Why Hamartiology?

My hope and prayer for doing this study is not only to be a resource long after my passing—in the patience of our Lord—but that the reader will be equipped with the language in which God uses for our salvation, having poured out the Holy Spirit for us to know the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 2:33); the devil is a liar and the father of lies (John 8:44). How do we discern the truth from the lie, from history past to our 21st century of 2022 Anno Domini and future beyond?

The directive every Christian has by the Holy Spirit is to stop sinning , and to do that we must first understand: Who, What, When, Where, Why and How sin exists. Upon accomplishing this will inevitably effect the demolition to our “sin-structure” of the lie in which we’ve borne for the devil’s will and be quickened by the right to become children of God (John 1:12), moved to sacred ground to cultivate and build on the truth for righteousness and the will of God—who cannot lie (Titus 1:2); to maintain the course of this world in sin will inevitably solidify our “sin-structure” to the consequence of what the devil has to offer— (Matthew 4, Luke 4), and the outcome is warned (John 16:5-11; Rom. 2:5; Heb. 10:26-27; James 3:1; 1 Peter 4:17; 2 Peter 2:9, 3:7; Jude 1:15; Rev. 14:7, 20 {whole chapter}) because you and I—by grace…through faith (Eph. 2:8)—have freedom to escape the snare of our father the devil (2 Timothy 2:26) for good works of faith that will last even when burned by fire if the quality of the work is revealed worthy (1 Cor. 3:10-15). Faith overcomes the narrative of sin (1 John 5:4-6).
