown? The leaf says, “If you knew the tree of which I fell, you would know what it’s like to fly.” There are many trees and leaves and every leaf comes from one tree. Of all the trees and leaves, why is it that this leaf seems to know what it’s like to fly and not the others? The leaf says, “Because those leaves came from only trees of which know what it’s like to fall.

The Revelation of Eve

Last Segment-6

18 But I say, surely they have never heard, have they? Indeed they have;

Their voice has gone out into all the earth,
And their words to the ends of the [b]world.”

 (Romans 10:17)

A revelation occurred when the wife of the man took the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. There was no convincing the woman otherwise, it was either believe the deception of the serpent or remain in perfect harmony with God. That deception is still occurring today…the words of that serpent are still in the ears of this world. People often question why a follower of Christ imposes their belief on this world, or are annoyed at the concern that someone is going to Hell. The reason for that concern is the revelation of Eve—a repercussion.

At the time of the first man and woman before their deception, everything existed in perfect harmony with God. But at their deception something just didn’t seem to add up. Because the consequence by their disobedience was to die. And they didn’t die but seemed to have…upgraded, “behold the man has become like one of Us knowing good and evil;…”. What? So…they become like God, or as…gods?

Hold up. Let’s go back one verse, verse 21 of Genesis 3. How did God make garments of skin for Adam and his wife Eve, to clothe them? Did something need to die? Reader, you and I both know that we are alive to eventually die, but what is death? Death is our flesh of sin that we live in. We inherited it from the skin of Adam and Eve. But this skin is different from flesh, it was given as a covering of grace, because we shouldn’t exist. We are not worthy to exist unless God is our reason for…Love. To love someone is to willingly die for them.

We inherited a seed of life from this death we live because of the Love of God. There is only one worthy to die that we might live, and that one, my dear reader, is the Son of God…Jesus! No one, nothing proves worthy of salvation for creation other than the innocence of God. That is the only way to transfer innocence. That an innocent one die for the guilty one. The sin of man and woman attempts to justify their wrong. Whereas love understands to tell the truth. The revelation of Eve is in her seed (Genesis 3:15). That seed, was the seed of God by way of the Holy Spirit of God. Jesus Christ is that seed born innocent by the virgin Mary. Because he was not born of the seed of Adam…which is to inherit sin.

God took the blame of our sin. Jesus remained silent when acused falsely, although innocent, He took the blame because it was decided by God before the beginning. That was the mystery. God decided how He would save us before we decided to break His command. That is the revelation of Eve—the revelation of creation is the innocent body and blood of Jesus, as the perfect Word of God for reconciliation to God. It is by grace through faith in the resurrection of Jesus from the dead by the power of God that a believer is saved. He is preparing a place for those that are saved, right now.

…the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven… (Colossians 1:23)

Juneteenth Freedom Day or Emancipation Day for Zero Tolerance

America,

You have no need to become educated by what this day represents. In celebration and concern to commemorate today, I write this post. Have you heard the news? Look and see! Slaves are free! Here you go, let it be!

It infuriates me to learn about such injustices of our history, prompting so many questions that quickly induce an emotional high on the subject. It’s ironic that today, in our news, we are faced with evolved injustices as result of those previous. An example is given by how we are treating people at the border of Mexico and the U.S. that prompts more questions evident by widespread uproar. I will not dishonor our president in obedient practice of what is learned through the teaching of the gospel, as every believer who fears the Lord would quickly remind themselves.

16 Act as free men, and [a]do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bondslaves of God. 17 Honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the [b]king.

18 Servants, be submissive to your masters with all respect, not only to those who are good and gentle, but also to those who are [c]unreasonable.

1 Peter 2

Mr. President of the United States of America:

There is an abundance of information that proves indignant regarding the zero tolerance policy?

People of America:

There is a different way of conducting ourselves to provide a point of influence, but the war is not against our President or flesh and blood! That needs to be clear!

Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against [a]flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.

Ephesians 6

The Mother Of All Living

Featured photo: Ben Jacobi www.bdjphoto.com

Segment-5

“…because she was the mother of all the living.” (Genesis 3:20)

I’ve experienced the pain of passing a kidney stone… It was excruciating! And, I’ve been told that, that it is the closest resemblance of pain a man can experience to a woman giving birth. Personally, I don’t think it compares—even though there is a sense of pride by having that relation.

After reviewing the previous segment, hope to have appropriately used the marital love scenery between man and woman (male and female) to describe the level of intimacy God has for His Wife (creation). That intimacy exemplifies to educate the soul about love and how that Spirit of Love is producing life to our vessels of flesh. You should be able to see how a Father and Mother (God) breathed genesis into the first human being. We are all made in the image and likeness of God (man and woman, male and female). The art of a man and woman features the mind, heart, and nature (Personality) of God as Love living in everything to apply reason, purpose, and practicality. I believe this to be so important to understand as this world has been twisted into a falsity. There is a purely innocent act of pleasure to procreate, but has, and is…become more and more perverted with unnatural desires for release to an addiction. Our tool of technology is dangerous, but useful with the right skill. An ability to provide a plethora of information that connects each of us to one simple understanding… We’re addicted. Addicted to sin. But the skill manipulating the tool of technology is more importantly resolved by rejoicing—in the providence of God. Take biology as an example (use google to research biology).  There are several branches to the tree of biology, but I’ve become fixated on the cell. Research, ‘What is a cell‘ and find out how cells “…are the building blocks for all living things”. In the process of my learning more about the cell find a peculiar theme that dominates the study: conversion. What happens to a person who smokes? Their lungs convert to tar. Those cells are revealing information that relay a message, “This is not natural. You! Are! Going! Tooo! DIE…”. Cells seem to be the “tattletales” of your body’s condition, reporting the news whether heathy or unhealthy of and for your survival. Cells also describe your personality. By this, I see, the providence of God. Can you see the reason why life is conscious? How not only that we’re aware of being alive, but how we can relate to God and God relate to us? Can you see the reason we can understand right from wrong? We’re not limited by the ground of which we were made, but limited by the grace through faith in Whom we believe converts us—conversion. The power of God.

Is it difficult, or possibly scary, for you to be…subjectively objective…of an eternity not your own—living in the mind of God for the purpose of God as a child of God? And is it scary because your not in control of God, or…is it that, you are not the judge of your own reality? Time in the Word of God, is time with Jesus in the Kingdom of God… You begin to learn the environment of eternality! An evil nature is lived as rejecting the truth of our purpose; which is described as denying a relationship with God by choosing our own (sin) nature verses subjecting ourselves to our original nature (before sin); meaning that we are a conflicted nature in need of restoration due to inheriting condemnation at the beginning. That condemnation is by deception, but reconciliation is by revelation of conception (conceiving the Word of God)—the Spirit of the living God is then being produced in the believing soul as a baby waiting to be born. (Just as the Spirit of God hovered over His creation {the virgin Mary} to conceive Jesus, the Child of God—so too, do we Christians, conceive the Word of God {Jesus} to live reflecting the testimony of Truth and Love so that you might believe and have everlasting life)

20 Now the man called his wife’s name [h]Eve, because she was the mother of all the living. (Genesis 3)

Why did the man name his wife, Eve, and why “was” she the mother of all the living. Can you see the truth within our nature and reason to believe? (God is revealing the Character of Himself, *Himself*, meaning a perfect relationship between a male and female God, no different that a woman taking on the last name of her husband). So a Holy Invisible God is nurturing us into a life of understanding. Understanding the eternal nature of God by enlightenment of revelation through inspiration of the Holy Spirit of God. If you are choosing to deny that understanding… Why?

Intimacy with my Woman

Featured photo: Ben Jacobi www.bdjphoto.com

Segment-4

Women, what do you think the man meant by exclaiming “…bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh”, and what do you think happened after that marriage ceremony? I think any man would say… sex. I mean…that’s what I’d be saying anyway, without meaning it perverted. Here are two adult created beings that I believe God is using to reveal the level of intimacy God has with us. A person who is “single” should be experiencing a much more in-depth level of intimacy with God because, there are no distractions and or stains polluted by this world’s view of marriage; it’s completely meditative and expressed by devotion in serving God (however that looks, I’ll ask a person that decided to be single and completely devoted in serving God – stay tuned).

24 For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh. 25 And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed. (Genesis 2)

In light of the described marriage verses above, I see that the first man had matured to be ready for a family, a…Son. My train of thought takes me to a place—after this love scene—where I can envision the wife as being pregnant, but remember, the picture or imagery of this husband and wife is—God and Creation. In other words, God (Man) is the very seed implanted into a perfect Creation (Woman); that is the painting—as God is the artist—of what I see. The orgasm could be the reason for discovering the “Big Bang”! Just saying. But anyway, the material of what we see and experience is revealed as a child or children being born. Jesus Christ is that child of God, invisible, but alive, at the right hand of His Father. That is a reason for these verses below, I think…

15 [w]He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For [x]by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. 17 He [y]is before all things, and in Him all things [z]hold together. 18 He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. 19 For [aa]it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the [ab]fullness to dwell in Him, 20 and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in [ac]heaven.

21 And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, 22 yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach— 23 if indeed you continue in [ad]the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, [ae]was made a [af]minister. (Colossians 1)

See you in the next segment…
